Lisa at Sunburst Tans is absolutely amazing! Not only is she an incredible professional, but she's also so friendly and makes you feel completely comfortable in what can otherwise be a pretty awkward, "naked" situation. I booked their bridal package, which included a trial tan and a final tan for the wedding, and it was worth every penny. Lisa was extremely knowledgeable about her products and gave thoughtful recommendations for my specific needs. I went with the sweat/active protectant layer (a must for me -- I'm very sweaty) and the clear develop spray. The solution went on super evenly, wasn't runny at all, and developed into the perfect color. Even with ocean water and lots of activity on my honeymoon, my tan lasted beautifully for almost a week after! During the trial, Lisa worked closely with me to find the perfect formula for my skin and body, and she even followed up a few days later to make sure I was happy with the results. For the final wedding spray, we did the exact same process, and it came out flawless. It even rained that day, and she went above and beyond to walk me to my car and give me the best aftercare instructions. I can't recommend Lisa enough -- I will absolutely be going back to her for all my future spray tans. Totally worth the value and then some! read more

Came here with a group of ladies for a spa day to celebrate a special occasion. Had the pleasure of working with Emily to coordinate everything in advance. She was very communicative throughout the entire planning process and helped to make this such an easy experience. There were 7 of us total and each of us walked out with a smile on ours faces. It was the relaxation we were looking for. My only note... since there are two locations, I would recommend noting which services are available at which location on the website. Very unhappy. This was a surprise for my daughter's b day. My massage therapist was good. The girl at the front desk was nice and the vide was good. My daughter had a male masseuse. I paid 179.00 and he did not even give her half of what I paid for. I called to speak with the manager , my call was never returned. I will never go back such as waste of over 300. 00. She had me sit down and talk to her beforehand about any problem spots. She asked me about pressure preference. I said strong, and she delivered! She kept checking in with me about the pressure during the massage and I was so blissed out I kept having to ask her to repeat her questions. I was so embarrassed, but she was so nice about it! I mentioned some knots in my legs and she really dug in. I could feel the circulation improving. I also mentioned tight shoulders and she did this motion where she held my arm out while she worked on my shoulder. I could feel all of the tension release. It was incredible. I've gotten two facials at Even Keel Annapolis. One amazing and one traumatic experience. First facial with Renee - absolutely amazing. Renee was gentle, soft spoken, quiet and gave me the most relaxing facial experience. Second facial with Samantha - the most condescending, disrespectful, and belittling experience. She spent more time talking/lecturing me than on the actual facial. I told her multiple times that I just came to relax/get some peace. She had no self awareness. After the facial, I tried to give her feedback but was silenced with disgusting facial expressions and interruptions. When I tried to speak over her she said I was making HER uncomfortable. Even after leaving in tears I decided to reach out to the owner before writing a review. She had "heard about this very unfortunate situation and was shocked to hear about it" I asked her to call me said she was "out with bronchitis(no voice), bedridden and potentially going to the hospital" but if I "felt the need to talk about it again she could have someone else reach out to me" This was 6 days ago and I haven't heard from anyone. How can a business owner hear that a customer had such a horrible experience and felt that the esthetician was racist but not call to make sure they were okay? How can a business owner act like the customer is an inconvenience? I hope she's feeling better but if I were in her shoes I would have my partner/s handle the situation if I didn't have the physical capacity to do so myself. My gut tells me this isn't the first the master esthetician aka top producer has treated someone this way and the owner clearly condones this type of behavior. I do believe other wonderful people like Renee and Bonnie work here/you can have a great experience as I did the first time. But if you want to feel heard and respected I would go elsewhere especially if you're a POC. read more

If I could give Even Keel 10 stars, I would! I had my first visit yesterday and it was nothing short of amazing! I instantly loved the vibe. The scent was soft and clean, the atmosphere was darkish which immediately soothed me, the hospitality was pleasant. It was a chilled environment that I already knew would carry me through the rest of my experience. Samantha Nice came out and escorted me to the treatment room. It was a simple appointed rom with a great smelling diffuser that pushed out lavender. We talked for about 10 minutes about my cleaning routine, what I was hoping to gain from the treatment. I felt that Samantha really understood the assignment! I think I may have gotten four treatments and each was better than the one before. Samantha was magical from beginning to end. I promise you I will be returning. I enjoyed it so much that I gifted my son the same experience. We are heading back next week at which time I will make the next six appointments for myself. I've been to many spas in the US (including NYC, LA, Miami, Chicago, yada yada) and other countries, and hands down Even Keel is my absolute favorite for massage and facials. Why? Samantha, a magician esthetician, who is genuinely caring, sweet, and the most authentic person you could ever meet to me and everyone I've seen her interact with, transformed my skin from blah to beautiful. I am over 45 and often get compliments on my skin since I've been going to Sam for facials and using the amazing skin products she brought into the spa. That didn't happen before, even during the many years I used Chanel, La Mer and other top skin products in the past. My massage therapist, Aleasha, has done wonders for me. She's the bomb. I was in a terrible accident that wrecked my back and Aleasha's knowledge of anatomy, her tremendous therapeutic experience and expertise helped me from needing my husband to get me out of bed in the am (it was so upsetting because I was very fit) to jumping out of bed, seriously. I had tried others, including PT, but no one was as effective as Aleasha. PLUS, the front desk is wonderful and everyone I've interacted with at Even Keel is very kind, caring, and professional.
