I booked Paisley's Valentine's Day non-veg menu, hoping for a special evening, but the experience fell short. We arrived 30 minutes early for our reservation but still ended up waiting an hour past our scheduled time to be seated. Service was also inconsistent--I ordered a second drink after the second dish, and it never arrived. By the fourth dish, I had given up on it and didn't bother reminding anyone. The food itself was good, and I imagine the experience might be better on a less hectic night. However, the long wait and inattentive service were a letdown, especially given the occasion. One nice touch was the complimentary rose from Venus et Fleur. Also, be aware that a 20% gratuity is automatically added to the bill. The space was nicely decorated with Valentine's Day themed things though I would have preferred Desi music playing instead.

Discovered a wonderful a new restaurant on this trip. Nice open space. Great looking bar. Friendly owners/hosts that make you feel welcome. Ordered the Pahadi Murgh and samosa chat for appetizers. Both were good especially the Murgh which came out perfectly tender. Dinner was a Nihari and tikka masala with a side of daal tadka. All dishes were done very well. Definitely a return trip here on the next visit to NYC.

I made a reservation for my husbands birthday two months in advance and they just called me the night before at 10 PM saying that the restaurant is closed and they cannot take my reservation. If you are trying to run a business this is not the way to operate. Not sure if I will come back to try your food lol unbelievable.

Delightful Indian cuisine. The staff was very helpful in making recommendations and answer questions. We started with appetizers Samosas, garlicky cauliflower, crispy eggplant. Followed by lamb chops, chicken tiki Marsala, Nihari - slow cooked beef. Can't forget the naan - Garlic naan. We were quite pleased and full but someone said we had to have dessert! We went with the crème brûlée and a chocolate mousse with coffee and tea. Those were the most common of all the things we ate. Not too impressive but good too. We all had a delightful evening! The atmosphere was light and airy thought the place was full. Definitely worth another visit!!

"A good choice for a nice dining experience" Came here for Diwali and had a nice meal. It's a bit of a mix of eclectic modern Indian food in a contemporary setting. Why has the lower West Side become a haven for upscale Indian restaurants? Pros * Upscale * Wide range of dishes for almost everyone's tastes * More mild for those who don't like super intense "street" food Indian Cons * A little pricey * Service was ok * The room feels a bit "cold" and could use some dressing up. And the bar has too many disco lights. They need a professional interior designer

Very solid Indian place! I would come here just for their chicken tikka masala, basmati rice, and onion chili naan mixed together in one heavenly bite. The chicken tikka masala was so creamy and rich and tangy. The basmati rice was a wonderful base and had a great texture. The onion chili naan was spicy and buttery. So chicken tikka masala on basmati rice wrapped in onion chili naan is a bite I often dream of. Their crispy eggplant chaat is good, love the various sauces and bursts of pomegranate seed. It could've had a stronger eggplant flavor however. All of the other dishes were forgettable or misses in flavor. But I'd come back just for that bite.

Paisley is a downtown Indian restaurant on Greenwich St that serves impressive delicately crafted food. We were a large reserved group and were seated right away. As you enter the restaurant, you see the paisley brand on the wall and to your left is the bar - the decor was done beautifully. Perfect for a date! Service: 10/10 Food: 9.5/10 We got lollipop chicken, samosas, fried cauliflower and fried eggplant for appetizers and for entrees we got chicken tikka masala, 2 lobster with spinach rice, short ribs, shrimp curry, and chicken. Everything was flavorful and enjoyable. My favorite was the cauliflower! The entrees (curries) come with basmati rice. The best part of the restaurant is the drinks and desserts!! Desserts are mostly $15 each. Since we were a large group of over 5, a 20% service fee was added to the bill. We paid about $830 for dinner. Bathrooms are unisex and clean! Thank you Paisley for serving us delicious and flavorful food!

Came to dinner here with two friends. I was looking forward to a wonderful dinner, and love trying new Indian restaurants. And while the food was good, the service was a bit off-putting: e.g., We were told we had to put all of our food in at once (no ordering additional food later). Then when it was time to pay, they wouldn't split our bill (3-ways). And throughout service, they were kind of abrupt toward our party. Not terribly helpful or kind. And not really very attentive either. That said, the food was good. We ordered samosa chat (excellent), dahi bhalla (good), paneer tikka masala (good), baingan choka (good, and something new to me!), and garlic naan.

Beef Nihari - wonderful but not quite like the real thing. Not slow cooked overnight. A different name would be more accurate. But delicious. Chicken Tikka Masala much better than how "typical" places serve it. Very attentive owners. Decent atmosphere. Nice mixture of desi and gora crowd.

Saag paneer - may have had some Parmesan sprinkles, chicken tikka masala, daal, veg kofta was amazing and sort of sweet and sour.
    Shilpa M.

Delicious. Everything tasted great, fresh, unique, and special. Nice, secret back room fits 25 people. Mother and daughter run the restaurant. Their cute golden retriever was at the front door. We all liked it and not much was left. Saag lamb, Saag paneer - may have had some Parmesan sprinkles, chicken tikka masala, daal makhani, naan, rice, veg kofta was amazing and sort of sweet and sour. Lemon Pickle.

