Ehh...I don't doubt the cozy, vintage feel of the spot, but the food is certainly lacking. Me and my friend decided to try The Spot for a lunch date on the weekend. We came around 11:30, it was a little busy, but nothing too bad! We ordered, and then sat down at one of the patio tables. There is only outside seating, and they do not accept card, only cash. Our food came about 15 minutes after ordering. A little long for the type of environment we were in, but it's okay. I ordered a cheeseburger and a root beer float. The burger was juicy and loaded with delicious ingredients, but a LOT of sauce! It was a bit soggy on the bottom. My friend got a chocolate chip shake, and all the chocolate chunks were on the bottom. The location of this restaurant and the root beer float are the saving graces. You can't really go wrong with eating by the beach, but I will certainly suggest going to an alternative when it comes to the overall quality of your food.

Super yummy burgers and tasty onion rings! People working couldn't care less if we were there but their food is worth it. Outdoor seating which means dog friendly!!

This place used to be one of my favorite spots to visit on a drive up the coast, and it still is as delicious as it used to be! We had just landed in Santa Barbara for a little midweek vacation and were heading down the coast with beer and burgers on our mind. We pulled into the little town of Carpinteria and, after a beer at Island Brewing, walked over to The Spot for dinner. About ten minutes after ordering, we grabbed our white paper bag and walked to the beach to inhale our burgers. They're so simple, but so well done - cooked through without being dry, crisp lettuce, bright red tomatoes, zippy onions, a healthy dose of cheese and a generous dollop of their special sauce. The ambience of the ocean was nothing to sneeze at, either. If we hadn't had the beers beforehand, I would've opted to get the rest of my usual order - the Chocolate Chip Shake! Already looking forward to my next trip back to hit this precious little dive and enjoy another burger on the shore!

If I'm going to splurge on caloric decadence, I'm glad places like The Spot have survived Covid and can still provide. Fish and chips and a thick milkshake made the blustery drive back to LA a joy.

Adorable little beach town burger shack. Perfect lunch for a beach day. Old school feel. Nothing special in terms of food, but satisfies the craving for a burger and fries. Reasonable prices, but cash only. Cute and casual as can be.

The cheeseburger, red onions tomatos and lettuce, all very fresh and priced 8.99 for a double, the vanilla malt shake was worth the calories

Best burger spot in Carp. Staff has an attitude and cash only so it's inconvenient for normies. I love that.

Do they take credit or debit cards?

No credit cards or debit cards. Cash only and an ATM machine is at this location as well, so it helps

Do you guys have any vegan options? I used to go there on vacation before I became a vegan and I miss it and was just wondering if you had any boca patties or anything

They have a garden burger just ask for no mayo and you'll be good

Excellent brewery spot with great beer & relaxed service!…read more Located against the railroad track on the back side of the building, it's a bit difficult to find, but just drive all the way in to the large alley, I guess Maple Ave. Nice wide open set up, perfect for a cold beer on a warm day. Wife went for the Crimson Horizon, and she enjoued it. I got a sip and it was smoother butterier than the Firestone cali squeeze? I tried the Avocado Honey Ale since can't go wrong with description of amber honey ale! Was told it was a version of their kolsch with local honey. Wow, it was smooth with a bit of sweet finish, so addictive!!! Still had hours to drive so couldn't just have as many as I wanted, but I checked online and seemed Albertsons sold it so figured I can just pick them up back at home. But the gentleman resting at the bar told me he delivers their beer but only up to the hills. I guess maybe available in stores up to Camarillo, but not over that hill/mountain. I had to have more of it, and they had 6 packs in the cooler for purchase so went for a pack. The green cans are such delightful vessels to hold the even more delightful liquid inside. Wife even cut out the top and using the cute cans as planters, lol! The cans poured out at home was excellent as well, very fresh and refreshing and could get tiny hints of avocado on sips. Just a great beer! After browsing the brewery, it seems avocado honey ale is their signature beer, so I got lucky to choose that from the menu, lol. While enjoying the beer, the amtrak train blew it's horn to leave from the Carpinteria station, so we rushed out to wave and enjoy seeing that go by right in front as well. I am sure the locals were shaking their heads at our excitement of seeing the train go by, one gentleman when leaving even complimented my kid's dance moves from when we were out there to greet and send off the train, lol! Awesome local spot and great folks, just a very relaxing spot to enjoy the delicious avo honey ale! Just hidden so maybe not many visitors to Carpinteria find it, but I picked it out from search for brewery and chose this over the other one on the main streets. What a find for an out of towner! Hope they can expand out or grow their delivery area, maybe get it sent to total wine which must have a distribution center. Otherwise, this is a must stop for any SB trips for sure!

That's exactly the type of person who should work in the service industry, and the type of person that makes you want to come back as soon as possible. There is a little notepad outside the door where you can write down your name while you wait for a table to be ready, and benches conveniently right outside for while you wait. This place was buzzing on a Sunday afternoon. We waited maybe 15 minutes before we were seated out on the patio, which was shaded and nicely kept. We all were happy with our food. I got the green chile scramble with toast and hashbrowns, and I feel like that's a pretty simple brunch, but I was in heaven. Great food. My only complaints were that my iced tea just tasted like water, and there were no toilet liners in the restroom. Neither of those things would make me want to stay away, but I just feel are important to point out. I still loved this place. All in all, The Wormer Bee Cafe delivers exceptional customer service and food alike, and I would recommend anyone to try it out while in Carpinteria.
