S2. Korean Beef Bahn Mi sandwich
    Dan S.

Really like a Bành mi sandwich and the ones at Pho Banh have actually gotten better since they opened. Tried the beef dumplings and they were good. 3/5 Banh Mi sandwich S2 Korean Beef, like the ones I get in SLC just a little better, more flavor. 4/5 Friendliness and cleanliness, 5/5

I Was very disappointed by the quality of the soup here. The Bún Bò Huế had no flavor and tasted old. You can see the bubbles at the top of the soup. The meat ( ribs ) was dry and tough to eat. The meatballs had a very sour taste. The oxtail soup was the opposite. It was extremely flavorful, but there wasn't enough oxtail in there for the price. It's not worth it. The restaurant is beautiful and clean. The service is extremely nice. Waiters are very kind and accommodating. Four out of 10 would not recommend especially for the price.

the most peaceful and delicious meal to get you feeling better after a hangover or a breakup. A ginormous amount of noodles, savory goodness broth and the most tender oxtail I've had in Utah. The cherry on top would be the amazing and kind staff who make it very easy to feel at home. 10/10

Pho special - aroma was great, but none of those flavors came through. Also, way lacking in salt. Chicken teriyaki bowl - decent. Spring rolls - these were a huge disappointment. They are supposed to taste fresh and be packed with herbs. Instead of herbs they used spinach, which was strange. They were really bad even with the sauce and we couldn't finish them.

It's very hard to find a good pho spot in Davis County especially when you know how good pho tastes. I didn't want to drive 35 mins south, decided to door dash Pho Banh and it sure did not disappoint. The portions were massive for two people to share if you wanted to. I ordered the pho meatballs, and they did not skimp on the meatballs like most places do. They give plenty of broth and noodles along with veggies. The broth is pretty flavorful. Also ordered the Vietnamese coffee, can never go wrong! Definitely recommend Pho Banh if you're looking for something local.

They have a to go fee. They make you pay an extra dollar for a plastic cup. This is ridiculous. I've never heard of a restaurant doing this.

Not only wasn't it crack chicken with that wonderful creamy sauce, it was Turkey - with no sauce on it. Not even mayo. And it was on plain bread. I showed it to the girl at the counter, who took it in the back to show someone and came back and said, " Yes, that's crack chicken." When I pointed out it was, in fact, TURKEY, she turned to help another customer and ignored me. So, not only is quality slipping, but so is the service. And apparently, there's a chef who doesn't know his own menu and can't tell chicken from turkey.

My husband ordered the sausage butter croissant and was surprised it didn't come with egg - just sausage, cheese and the croissant. I even double-checked the menu to be sure and they do have both - an option with egg and one without. He gave it a 3/5 and said it would've been much better with egg. I went with the egg and cheese on a butter croissant. It was definitely on the greasy side but that's to be expected with a croissant. We shared a sweet roll, which was pretty good but the real win for me was the free samples. They were handing out bites of their baked goods - pumpkin chocolate chip, a white chocolate cookie of some sort and a mystery muffin - and I snagged a few for us. Overall, pretty good for a quick breakfast!

It's a family-run restaurant with an open kitchen, so you can see every dish being prepared right in front of you. It doesn't feel like a typical restaurant--it feels like you've been invited into their home. And what truly sets this place apart is the people behind it. The father took the time to walk us through the menu and explain each dish in detail. The mother shared the cultural and historical inspiration behind the plates, connecting the food back to the Philippines in such a meaningful way. Their son served us with professionalism and genuine kindness. You can feel the pride, love, and intention in everything they do. What we ordered: Pork Lumpia with Sweet Chili Sauce - perfectly crispy, fresh, and packed with flavor. Sizzlin' OINK Sisig - served hot with an egg on top... bold, savory, and absolutely addictive. Lechon OINKawali - crispy pork belly done right: crunchy on the outside, tender and juicy inside. Pancit Noodles - THE BEST NOODLES EVER!!!! And for dessert: Banana - Bowlicious - fried plantains tossed in cinnamon sugar, topped with vanilla ice cream and caramel drizzle... the perfect sweet finish. Unfortunately, I don't remember the name of the fried sweet plantain banana desert but I have to say that the flavor still lingers in my mouth and my heart! Everything tasted incredibly fresh. The sauces are clearly made from scratch, and the flavors are rich, authentic, and beautifully balanced. And the value? Unbeatable. We ordered appetizers, three main dishes, and two desserts and the bill left me speechless in a good way :) If you're looking for authentic Filipino cuisine with heart, story, and flavor this is the place. Highly recommend. Thank you for an amazing last dinner in Utah! I will absolutely be back.

