I asked for a Swedish massage with medium pressure. The gentleman was putting his elbow and arms on my left arm and back area so hard that I had to say stop!! He had to go and get someone to tell him what to do, bc he didn't speak English. I asked for tea tree oil with my hot stones and instead I smell like medicine. Told the front desk all of this before paying and all he said was next time we will put you in the back!!!! All $125.00 plus $20.00 tip ( I only tipped because we all have to eat). I have been so lax about my review, I'm ashamed to tell you I've gone there three times already! I guess that tells you how good it is. I didn't really understand the admonition on the phone when I set my first appointment, to "pay with cash if you can". I was a bit concerned that it might be a shady business ;) It most definitely is not! You get a punch card if you pay in cash, and get a free massage after 10. Anyway, it's very clean and restfully decorated. Check in was easy, using their tablet. They ask that you circle areas of attention, and this is where I kind of went wrong the first time. I circled something and tried to make the "No" sign on it, but they didn't understand. Let me explain: except for the young man who staffs the front desk, English seems limited at least for the two masseuses I've had. So I had a bit of a time explaining my exceptionally tender Achilles tendon that can't be touched. On my third visit, I took a photo from a website, on which I drew the "NO" symbol around the area. I was a little afraid to offend someone but they actually seemed to appreciate it. All three massages were out of this world for excellence. I tried the hot oil and stones for the second; it was nice but I won't have it every time. I'm going once a month to treat myself, and an hour at $75 is such a good price for how great I feel afterwards. I always tip well, too - and then the total hits my budgeted limit. The oil and stones are only $15 more, so I plan to do that every 3rd time or so. Splurge! I had two with Ivy and asked for her but she was on vacation for my third. I had the best Massage I have had in a very long time at least that I can remember. Past Massage experiences left me wondering what did I just spend $75 on. This Massage experience left me wanting to go straight home and take a nap. The lady did an excellent job in giving me a relaxing massage. The customer service at the Crofton location is much better as well. I didn't feel rushed nor did I feel pressure when leaving the room to leave a tip. Traffic is at an ultime high at this time but they were still patient. My waze left me hanging at as soon as you make the turn. Make sure you drive all the way down to to the second shopping center. You will see Pet Food/ something similar. My first time, don't see this place often. Facilities, decent clean, pleasant, soft music playing. I booked women. Again, my first time, my butt should have selected light. These ladies have a finger. Starts out good then it's like ok to much. Overall mixed because again, I'm a little sensitive to touch so when checking in, even if Kate really think through how rough or gentle you want them to be. And if being accompanied with done one else be sure you select areas adequately when shifting between colors. My dag on back has some points that hurt to touch. My body was aching and mainly needed a foot massage coming from carnival. They prefer you pay in cash, but it seems they take card as well. They accepted walk-ins and they weren't busy at all. I had a woman and she was great, very gently but also asked if she needed to apply pressure. She complimented me on my skin and she did a great job. I was very relaxed and tipped her well. This isn't a spa type spot nor a Massage Envy type atmosphere the massage tables and rooms are basic, but once I saw the bars on the ceiling I knew I would likely enjoy the massage. Bars are typical of a Thai massage which are different from a Swedish as they use their feet during the massage and it really gets into knots. I don't recommend this style for smaller people or those that can't handle a deep tissue style massage. My therapist was CiCi and she did an excellent job communicating with me and working on my back and shoulders where I typically hurt the most. I had a wonderful experience. Peter was may massage therapist, and he did a wonderful job. I booked the deep tissue one hour massage at 10 am. I presented at 945. Check in and waivers were a breeze. We got right to it. Peter checked in with me at appropriate times to make sure the pressure was ok. I think next time I will go with the essential oils. I skipped it this time but I did not miss it. I treated my mom and brother in November as an early Christmas present since they were visiting from out of town. I've been again since then already. The staff is attentive. So far, I'd recommend Sophia, Vicky, and Emily. I like deep tissue massages, and Sophia walked on my back...basically surfed on me but I loved every minute of it. If you prefer light or medium pressure, they will honor that as well and give you a good rub down. The front desk, Lily, does a great job of getting you checked in. First the ambience was straight-forward, clean, nice decor, comfortable. Unfortunately, I misplaced the business card of the massage therapist but she was a short Chinese woman but she put the "M" in massage! She did not disappoint. I was quite amazed how strong she was in comparison to her size. My fiance' and I will be going back for a couples massage.
