I am struggling rating the restaurant because I really want to love it, it is just that some of the food was good but some of it was not good at all. The curry is good. We have tried all of them, and they could use a little more flavor, but for a Thai place in Davis County, it was good enough I will go back because there isn't much around. Now, the noodles? Pretty bad. Like, smell and taste like dog food bad. We have been back twice and tried a few different versions and they were awful. I couldn't even stomach it. I will admit I can be kind of picky, and my husband did eat them, which doesn't say much because he is a garbage disposal, but even he said it wasn't good. Overall, we will go back every once in a while when we are in a Thai food pinch, or we will head South. If yummy ethnic is what you are looking for, Taste of India is a much better choice in this area. read more

Had the Drunken Noodles. Flavor was awesome and portion was huge. Had it for breakfast the next morning. My boys had Thai Fried Rice and the Pad See Ewe and the in-laws both had the Chicken Pad Thai. We started with the Sampler and finished it off like hungry hyenas. Nary a word except "This is good." during dinner. We ordered the Pad Thai and the Cashew Chicken. It seemed like it took forever to get our food and it wasn't very hot when it came out. The chicken seemed over cooked and the Pad Thai was lacking in flavor and probably too sweet. This was definitely my least favorite Thai restaurant I've been to and I won't be returning. read more

My husband is from Thailand and absolutely LOVES this restaurant. He said it's the most authentic Thai food he has been able to find in a really long time and it's THE BEST in Utah for sure. We have both traveled all over the world and have the real thing many times and I can attest to the authenticity of most dishes as well. The curries are all wonderful my favorite being the Panang Curry. It's TO DIE FOR! We have also tried quite a few of their specialty dishes and they were all wonderful. Not only is the food awesome but the atmosphere is very nice and the owners are wonderful. Just a couple of experiences we have had with the owners: 1. I had a dish that I just loved the first time we ever went there. When our server came to check on us I absolutely gushed over the dish. She GAVE ME THE RECIPE! She told me just how to make it too! 2. Another time we were just getting take out from Pad Thai, my husband decided to walk over since we didn't live too far and it was a nice day. He got there and realized he forgot his wallet! They told him it was no big deal. They let him bring the dinner home and told him to just come and pay for it when he could. This was even before we'd been there many times so he didn't know them at all. They are just kind people. Of course we returned right after dinner and paid double! This restaurant is our favorite since moving to Utah! We live 30 minutes away and it's still our #1 choice of place to eat out. read more

I really enjoyed my dinner experience at Pad Thai in Layton. I've been a little leery of Thai food being somewhat wimpy when it comes to spicy food but the meal I was served was excellent. The atmosphere was lovely, the decor tasteful, and the staff helpful and knowledgeable. I had the Yellow Curry which is moderately spicy but not overwhelming. My husband and son chose other dishes and after some discussion with the waitress, decided to go with spicier options. The food was delivered in a timely manner and our waitress was very attentive. This place must have changed ownership, cooks or both. Sampler's cucumber salad was a paper thin slice of cucumber cut into a quarter then it into a Petrie dish. Yellow curry: undercooked potatoes and carrots. Pad Thai= syrupy- yuk! Pork noodle sou= tasteless and uncut angel hair like noodles not glass noodles. I normally don't give review unless it's very good or very bad. This is the worst Thai place I ever eaten both food and price. I order half order pad Thai, and half order of aloha fried rice. The pad thai was way too wet, the bean sprout was cooked with the rice noodle, which in a real Thai place, it should put on the top and let the heat of the noodle to cook it. It was also too salty, the fried rice was also too salty and too oily. Now, let's talk price, the half order was $5.99 add shrimp add$2.00, you only got 3 baby shrimp. They charged $2.99 for hot tea. Hello everyone, i am originally from the east coast, and i have extensive dinning experience at many nice restaurants....since authentic thai food is very hard for me to duplicated because of lack of spice markets in Utah, i frequently go out for thai. My dinning experience here at Pad Thai was less than good. The traditional curry dishes came with very little/ or no veggies....all sauce and meat...lame and not very good. There are so many better thai restaurants in SLC that do a much better job. The service was very slow, and the waiter brought us our check without asking if we wanted to have dessert, which we did....i would not reccomend this place to anyone!!!! read more

Food is very good. I prefer the yellow curry, pad ka prow or pad prik king along with a Thai tea. I have ordered the lunch special several times and about half the time they forget to put the sauce in for the eggroll which does lessen the experience and rating. I'm surprised by the negative reviews. I have eaten here a few times, as it is closeby, and it is the best Thai restaurant in Layton. I will admit, their pad thai is basically awful (WAY too sweet), but their yellow curry is delicious and perfectly balanced. My husband always gets the Pad See Ew which is equally as delicious. We have been impressed, and I always leave full, so I also find it interesting that people are complaining about portions. read more
