The interior is modern, intimate and stylish, featuring a nice bar with a curated selection of local beers and wines. Dong Burger is perfect for a post-beach meal. The food is a total homage to the classic California smash burger. While the burger was delicious and the ingredients tasted high-quality, The $13 price tag is the "beach tax" in action. The fries and red trays will feel very familiar to all In-N-Out fans out there, though it will hit your wallet a bit harder here. Service is still in the "soft opening" phase but very pleasant. I did check it out and that burger sure is a dang delicious burger. When you walk into the building, Dang 's ordering counter is to the left. Staff are super helpful. Awesome attitudes. Sunburst Wine Bar is to the right. The outdoor patio is for all customers to use. All the burger patties are 3 oz patties of grass feed beef with the cattle carrot feed. That's what the menu stated. I don't know if feeding the cattle carrots makes the meat taste sweeter and more tender. But I do know the burger was delicious. The burger cost $9, not a normal price I would like to pay for a minimalist burger with a 3oz patty. The menu options are not large. They have a few burger choices $9-$14, a black bean burger (vegan) $14, uncured hot dog $6, salad $10, boiled peanuts $3, chocolate chip cookies $2, and fries $4-$6 that comes in two sizes and two cooking methods. Both method involves hand pressed fries. Then one involves deep frying twice in tallow; and the other is a vegan version. I had the non vegan version. Mmm. Dang burger was so good! I'm a huge smash burger fan and this met all expectations for a solid smash burger! The meat was juicy, the bun was soft, and I loved the sauce. The burger was very flavorful. I also had their shoe string fries. Small fries that reminded me of in n out, but were tasty. We ordered our food and it came out quickly. It was made fresh and hot. Insane. One of the best burgers I've had in a long time. Surprisingly great despite coming in 20 minutes before closing. French fries were cut small - as in short, which wasn't my favorite and single handedly the only gripe I have. They are fried in beef tallow and have a very delicious taste. I've been here a few times now. The first time the burger actually made me say dang out loud, it was well seasoned, the sauce was yummy and I was pleased to find they have an actually edible soft gluten free bun that's not excessively thick. The last 2 times ive gone, the burger was good but I feel like the seasoning of the meat is inconsistent. Could just be a preference but I felt they needed some salt. The fries are not my favorite. They taste good and I like their slender stature, but they are consistently short tidbits that feel like left over pieces rather than a basket of fries. There's usually just a few fully formed fries included in an order. Which also just makes for a frustrating fry eating experience. Service is always friendly and wait time is usually pretty reasonable. Parking is also not usually a big deal but maybe Ive just gone at the right times. read more

I love a good burger so much! So obviously Dang Burger is one of my go to spots. What IS surprising for this carnivore is that 9 out of 10 times, I get the Veggie burger. I just love the bean patty with the crispy cornmeal crust! Just delicious and very hard to find. Lately I have been getting the Hot Dang with the veggie patty and I am in heaven! Shoutout to Jara S. for bringing this spot to my attention because after she posted about her meal here I couldn't stop thinking about this Dang Burger (pun intended). Came in on a Monday right after opening which I think was smart. I've heard this spot is popular and I can see why. Planning ahead I figured smart to come on a weekday and to beat the lunch rush. Surprisingly even though I only came about 15 minutes after opening, there were already at least 5 groups of people sitting down and munching on their meals or waiting for their food to be called. So pro tip - come early. Dang burger thankfully has signage on the Main Street as it's located within an indoor/outdoor wine and beer bar. Dang burger has its own counter off to the left. Easy to find and while they don't have their own parking lot, I was able to park down the street and had a short walk. The staff I interacted with today was so nice. I'm sorry I didn't catch his name but he was very friendly and efficient. He took my order quickly and was just friendly and kind. He didn't mind when I asked if I could take pictures around him of the menu and such. Friendly service and my food came out fresh and ready after about a 10 minute wait. Prices are average but well worth how tasty the food is. A double burger and fries came in right under $20. For a meal this good I have no problem with those prices. My burger was the simple double dang burger with just meat, cheese, and sauce. The burger was a home run 10/10 delicious and fresh. The meat was perfectly seasoned. The bread soft but also sturdy enough to hold the toppings. The sauce is definitely a copy cat in n out type thousand island spread which I love. This burger was just stellar in flavor and presentation. No frills classic burger. I'll be dreaming about this burger because it was so good. Lastly, the fries are what we all wish in n out had! We love a crispy and skinny fry. The fries here completed the meal and you definitely need to grab some. There was ketchup pump by the silverware and you can't go wrong with that classic combo - a burger, French fries and a side of ketchup. This spot is fantastic and will be even more fun when I come next time to pair it with their neighbor stores wine flight. Took a trip up north to try Dang Burger! Parking could be challenging as it's only street parking and no designated parking lot for the restaurant. Fortunately, we didn't have an issue finding parking. The menu is simple just like In-N-Out. Not a lot of options, which makes it nice. Apparently they offer a special on Thursdays. We visited on Sunday. We ordered the Double Dang and Hot Dang burgers. It wasn't a long wait, although again it wasn't super busy. The peppers on the Hot Dang gave it just enough heat to add some mouth watering flavor! The fries were extra crispy, which I enjoyed. My partner didn't necessarily think they were the best he'd had. There's some bar seating inside or outdoor seating available. Overall it's a good burger spot that we would recommend if you're in the area, just wouldn't make a 40-50 min drive just for them like we did! read more

When getting a burger I HIGHLY recommend getting just meat bun cheese (and sauce) but don't get the original dang burger wit lettuce and tomatoes, they are WAY too wet and ruin the point of a smash burger being crispiness of the patty. Also the other reason I wouldn't give them the 5th star is the fries ... there is just something off about the flavor and also they seem to have more short pieces than full size. I do actually like their ranch for a change, it has kind of a pronounced dill flavor which is tasty. Service is pretty straightforward with order at the counter and pick up with pager. Only other issue is tables can sometimes be hard to come by if it's crowded. And they don't have indoor seating, so be careful if it's cold. read more
