I came in today needing a LOT of help. Daijah to the rescue!!! She was sooo lovely. She was not only knowledgeable about the products Ulta carries, she was extremely patient. She asked questions to better understand who I am and how I would be using the products before she made suggestions. What a GREAT experience! Next time you are there, ask for Daijah! Long lines always. However, the employees that work on the floor are always very helpful. The employees at the register always seem to be in a rush to get you out of the line which is understandable because again the line is always long lol. I just want to start by saying I am forever grateful to a very talented stylist Kate, you did such an amazing job on my hair and made me feel sm more confident. My highlights turned out so nice, exactly how I imagined them. I know for a fact my stylist Kate had sore arms after being done with my hair, I appreciated her patience so much. She made sure to ask if I was tender-headed, which i admitted to being lol. I'm generally quiet and reserved around strangers, and she seemed to acclimate with my energy. Genuinely passionate and skilled in her work. Even though we weren't very chatty (which is my preference) I felt a significantly heightened sense of trust with Kate. She is a very pleasant young woman that carefully follow through the way you want your hair done. She also makes good recommendations regarding products. Super disappointing. I scheduled a hair appointment in September to get my hair done for a wedding in November. In between, I recommended Ulta to a friend to get her hair done for a wedding as well. She let me know that when she showed up, they told her the stylist had a family emergency and they had to cancel her appointment. Things happen, but then today, on the day I'm meant to have an appointment, the same stylist also has a family emergency and they have to cancel! Day of beauty deals for men & women. I could have spent more than the hours I did in there tonight just going through all the sale items! So many great deals on gift sets marked down from $40 to $9.97! That's a bargain. I was greeted promptly upon entering and asked at least 2x if I needed assistance. Very good customer service. I was looking for a specific item and the staff member actually took me to the aisle wher it was located & explained which ones in collection were exactly what I was looking for and offered additional assistance if necessary. Wow, that's service! I will say the store was clean and staff was restocking items so large carts were randomly around the store. However the service was still great. At checkout, the cashier was friendly and helpful, she greeted me and found me in their system so I could receive my rewards points for purchase. By now it was 15 minutes before closing, yet she took her time and made sure everything rang up correctly and then she applied my rewards I forgot I had earned. Overall a productive trip. Service 5/5 Cleanliness 5/5 Staff knowledge of products 5/5 Prices 3.5/5 Product availability 3/5 I had a low expectation going in due to horrible service on several previous visits but tonight they were certainly the opposite of what I previously experienced. I love Ulta beauty products! But this location is an embarrassment. The Ulta cosmetics counter is always messy, with empty shelves, no testers, and opened (and used) products. The "prestige" cosmetics aren't much better. I opened a tester of cream and it was one dry lump. My recommendation: don't make a special trip there to buy a specific item--you'll be disappointed--it won't be in stock. read more

I love to come here whenever I can. I appreciate that they sell from multiple brands as well, which is very useful for those who use products from multiple brands. They also sell a variety of make-up brushes, which is useful for those who prefer to use brushes over tools such as make-up sponges. Yay! This is a great one-stop-shop for all of your grooming needs. Half of the store looks like Sephora with brands like Urban Decay, Too Faced, Stila, etc. but they also have a wall of the more affordable stuff, like Revlon, CoverGirl, Rimmel, etc. There's also a huge selection of hair products and hardware (curling irons, straighteners, and hairdryers) as well as products for men. So for that alone they get the 4 stars. However, the rest of my review is mixed. I tend to prefer Sephora just because I've been shopping there longer and I've earned so many points with them but Ulta also does points and they have lots of coupons. Their shelves are designed a little funny so that it seems like there's never room for more than 3 of each product sitting behind the tester. I've gone a few times looking for specific items only to find the shelf is empty. Then I have to track down an employee for help, which is annoying. The staff here is also less attractive than at Sephora, but in a good way. They seem like real girls wearing a normal amount of makeup (vs. that caked-on look of the Barbies at Sephora) and they don't hover and hound you to try and pressure you into buying loads of stuff. However, that also means that it seems like they don't have as much experience and when I've had questions about products, they don't always have an answer. read more

