This is a fantastic, family friendly restaurant. Parking can be a bit difficult on beautiful days when people want to go to the beach and there is no private parking lot. The line to order can also be long on beautiful days. When you enter, you will see their specials on a chalkboard menu. Continue along and you will see the register to order ahead of you, drink station to your left and bathrooms to the right. You get a buzzer after placing your order and can go find a table. Outside is gorgeous with play areas for the kids. I appreciate the adult only section and the tables in the shade. The pickup window faces outside so you don't have to go back inside with the crowd ordering. The food itself is really good! I love the tacos and burgers. I will say their smash burger special didn't have smashed patties (they were pretty thick IMO). My kids enjoy the chicken nuggets. The adult beverages are good and a decent price. There's tons of out doors seating and it's kid friendly. There's food itself was awesome, portion size is decent. Prices are what they are, may be a tad on the higher side but not unreasonable. Decent beer selection along with other mixed drinks of your choosing. It's a short order joint however the staff is willing to assist anyway possible. First of all, the ambience is beach casual. Limited indoor but lots of outdoor seating. Pic attached. My friends ordered the salmon and mahi nahi burgers and they split the fries which are always fresh and tasty. My friends split the burgers in half so they could have sone of each. All I heard while they were eating was, YUM!' They were succulent and ample in size. My one friend is a foodie and bragged to her Swiss friend how wonderful all their food is. I was so hungry, I tore into one of my favorites, the Hickory Burger, before I could take a pic. But it was delicious with bacon, cheddar cheese and bbq sauce on lettuce and a brioche bun. This is the absolute spot to try! This is a great location with beautiful views and amazing food! I will definitely be coming back to try more items from their delicious menu. Went to Padaro Beach Grill with my family for Mother's Day weekend and man, this place was such a vibe. We got there right around sunset and it was absolutely beautiful. The first thing I noticed was how big the spot is, especially for kids. Tons of space to run around and play. The line was pretty long out the door, but honestly, it was worth it. Now the food... straight up the star of the night. I ordered the Padaro Burger without avocado, made it a double, and got a side of fries. Bro, it was delicious. The meat was juicy, perfectly cooked, and that onion ring in the middle gave it the crunch it needed. Add some bacon on top? Come on. Can't go wrong at all. One of those burgers you finish and immediately consider ordering another. My wife got a burger too, but on a whole wheat bun with a side salad. She said the flavor was solid, but the bun came out super hard after being toasted, so she ended up just taking it off. Still enjoyed it though. My dad got the same burger I did and we both crushed it in no time and this thing is a big burger. Not just some little fast food joint size. My mom got the turkey burger like my wife and had it with some sweet potato fries, and she really enjoyed hers too. Overall, this place is a win. Adorable place with friendly staff. I enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. The food was just okay. I ordered the shrimp tacos based on the promise of homemade/handmade tortillas listed on the menu on the website but was sad to see that they were flavorless store-bought tortillas. They didn't even warm them or toast them. So I ate the shrimp out of the tacos and a few of the chips, which means I paid $14 for 6 shrimp and a few chips. I then asked the staff about the homemade tortillas and they confirmed that they are not homemade and were surprised that the website listed that. They offered no restitution. My husband got the fish and chips which was okay. Slightly over-fried and not much flavor. The tri-tip fries were good. The tri-tip was very thinly sliced and then chopped but had good flavor. My son had the shrimp salad. It was okay, not great. My little one had the quesadilla with fries and he gobbled it up. Overall, I'd come again but wouldn't eat. Padaro Beach Grill is the perfect place to spend a warm and sunny day at! After spending some time at the bluffs we decided to try this place I had bookmarked a while back. Their menu consisted mostly of burgers, salads and some seafood. I ordered their fish tacos, although they were good I would have liked to have the tortillas be warmed up. On the other hand my husband ordered their shrimp and fries and that was very tasty! The shrimp were large, perfectly battered and crispy! Their kids meals included gummy candy's which my kids loved. In addition to the food I ordered a margarita, it was perfect. With the margarita at hand and the tropical vibes I felt like I was in Hawaii. The service was good. I grew up coming here as a kid. Coming here to celebrate my sister's birthday the other Sunday was very nostalgic and fun. The staff is excellent and the food was amazing. Another great lunch experience at Padaro Beach Grill. We actually saw a pod of dolphins passing by while we were enjoying our nachos and beach club! It's nice that they offer an adults only section just to get a little space from the abundance of children running around and playing