Love, love this cute little cafe with PARKING in front and the yummiest scones and açaí bowls! Firstly, a parking lot in Kapahulu that's not the Safeway parking lot and running across the street to wherever which I really do appreciate. Secondly, the NICEST people working there (maybe owners, I forgot to ask). And the açaí bowls with the crunchiest granola and the savory scones which are delicious even days later. What a treat! I heard the coffee is great too but I'm always too stuffed to get more things. Love this place so much. read more

Amazing service, was able to try the syrups before ordering and the barista was intentional with her drinks and made sure I was satisfied before leaving the door. Decided to stop in after an appointment down this side of the island and it didn't disappoint. Service was quick, I was helped right away. There is quite a few tables to sit so after I ordered I went to the side to wait for my drink. Although again. It didn't take that long. I ordered a honey rose matcha latte. I liked it. It is quite subtle but still good. I want to go back to try other drinks. They also had some baked goodies but I decided maybe next time with the hubs. The area is quite new and has some neighbors, some food eateries. And the parking lot is decent sized. Inside was not loud, pretty quite. Since we're in the same bldg of honu sushi and kalbi I saw this coffee shop 2 doors away from honu sushi I stopped in for their pastries. I'm a lover for sweets. Saw the blueberry scones and the chocolate chip cookies so I bought some. They did have other kind as well. Earl Grey scones, cheddar cheese scones, Portuguese sausage scones and the blueberry ones. Banana bread too. All looks good. Did look at the coffee menu but said next time. Came home and tried the cookies. It was crispy chewy and big chunks of chocolate chips with sprinkle of sea salt on the top I'll try the scones tonight and see what's what's. Stay tune. I enjoyed my guava smoothie. There were no lumps and the consistency was truly smooth, I finished the smoothie in 5 mins lol. Not too sweet either which I enjoyed. The cafe is a cute and cozy, not a ton of space but it's very clean. read more

Great little shop with five ish tables and plenty of parking. It's right next to ono seafood. Their velvet sweet cream cold brew was pretty dang good. Coffee had a bit of acidity and brightness to it. The sweet cream really mellowed it out and has a bit of heaviness to it. The Hawaiian latte was pretty good too. Mac nut and something syrups added to it? The owners are super nice and friendly and helpful. The guy doesn't really believe that kona coffee is worth the hype. I think they know what they're doing and they gave me some good recommendations of other places around the area. I talked to him for like. A good thirty minutes. Wished I had more time in Hawaii. It feels amazing to be welcomed by the owner, who remembers my name every time I walk in! I was introduced to their lavender latte, and since becoming a regular, I've come to understand true deliciousness. The açai bowl is fantastic, and the pastries are always fresh. Parking is usually easy to find, and there's nearly always a cozy spot waiting for me. If it's full, a short wait ends with the owner inviting me in when a seat opens. I love this cafe! I been here 3x now, and the staff has always been nice, definitely the best service I received from a coffee shop. The drinks are very consistent, good place for catching up with a friend and studying. They offer free wifi and charging outlets as well. Prices are very reasonable for the quality drinks. I ordered the Hawaiian latte iced and the earl grey scone. Both items packed flavor that did not miss! The cafe seems very comfortable and in the spirit, I'm sad I didn't have the time to enjoy my treats there. That just means I'll need to find my way back! I was visiting from LA and a friend of mine who lived there for years had recommended me this place. She had gone everyday so it was a non negotiable for me and I have no regrets. I got the scone warmed up and it practically melted in my mouth! I'm sure they baked it with love. The latte was the perfect balance between Mac nut and coconut! What a cute little cafe to stumble upon! Came here for a drink to pair with my Ono Poke that i grabbed right before. If you're looking for a quick pick me up in Kapahulu, check out Pai Cafe, which recently opened in a newish building on Kapahulu Avenue. Their acai bowl has a creamy texture and is topped with refreshing ingredients - house made gluten free granola (it was crunchy!), bananas, strawberries, blueberries, drizzled with organic honey. Peanut butter is available upon request. I've read a lot of positive comments about their scones, so of course I had to try one. I intended to just take a few bites, but ended up eating the whole thing. Next time I'll have to try their coffee since everyone has been raving about that too! read more