After an hour of waiting for our food, the three tables around us who arrived after us already got their food and were nearly done with their meal. We ask about this twice, and each time the owner says all three tables "pre-ordered" their food. I was confused and asked every table if this was true and obviously it was not. Before leaving, we confront the owner about the inconsistencies in his story, but he just double downs on his lie, alleging that we don't understand how a restaurant is run. For some reason, he even started to yell at the busgirl who was trying to get him to apologize? In addition to holding us hostage for an hour and continued lying, he tries to make the racist point that Indian food is more sophisticated and takes longer to prepare than other types of Asian food. I feel there are certain standards in the NYC service industry given the competition, and this was a confusing and unacceptable experience. The food was admittedly good, but not good enough for them to have the attitude they had.

However, we never really got to it, having been busy exploring the Semmas and Bungalows of the city. On a cold Saturday evening my partner and I decided to give Indian Accent a shot - got rather last minute reservations over the phone. They were kind enough to accommodate us for a 7 pm slot, and once we got there we were seated immediately. We chose the four course menu, and found each course to be better than the one before! The shorba (soup) and garlic kulcha amuse bouche was a nice touch to get things started - loved the tiny terracotta mugs. Proceeded onto the shakarkandi chaat and the chilly pork roti - the former reminding me of the delectable street food in Delhi winters with the latter being a very good Indian rif on birria tacos. The star of the show for me was the Tofu medu vada - so unique and flavorful and melt in the mouth! I've not had anything quite like it before. My partner had the wagyu kebab that he said was excellent! For mains we had the chicken malai and the paneer - both tasty, but by this point we were already so full, and had to get most of the mains to go. But because there's always room for dessert, for our final course we scarfed down doda barfi with ice-cream and sticky toffee banana pudding - both of which were finger licking delish! Our service was great too - Ty our server was so nice and had the best recommendations. I'd have never gone for the tofu medu vada among all the other options and he urged me to, and it really turned out to be the highlight of my meal. The cocktails were good too. All in all, I think this is such a nice upscale Indian dining spot for a night out in the city. Having tried most of the other trending newer spots, i think Indian Accent sits right among the top! I believe there are other Indian Accent locations in India, and was excited to try their NYC spot. We went on a weekend evening around 5pm and had a really enjoyable experience overall. Nice ambiance inside, didn't feel overly packed where we were sitting. Service was great for the most part. Shane, our main server, stood out and he was SUPER helpful in walking us through the menu and making thoughtful suggestions. That said, it's definitely a team-service setup, so multiple staff members will assist your table throughout the meal. Everyone had great energy and made the experience feel polished. We did the prix fixe menu and went with 3 courses each across our group of 3. Two of us opted for the "midis" and one went for dessert, but we ended up sharing everything. Even though the portions initially seem small, we were surprisingly full by the end. One important note: go into this with an open mindset. This is not your typical, "generic" Indian food experience - it's much more modern, creative, and experimental. We did a lot of research before deciding what to order, so here's what we got/ordered: Amuse bouche (complimentary): A pumpkin shorba (soup) served in a cute little cup and blue cheese naan. Both were a great start, and we actually asked for more of the shorba. They said they'd bring it, but it never came, which was a bit disappointing, but still appreciated the palate cleanser concept. Appetizers (ordered 3): * Phulka jackfruit: Kind of like a taco - really nice flavor with these crispies on it and a nice sauce. * Kashmiri morel mushrooms: I'm not usually a mushroom person, but this was excellent. Loved the creamy base and overall flavor. * Potato sphere chaat: Probably the weakest of the three. It was more sev than potato, and didn't quite hit for me. Midis (ordered 2): * Yogurt kebab: Very interesting texture with a nice chutney base * Sweet pickle pork: I didn't personally try it, but the other two in my group loved it Mains (ordered 3): * Sweet corn vadai: Really unique and flavorful - one of the standouts * Paneer kofta: Not my favorite; different from what I expected * Chicken tikka meatballs: Surprisingly good! I don't usually love meatballs, but these had a great texture and flavor Accompaniments (ordered 3): * Butter chicken kulcha: Easily my favorite - would come back just for this, but note it can be a little "greasy" * Daal with black garlic naan: The naan was unique with a slightly sweet taste; the daal could've used a bit more depth * Chana masala kulcha: A little spicy but still very flavorful Dessert (ordered 1 + 1 complimentary): * Banana sticky date cake: A lovely, satisfying end to the meal * Makhan malai (complimentary for a birthday in our group): Very airy and unique texture - not really for us personally, but appreciate the team supporting our birthday celebration We skipped drinks even though the menu is extensive - we wanted to focus on the food Overall, I really liked this place. The dishes were a mix - nothing was outright bad (except maybe the makhan malai for our taste), but not everything was a hit either. Still, it's a fun, elevated dining experience with creative takes on Indian cuisine. I'd definitely go back, especially for the butter chicken kulcha. Only real miss was the forgotten re-order of the amuse bouche, but otherwise service and vibes were strong.

However, the oxtail and prawns were a little low in quantity, and also didn't have flavors that were as distinct. And that's the main reason I wouldn't return as often; given the price and the michelin star, I would've expected some more variety in flavor from the dishes, but didn't find that as much here. I would still recommend this place, as the food and drinks are good, as is the service, but at the price and diffocilty of getting a spot to eat, I may more consistently check out the other great Indian options in the city.