in the sand. Prices are reasonable and there's lots of shade (which is a necessity for me when outdoor dining). Nothing fancy, just walk up and order and pick up your food/drinks when the buzzer goes off. 3.5 stars We came on a relaxing Wednesday afternoon and found parking on a somewhat narrow street out front. This restaurant isn't beach accessible but they've done a wonderful job at creating an "island" feel with all the beautiful palms. I ordered the shrimp tacos and my husband ordered the Catch of the day sandwich and opted for chilli cheese fries. My shrimp tacos weren't as flavorful as it looked and the chips were good with a hint of lime. My meal was decent. My husband enjoyed his fish sandwich and was happy with his choice. We shared the chili fries and it was good but we should have asked for crispier/well done fries because it got soft rather quickly. The atmosphere was great and we were happy with our little side stop off the 101. It's a nice place to stop especially when it's not as busy. Small playground for the kiddos and family too. We needed a break from the hustle and bustle and that was achieved. I probably should have ordered something different. I can't review on the drinks or shakes. This probably won't be a destination when we drive through but I'm happy we dined here. Side Note: I didn't see a sign that dogs aren't allowed. Only came across a pic as I was logging on to write my review on Yelp. I kept my ole' 17yr yorkie inside his stroller the entire time though and all he did was stare at birds and sleep. What a great venue! The outside area and the firepit were a few of the best qualities of this place. I went here after work to enjoy the sunset and it didn't disappoint! The only thing I would say that it does sit right next a train track but it's not like the trains are there constantly. I ordered two beers and some chili cheese fries. I think the fries were great! I've been coming here with my family for several years now and have made some great memories here with amazing food, time well spent with loved ones and an amazing scenic view of the ocean. The view here alone is worth grabbing a drink and enjoying at the very least, but if you decide to check their menu out, the Padaro Burger is one hell of a cheeseburger. With creamy avocado cushioned between the bun and the onion ring, this makes for a sensational explosion of flavor in your mouth and it's not too greasy to handle! The burger is perfectly crafted and the sunsets here and outside seating area make it fun for the whole family. FYI: Sometimes there is a separate line for the bathroom to the right of the food line along the wall (people seem to get mad at you for not knowing there's a line) which is indistinguishable from the food line. While there is no ocean view, the outside sitting area is spacious, well decorated, and relaxing. There is a huge sand pit with toys for kids to play with. It is a children's paradise. We came here for lunch on our last day in Santa Barbara before heading up to the Alpaca farm. This place has insane views of the ocean and coast. You go inside to order your food, when it's ready, you can pick it up from the window, then go to sit at the picnic tables nearby and eat while you hear the waves crashing, really nice way to eat a burger. We arrived and they were out of fish. So we couldn't not order fish & chips. The person taking our order didn't offer any suggestions and when I asked if their meat was fresh or frozen - he didn't know. It was disappointing to say the least. We ordered some other items and nothing was great. Food- Shrimp tacos were drenched and just ok. Mostly filler with a little shrimp. The calamari was ok, Clam & chips were fried to death so very lackluster. The fries were flavorless and overcooked. Other than the shrimp tacos it seemed like it was all dumped into the fryer and overcooked. Note- The bathroom needed a wipe down as well. Ambiance- The place is cute and has a good location and potential. Staff- The staff need to be trained to answer questions and not just whisper amongst themselves. I never saw a staff person walking around checking on customers or tables. Our previous visit here was positive which is why we came back. Unfortunately, this time was not great. read more

I am on the fence about writing this review because the manager(Javier) was really helpful and there is plausible deniability, but my wife left her wallet in the bathroom and it was ultimately handed in, but when she received it, it was missing all of the money (a little less than $200) Now is it possible that the person who handed it in pocketed that money? Absolutely it is. Or that someone took it from the wallet and then an honest person handed it in, but it's kinda hard to imagine that someone who had the wallet alone in the bathroom wouldn't just take the opportunity to take the whole wallet and the other contents of it as well. However, having worked in the restaurant industry, I know an equal possibility is that one of the employees knowing the areas that do and do not have cameras pocketed of the money before it made it to their safe. To the manager's credit, he did look through the cameras, but again cameras are limited, and an unscrupulous employee would be more than aware of where they could, and couldn't pocket the cash to avoid being seen. Overall, my recommendation (firstly for my wife, but also for others) is to not leave your valuables in the bathroom here. read more