We waited in every single line and tried all of the hyped up coffee spots in/around Waikiki. It was lowkey a disappointment every single time- so we drove up here to get our proper coffee fix. The coffee is strong enough yet the flavor was neither watered down nor high in sugar. I'm no coffee connoisseur but I am an avid coffee drinker so I know what I like, and loved every drink I ordered here. Located in the new building along Kapahulu ave right next to Ono Seafood, Pai Cafe offers a variety of drinks, baked goods, smoothies, and bowls that are perfect to stop by for after a day at the beach. Their acai bowl was really good with tons of bananas and strawberries (they were out of blueberries) + granola. I personally like acai when it's not too sorbet-like so this was the perfect soft texture for a bowl. The space offers a nice place to study with a cute interior, free parking in the front, outlets, and a bathroom (not quite sure if there's Wi-Fi though). The owners are super friendly and sweet too :') Hoping to try their drinks and their baked goodies next time! But highly recommend for a quick stop or for coffee with friends :) read more

I had an iced velvet coffee and one of their scone. I wasn't sure how to drink the coffee but I realized that it's good if you mix well. Scone was delicious. There are maybe 4 or 5 tables inside and 2 tables outside if I'm correct. I haven't tried açaí bowl but there are many tourists getting açaí bowl at this place. Yes I see many tourists. Great little spot! The folx here are super chill and polite and make a mean as chai tea. Also the scones are quite delicious and just the right size too. I don't feel like I'm over eating hahaha Wifi and parking is pretty good except when it gets real busy but no worries heaps of street parking in the neighborhood behind the shop. Came here cause of Cafe Maddy:) This is a must try on the island!! The honey lavender matcha latte has such strong floral notes that don't overwhelm the matcha at all. It hit so hard after poke and a brisk walk in the sun. I went back a few days later and got the rose honey matcha instead but still prefer how lovely the lavender complements the drink. The açaí was pretty good too but I'd come here for the MATCHA. Also very sweet barista who always works the register and asks how my day's going with a big smile :) read more

Very rare to find a great coffee shop on this side of the island that offers QUALITY and parking!! Win win!! We got the rose match and just a iced matcha with water and they were both top notch. The service was great, they hand delivered the drinks to us and they offer home baked goods which just smells absolutely delightful. A huge perk for me is they have a private parking lot with FREE parking and quite a bit of spots with no time limit. We utilized this and got some work done on our laptops for a few hours. Most definitely will be back for the quality and service we received alone. It'll be a weekly visit for me for sure! read more

When you take one coffee enthusiast with over a decade of experience as a barista, add in a state-of-the-art coffee machine, position the shop in a very convenient location with lots of parking, and make your own pastries for the patronsto enjoy, what is the outcome? The best coffee shop on the island! That's Pai Cafe. There are lots of places to get coffee on Oahu. There's not a lot of places where you can get excellent coffee, along with excellent service and homemade pastries. When you have a coffee from Pai Cafe, it will set a new standard for you. You'll see. It may sound like I'm gushing, and I guess I kind of am. I've known Micah for a number of years and followed him each time he has changed to a different coffee shop. His coffee is always excellent. His super positive demeanor and personality are contagious, making for a terrific way to start the day! Nespresso destroyed my hopes of ever having a better cup of coffee. It really is that good. However, the coffee that Micah makes and presents, takes coffee to a new level. What you may not know is that this is a family operation. Micah's wife makes all the pastries and scones! You owe it to yourself to try this place when you are in the Kapahulu area. And if you are anywhere close, it's worth the drive! Pai Cafe is located right next to Ono Seafood, and across the street from the UPS store on kapahulu. There's plenty of parking, which is a rare commodity in the Kapahulu area. TLDR; stop what you're doing right now and go get one of the best cups of coffee you will ever have! read more