So, Ulta is convenient for their selection, and there isn't a place with a better selection in the area. However, I visited this location shortly after they opened in the morning. The place just seemed... disheveled. A bunch of racks were near empty, products were disorganized, etc. The staff seemed friendly enough, if a little disorganized. When asked if I had a rewards card, they didn't offer to make me one or tell me about the rewards program. I won't go out of my way if I'm in the area to shop somewhere else, but I'm not going to go out of my way to hit this location either. This is by far my favorite spot to pick up makeup, nail polish, and other assorted beauty products. It's a large, bright, clean store with a friendly staff and good product selection (both expensive and inexpensive). It is very browser friendly and I often end up wandering the aisles looking at things I didn't come in to buy. Plus, there is plenty of parking. I far prefer this store to the other similar area store, Sephora, in the Towson mall - which is poorly lit, cramped, and is often out of stock of whatever I happen to be looking for. If you've been going there and not checked out this Ulta, you need to - so much better! read more

Love. This. Store. I'm here way too much! They have a great staff of ladies who are very helpful and always say "hi" as soon as you walk in. I love being able to try out things before I buy them. They carry a lot of high-end Brands (like Sephora) but also sell lower end brands as well (Target) so it's great to have both in one place. I'm a nail polish addict, so this place is my heaven! Essie, OPI, China Glaze, Zoya, Butter, Orly...they got it all! My only complaint is that I really wish they kept their displays stocked or did better with ordering. The last 4 times I've been there they have been out of Lincoln Park After Dark...which I started wearing in 2007...since it is such a popular shade and has been for years...I feel they shouldn't run out of it so often. No matter what day I go it always looks like their nail polish displays need to be restocked... But other than that...the store is great...lots of specials and coupons...Buy 2 for 1. I agree with a previous reviewer who remarked that this place was an embarrassment compared to other ULTA stores in the area. I've been here several times and it still surprises me how disorganized the place is. Many things are out-of-place, or have been opened and used, and testers look like they haven't been replaced in weeks. Finding things can be a chore since some brands are mixed together. It's also hard to ask for help since the employees seem to congregate and chat amongst themselves, as opposed to organizing the store or walking around ready to offer help. read more

Normally I love this ultra, I love their prices, I love their friendly makeup Artists and everything. I went in last week, the first makeup artist greeted me and was OH SO polite & adorable mind you, she helped me out with everything. I then got up to the register and when I asked the cashier a question she basically belittled me and had an attitude as if what I asked was stupid. I stopped my friend from questioning why she disrespected me, dropped my stuff on the counter and said never mind. With an attitude like she had, I refuse to buy from that store again. I was surprised how accommodating the staff was to take the appointment so quickly and how nice they were on the phone. When I arrived, Chassidy was welcoming and sweet and made me feel like I'd been a client for years. She talked to me about my "hair history" and my vision. So, I love Ulta and what I suggest is that you take time for yourself. about 3 hours at least...once a year and go to ULTA. Try out new things.. go in with a clean face. and test out products all day! The girls are super sweet..the products are fun and you will find great things and some things that have cute packaging but do not stack up against the competition. But that is okay because that is what you should be able to do. TEST out and not feel pressure to buy. That is why I love Ulta. NO pushy sales people, a nice environment, girls to help if you need it and the prices, well you can compare and budget for your beauty! I LOVE IT! The employees could be friendlier but there are a few who are pleasant. A lot of the makeup could use re-stocking and its a shame so many of the products are opened & sampled by customers but I won't blame Ulta for that. More drugstore brands should offer testers for their products to avoid it. Ulta's rewards program is better than Sephora's because you can use them towards any product you like and not just those pre-selected samples. However, Sephora is better about providing samples before buying as well as their wider selection of high-end brands. read more

She recommends budget friendly products that work! Also after one appointment I mentioned to her that I needed help matching foundation and she took a good 20 minutes helping me and told me that if I didn't love it I had to bring it back. I was in the store today on 9/8 and everything was fine. I was browsing looking for some particular items but nonetheless enjoying my visit. I went to the side where the Anastasia Beverly hills was and decided I would consider a few items. After thinking about it, I put the items down(not in the correct place) and proceeded to shop. After checking out, some woman( a manager I guess with glasses) decided to tell me that she has me on camera putting items in my purse. I' am a male by the way. She asked if she could look in my purse to retrieve the item. I told her I put the item down and did not have her merchandise. I then allowed this woman to look through my purse(which she did not find anything) and she then proceeds to tell me that I am no longer welcome in the store. Talk about embarrassing. I can not wait to call corporate on Monday and ask them why business is being ran like this at this location. The woman did not apologize and then tells me to " Have a great day". Well that was ruined after you accused me of being in the store stealing and you did not find anything in my bag that belonged to you. I started to return right then and there what I did pay for, but didn't want to give her the satisfaction and take away from the lip pencils that I really did want to try. All she kept saying was "what it looked like" I did on camera and this and that. Well clearly she couldn't see because if she could, she would have saw me put the items down in the store.
