Don't go here unless you want your hair to be ruined. After four hours and $300 I was not happy with the color the stylist gave me. I showed her pictures of what I wanted. I told her I didn't like it, color was too dark and striped, she told me to go home and wash it a couple of times and let her know if I still didn't like it then she would fix it. I did as she said, still didn't like it so called. Had to call twice just to get her on the phone then she says she can't fix it for two and a half weeks. She raises her voice at me and says she doesn't know what to do to fix it. She's been the only person coloring my hair for quite a while. I ask her then if she can't fix it can the manager fix it. The manager asks me to text her photos of my hair. I do, then the manager doesn't call me but texts me that my hair is too damaged for her to fix. Again her stylist is the only person that has touched it. They can't be bothered to fix it . She doesn't offer me a refund or anything. I spent almost $300 for damaged hair that I have to then pay someone else to fix. I call to speak to the manager but she is too busy to call me. I don't hear from her at all until I post a photo of my hair online. Then she sends me a ton of text messages berating me and saying I was rude to the stylist (no I wasn't) and to some random other manager which I only know of the one manager so obviously a lie and tells me I am forbidden to come back to the salon. I wouldn't go back there if you paid me. I can f up my own hair for way less than what they charge. I asked her to stop texting me. She texted me again. I was looking for a new Salon to go to and stay as a client. I had my appt... wash, cut, style. It wasn't anything above anywhere else I've been... except for the price. I understand 4-45.00$ however I was shocked it was $70.00... I left a nice tip as my Stylist was wonderful. Although when I got home I had to trim my bangs. I guess I wasn't paying attention in the shop. I had already put Shampoo on the Counter that I believe was another 60-65.00$... I just figured oh well just get it and consider it a lesson. I've been a long time client of NVS. I used to see Jenny Paul, but after she left, I was a head without a home. Holly cut my hair and did a phenomenal job. She took off 20 inches and took the time and care needed with such a big change. She listened to everything I wanted. Seriously, if you're looking for top notch, Holly is your girl. read more

I've been coming to NVS to see Jenn Riley for almost two years now. She is just perfect! I have a TON of THICK hair, and she deals with it with patience and skill! Jenn has given me everything from pink hair to red/blonde ombre, and it always looks spectacular. Plus, she's a fun gal :) The staff is great! Totally friendly and warm - and not at all fake. It's always a comfortable experience walking in. Recently I had a lash lift and tint by Ashley. HOLY COW! It looks great! I was nervous that it either wouldn't work or wouldn't last. I have VERY straight, coarse eyelashes, so I wasn't expecting much. But Ashley made it work! She's such a charming woman and she was so easy to talk to. It made lots of waiting much easier! I visited this Salon/Spa not too long ago. I scheduled a Reiki healing appointment with Darcy and she was wonderful. (She does Skincare and Massage Therapy as well.) It was my first time at the new location and I was quickly approached by a very attentive front desk associate. I immediately felt welcomed and relaxed. She offered to hang my coat and offered me a beverage as I sat and awaited my appointment. Darcy approached me and introduced herself and once again I was given a heartfelt welcome. It set the tone for a very pleasant session. The healing was very gentle and therapeutic and I felt extremely relaxed and blissful at the conclusion. I would definitely recommend this business to everyone. It was a very lovely experience. And Darcy was fantastic! read more

This place is a serious joke. I went to get a SUBTLE balayage and was left with a brassy,streaky mess. I gave them a chance to fix it and it looked no different. I called and asked to speak to the manager about the situation, I explained I was unhappy with my hair. She stated that because I had gone somewhere else (after they had already been given two chances) they would not be refunding my money..... YOU ARE JOKINGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG?! She even turned it around on me and stated I should have requested another stylist, like isn't that your job??? I gave them two opportunities to fix it and was the unhappiest I have ever been. If this place had been more accommodating and just accepted the fact that they could not give me the color I asked for and given me a refund (or at least store credit????) they would have saved themselves A LOT of bad reviews. read more

Three appointments and $685.00 later, I never achieved the look I was after. I showed pictures, gave specific directions that I had researched and I always ended up with something different. It always looked better than what I had, but was NEVER what I asked for, I just kept hearing "we'll get there". After talking to other stylists in the area and in other states, I really should have had the look I wanted by the second visit at the most!!! The stylist I had was nice enough, but if your not experienced in the style your clients are asking for, just admit it and refer them to someone or someplace else!!! read more

DO NOT GO HERE! One of the stylists screwed my hair up SO BAD! I went in for a full foil and a cut. It looked amazing at first... She did a wonderful job. But over the next couple of weeks, I noticed that the only hair on my brush was blonde. My boyfriend mentioned to me on Skype, what happened to your hair? You're a brunette again. My highlights broke off!!!!!! The dumb woman over processed my hair, and now I am half bald. I called the salon to fix it or to give my money back... They did NOTHING. They blamed it on stress without even looking at me, and wouldn't give me my money back. It was NOT stress, the only hair on my brush was BLONDE. Boycott this business, and do NOT trust them with your locks. read more

