    Delicious trout!!!

The locals love The Nugget - generous portions of fabulous food in a cozy ambiance and friendly service . It's become my regular place to go. The crunch burger and the trout are my favorites, but that might change; there is nice variety of choices. I highly recommend The Nugget, but please don't let the tourists know.

When ever we are up north or even make a trip the Bloody Caesar is to die for!! They infuse their vodka which makes it very special. You have to try one. The place is decorated so cute as well not to mention everyone is so nice here

I came in with a friend on a typical Friday night--it was super busy, but we managed to snag two bar seats as people were leaving. The staff was amazing! Everyone was working seamlessly together, drinks were flowing, and people were leaving happy and full. Plus, I got to see all of my favorite people at once. Such a great time!

We had a great meal here! We ordered the turkey bacon club with fries, the center cut sirloin (with mashed potatoes and a side salad), and a couple of kids' meals; a cheeseburger with fries and the fettuccine Alfredo. The kids loved their food, and we enjoyed ours just as much. The fries were crispy and cooked perfectly. The steak was cooked exactly how I requested (medium rare) and was so flavorful it didn't even need A1. The mashed potatoes were creamy and delicious, and the salad was fresh with yummy ranch dressing. The ambiance was casual and welcoming. They have a full bar, and we really enjoyed the music which was a fun variety with something for everyone. Our server was fantastic: friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. We'll definitely be back when we come back into the area.

Welcome to a small town bar and grill somewhere in Wyoming or Montana with pelts, rifles and trophy heads on the walls and antler chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. This charming slice of old west Americana is truly a gold nugget in Carpinteria! Went on taco Tuesday, got fish taco and tri-tip taco. Both were great! Partner got babyback ribs and they were perfect! Fall off the bone tender but still juicy and delicious; no overcooked chalky mess here, only the best ribs we've had in years. Garlic mashed potatoes were so good I regretted not asking for a double helping. A note on the coleslaw: if you're into creamy coleslaw, this is creamy coleslaw. I prefer far less creamy but I'm sure it's great if you like it creamy. Now this is a full bar too and the drinks are just as fantastic as the ribs. The margarita had too much salt for my taste, it got mixed in with the drink and it became briny. The one ordered without salt tasted a lot better. The service was great, we felt very well taken care of even as the room completely filled up. This is now 100% our go to place when we're in the area.

    First at the bar!

Great spot right in downtown Carpinteria! On and off street parking. Large menu with lots of options. Get the wings! Strong drinks at a really reasonable priced and the service was outstanding. Will be back.

We waited about 15 minutes until one of the servers came to take our drink order and then we sat for a half hour before anyone came to take our food order. And the only reason the guy came over was because I kind of gave some eye contact. He was very nice and apologized for the wait. And I sure wish he would've written down our order because it came out totally wrong. We ordered an extra patty on the side, it was missing. They gave me ranch dressing for my salad and I ordered balsamic. They forgot our sweet potato fries so we mentioned it to the runner who served us and they didn't come out until our food was almost all eaten and they still charged us for it! Crappy customer service! Then we waited way too long for the check and I had to go find someone to ask for it. This was the longest stop for a burger ever! Seriously you guys need to pull it together! We've dined here twice before and never experienced issues like this. We came from Ventura as we prefer it over the one near us so this was not worth the drive. It just seemed like a flaky night of unorganized everything! Probably won't bother making the trip again.

Wife went for the Crimson Horizon, and she enjoued it. I got a sip and it was smoother butterier than the Firestone cali squeeze? I tried the Avocado Honey Ale since can't go wrong with description of amber honey ale! Was told it was a version of their kolsch with local honey. Wow, it was smooth with a bit of sweet finish, so addictive!!! Still had hours to drive so couldn't just have as many as I wanted, but I checked online and seemed Albertsons sold it so figured I can just pick them up back at home. But the gentleman resting at the bar told me he delivers their beer but only up to the hills. I guess maybe available in stores up to Camarillo, but not over that hill/mountain. I had to have more of it, and they had 6 packs in the cooler for purchase so went for a pack. The green cans are such delightful vessels to hold the even more delightful liquid inside. Wife even cut out the top and using the cute cans as planters, lol! The cans poured out at home was excellent as well, very fresh and refreshing and could get tiny hints of avocado on sips. Just a great beer! After browsing the brewery, it seems avocado honey ale is their signature beer, so I got lucky to choose that from the menu, lol. While enjoying the beer, the amtrak train blew it's horn to leave from the Carpinteria station, so we rushed out to wave and enjoy seeing that go by right in front as well. I am sure the locals were shaking their heads at our excitement of seeing the train go by, one gentleman when leaving even complimented my kid's dance moves from when we were out there to greet and send off the train, lol! Awesome local spot and great folks, just a very relaxing spot to enjoy the delicious avo honey ale! Just hidden so maybe not many visitors to Carpinteria find it, but I picked it out from search for brewery and chose this over the other one on the main streets. What a find for an out of towner! Hope they can expand out or grow their delivery area, maybe get it sent to total wine which must have a distribution center. Otherwise, this is a must stop for any SB trips for sure!

We ordered the risotto with added chicken, along with mussels and a few other dishes. The risotto was creamy without feeling too heavy, and adding chicken made it much more satisfying. The only slight disappointment was the mussels.
