I've been a costumer here for 3months. Paying 79.99 a month for my package ( red light, unlimited spray and tanning.) Today I was told by (unknown name) who was working the front counter that because it was 4:25pm and they close at 5pm on Sunday's that I wouldn't be able to get my spay tan because there was another lady infront of me in line. So basically because she didn't want to do extra work or get out of work later than 5pm that I get to leave an unhappy costumer and go on my vacation to myrtle beach tomorrow morning before they even open super pale!! (which I'm not sure when spray tans take 20+ mins per person all of a sudden anyways). Very disappointing that it seems costumer service is not a thing for some people now a days. Not to mention every time I see this young lady working she's constantly on her cell phone. ALSO about a month and a half ago with the same girl at the front desk, I went tanning in the first booth on the left (high pressure bed) I had the door opened up on me and it was wide open the entire time I was tanning....they tried to tell me that I didn't lock the door or close the door all the way and that's why both doors were wide open for everyone to look in at me while tanning. Well now every time I go tanning here I take a video of me locking the door and making sure it's completely closed so they couldn't tell me otherwise next this happens. I have been going to Tropical Exposure Tanning since it opened in Edgewater. The front desk attendants are always a pleasure to talk with. My mom will only use bed 8 they know her and have the bed ready as soon as she comes in. They always over the best deals on monthly packages!! The beds are ALWAYS CLEAN I never have to worry about not having a clean bed or rude service! Their tanning lotions either you buy it by the pack or the bottle are always sold at a great price, they don't just try to sell you the most expensive product, but by what you're needs are and what's going to give you the best tan! I have been coming to tan here for several years, I tried another place a year ago and it was ghastly, I will never go anywhere else but tropical exposure the staff is incredible, Michael is very helpful and very pleasant every time I come in! Just got myself a month membership. I don't tan really and only need to even out my skin tone for a special occasion but it's a nice and clean place. And they leave a mint on the bed. I liked that I could do just one month and pay in cash. Most places request a CC. Not here and that's alright with me. Didn't give 5 stars because its a bit pricey...$60 a month. Yikes...if it were about half that price I may have kept my membership. read more

Tropical Exposure is the best tanning salon ever! The salon is always kept very clean (most important), the beds are nice and they have a variety of beds and tanning solutions to meet everyone's need. The owner Mike is super friendly and always has great energy! I've been going there for 10 years now. Every Spring I start the monthly unlimited package and usually go for 2 months to get a good base tan so that, come summertime, I don't burn and able to maintain that perfect summertime glow. I'm able to buy my lotions and bronzer right in the store. They provide little sticker decals so I can see how dark my skin is actually getting. Mike is always available to answer questions, give advice and/or make recommendations when it comes to options and obtaining your perfect summertime glow! I've been going to this tanning salon for a few years now and I must say that the owner and manager Mike and Amanda are awesome.. The rest of the staff seems to change on a regular basis.. Most of which can be found on their phones or eating at random times of the day.. When I first started going here I would have given the place 5 out of 5 stars based solely on customer service (which still exists there today). I'm giving them 4 stars today for a few reasons.. 1) I think they need the change the carpet in this place.. every time I tan now, I feel like I'm standing on a bacteria ridden floor (maybe redo with tile?) 2) I like the variety of beds, maybe include a stand-up bed option?) and 3) train new staff to sanitize beds more efficiently and effectively.. Overall its a good tanning salon with various beds and products to suit your needs.. If Mike or Amanda are there you are guaranteed a GREAT experience.. read more