Don't go here. Receptionist is a snob. Not friendly. It's difficult to get into an appointment, and if you need to reschedule It's going to be a while before you get in. I've given NVS more than enough chances. My review is legit. Not everyone there can cut hair. (When my regular girl left, I was sent a coupon via email for 20 percent off everything in the next visit. The receptionist actually argued with me, in person, that I couldn't use it! She finally realized she was wrong. No apology! I was so mad.) My regular girl left and they scheduled Angel to color, highlight,lowlights and cut my hair. Several times, I was told that no one else was available. Angel did not reference what color was used in the past. She said she didn't have to. It was SO dark. She PRETENDED to cut my hair, here and there. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I insisted that someone else fix my hair, ASAP. I got scheduled with Sara. She did everything to fix it. Took a long time doing it. But it was much better. She has been doing my hair for the past 4 months, and I'm mostly satisfied. Recently I had to cancel and reschedule my appointment. Again, it would be two more weeks. The receptionist doesn't care. OMG. I'm done. I am looking elsewhere. read more

This place is AWESOME! I finally found a salon that has stylists that actually know how to cut and style hair. Emily is excellent and ALL of the employees are friendly and seem to love working there which speaks volumes. VERY reasonable prices which was surprising because the atmosphere reminds me of a spa. They use and sell AVEDA products and are very knowledgeable when it comes to how to use those products. read more

This salon was extremely disappointing. I went in with pictures of what I wanted done and asked them if it was possible, which they replied not right away but evetually yes which I understood. However, what i ended up with was sloppy, ugly, and nothing like anything close to what I wanted done. I then went back in to show them and express my concerns, when all they really did was tell me they did what they could and that next time, in 3-4 weeks, it will be closer to what I wanted. I asked for layers cut into my hair which I didnt get, I wanted balayage blonde hair, when I get black hair with highlights that were harshly put it and not blended at all, and some pieces werent even dyed all the way. It would be blonde for half the piece, a section of black, and then the rest blonde. Thankfully I was able to go to someone that knew what they were doing to fix nvs's awful, sloppy mistakes within the next week and didnt have to wait the 3-4 weeks nvs was about to make me wait. As of the writing of this review, 10 days after my experience with nvs, they have yet to offer resolution to refund the $225 dollars that I payed for their disappointing work. read more

I JUST WANTED MY EYEBROWS WAXED. I was in between classes and wanted to run in and get a quick eyebrow waxing. I googled to see what time they opened: 9:00AM. Perfect! So I called to make sure I could walk-in. The receptionist said, "well, we're not really open right now, so the earliest we could do is 10:15." (It was 9:10). I reluctantly said ok, seeing how it was an hour away but still needed the service done. I didn't want to drive home then back out so I just drove over and figured I'd play Solitaire on my phone for an hour. I pull up, and what do you know? The "OPEN" sign is illuminated. Hmm, strange, the receptionist told me they WEREN'T OPEN. So I said to myself, "self, walk in and see if they can take you early." The receptionist greeted me and said she'd probably be able to get me back as soon as Debbie (whoever that is) got in. So funny, I guess she should have worded on the phone, "our esthetician isn't in right now, but she will be in at XX:XXAM, can I make you an appointment then?" instead of lying to me and saying they weren't open. The receptionist then asked me if I was in a hurry. Umm, excuse me, no, I'm sorry it's 2016 and everyone seems it appropriate to be late to their appointments, but I'm always early in the slim chance they might be able to take me back early. I was taken back early, thankfully, and the girl who waxed me was very pleasant and accommodating when I asked if I could also get my lip waxed. When I went back out to reception to check out, the receptionist was on the phone. No big deal; I've worked in customer service for near 10 years and totally understand phones ring and sometimes you're the only one available to do 20 things at once while also answering the phones. I handed her my card to pay an extraordinarily high amount of money for a less-than-five-minute service. The receptionist ran my card and SLAPPED in onto the counter an inch from my outstretched hand. I will never step foot back in to NVS, no matter how dire my situation. I'd rather look like Frida Kahlo than pay $28 for a service I could get for $10 somewhere MUCH more pleasant. read more

Love this place. My stylist, Mandy, does a great job and is very detailed oriented. I always leave knowing my hair looks its best. The coloring looks natural and the cut is always spot on. They offer other services such as make up application and massage. Relax with a complimentary glass of wine or beer, and they always have something good to snack on. I just started going to their new location in Bel Air and it's a beautifully laid out and well designed salon with all the latest and greatest salon technology. read more

I am not one to normally write reviews, but this was very frustrating. My brother was getting married in October of 2017 and NVS came highly recommended to me. So I made an appointment with images of an updo and half up and half down. When I got there I asked if the length of my hair would be a problem, she answered no, so I did half up half down with curls. I was assured that with enough hairspray I would be fine..... my hair was not! Literally an hour after I spent $70 to get it done, it all fell out and my hair and braids looked matted to my head and flat. This all happened 4 hours before my little brothers wedding! I tried to curl it and fix what I could and managed to fix it slightly. This was unacceptable, and caused stress on my end...instead of helping my sister-in-law with little things before the wedding I had to rush around to fix my own hair.......I am not saying that there are not good and talented associates at NVS but because of this experience I will never come back. read more