Came back to visit here during my annual Hawaii vacation! I'm so happy I came back! I remember I came here a year ago and the owners told me they were newer, and I'm so happy that it's still standing strong and busy! There were so many people in here studying & working. Horrible service. I WAS a regular customer because of the matcha drink Not anymore. Went recently and manager was very rude. The only good thing on that menu is the iced matcha everything else I have tried is not good. Also found hair in my banana bread one time but never said anything because I THOUGHT it deserved another chance. Honestly not forth your time or money if one drink on the menu is the only thing that's good. Find anywhere else because I promise you it'll be a lot better than this place. read more

Perfect little cafe on Kapahulu. We tried the London fog, lavender latte and velvet cream cold brew. Each of them were great! The blueberry scone was soo good. We were able enjoy one from a newly baked batch. Wonderful couple running the store. Such a pleasant experience. Wish we discovered this place earlier in our trip! Probably my go-to coffee spot during my stay in Oahu. There's a parking lot so it made it easy to pick up coffee before planned activities for the day. Service is quick and easy, usually little to no wait. Not exactly Kona coffee but the coffee is amazing nevertheless. I got to try two of their specialty drinks, the Hawaiian Latte and Lavender latte with honey, and both were delicious! I also highly recommend trying their banana bread, that was yummy. read more

Let me start by saying I visited this place two years ago and made it my mission to come back. Since my group of nine decided to book a trip to Hawaii, this was the first thing I added to the itinerary. And again, it did not disappoint. The service is top tier. The busser saw our large group come in and asked if we wanted to sit at a table we were eyeing, then cleaned it off for us and added extra seating so all of us could fit. The cashier was also very nice, and once your order is ready, the workers explain the toppings bar so you can dress your açaí bowl however you want (coconut flakes, granola, honey, chia seeds, etc.). I got the regular açaí bowl, and again, it is the best açaí bowl I have ever had. The açaí is thick and very rich, and you can tell the blend is real açaí and the berries on top are fresh. The topping bar is a great touch because you can customize it to your liking. It is sweet but not overly sweet or artificial tasting. It also takes a long time to melt, so you can take your time eating it. We also got a couple waffles on the side, and those were good too.

They have a water dispenser there along with cups. Nice mixture of the Queens bowl with the crunchiness of cacao nibs, along side with the dollop of peanut butter, coconut flakes, honey drizzle, soft bananas, and tart acai. Would come back for the same bowl!

Over the years I've noticed the staff has become so much nicer and welcoming which is what I think of when I think of the Aloha spirit. Today I encountered a simple smile from the barista when I asked for extra half and half. She was very kind and sweet and sometimes that's all it takes. Keep in mind they are extremely busy with a line outside so to still offer good customer service in the middle of all that is gold. I always put my order in through the toast app and pick up to go. By the time my drink is ready my açaí bowl is melted. Today I decided to bring it up to the staff and encountered my lovely Lucille. She took my açaí bowl and put it in her freezer and gave me direction to put a note on my order to not prep the açaí bowl till I get there. That was very helpful! I'm happy not to have açaí soup anymore! Haha! But the best thing about it, she did it with a smile and it was genuine. You know when you just feel someone has a good soul..yeah, I felt that. Her demeanor was no different than how a family member would treat you. When she handed my açaí bowl back, she placed a napkin underneath it so the warmth of my hand wouldn't melt the bowl further...and the cherry on top was that I literally had the absolute BEST açaí bowl I've ever had made by Lucille. No joke! Sometimes there is too much granola, or too little fruit, but she made it with the perfect balance with each ingredient. She spoiled me and now I always want my açaí bowls to be made by Lucille! Lmao. Hubby and I ordered the exact same thing --a Blue Hawaiian (rum and pineapple? Yes, please!) and the Big Island Beef Loco Moco. I like my eggs over hard, and they happily did that for me.