Went down on a Saturday when traffic was light and easily found the restaurant in a strip mall with lots of parking. The family running the restaurant is helpful and friendly! It's a small restaurant with about 8 good size tables. A awesome menu including desserts! We got : Jam Bowl Loco - it's a healthy scoop of rice - 1/2 lb brisket burger w/ a fried egg and brown gravy all over! Hubby said best loco moco he has ever had which is saying a lot since he's has a few hundred under his belt! I got the pork BBQ Skewers (4) served with garlic fried rice and a papaya salad. I loved the BBQ pork lots of flavor and eaten with the rice and salad it was excellent! I enjoyed this dish very much and would order it again . We also got the pork lumpia which was a great start to our meal. Due to the long drive and the yummy food we decided to order the chicken adobo bowl as a take out. I can't wait to have it for dinner! Vanessa was the friendliest person she and her husband own and run the restaurant plus do the cooking. She told us they do have specials and rotate their dishes which is an awesome idea for frequent visitors. It was a great trip - no traffic - awesome food- a great little excursion

Cafe Zupas in Layton on Antelope Drive is..... TRULY AWFUL! The fact that I actually "Yelp'd" this…read morerestaurant prior to trying...well it's not like I wasn't warned but some of those photos (that were taken by others and NOT the restaurant), looked absolutely delicious. Sadly, my meal was anything but. Ordered the "Try 2 Combo" with the California Cobb Salad and the Turkey Avacodo Club on Ciabatta bread. Online ordering said I could request up to four complimentary sides (butter, chocolate dipped strawberry, French Baguette roll, and a Cheesy Dipper Breadstick). I went with all of them but they conveniently left off the French Baguette roll and the napkins and utensils. First thing I noticed was the order was ready for pickup within 10 minutes. I thought "damn, that was quick! Hope they got it right". Ha! The California Cobb Salad was to have baby butter lettuce and I received (what I could tell), was their house "chopped" mixed greens (TBH, the mix definitely WASN'T chopped!), which had an abundance of red leaf lettuce that was very warm, wilting, and inedible. I honestly had to toss the WHOLE half salad that it was. As for the toppings of a boiled egg (you receive half of one), chicken was a handful of tiny pieces along with the bacon bits (ends basically), olives, grape tomatoes (TWO..lol), three sliced avacodos, and the goat cheese was maybe four tiny chunks. Only thing DECENT was the Chipotle Ranch dressing but even that couldn't salvage the rotten salad. How in the world could a store manager or a franchise even send out wilting WARM lettuce when they have a good third of their menu devoted to salads??? It is beyond me but I highly recommend MOD PIZZA for FRESH LETTUCE each and every time!! And they let you make your own salad combinations there and NEVER skimp on the toppings/protein/etc. Only reason why I even went here was someone else wanted a sandwich... so here's that... TBH, I've had better prepackaged sandwiches at the local gas station. I am NOT kidding you! Here (Cafe Zupas), on the Turkey Avacodo Club, some slices of prepackaged turkey, one half of the sandwich got all the bacon, avacodos were smeared... taste was okay but the Ciabatta bread was rather hard... hence why my partner had me try it. Speaking of HARD, the chocolate dipped strawberry was frozen and about broke off my two front teeth taking a bite. I realize strawberries aren't in season, but how long have they been stored in the industrial freezer? It was partially green, tasted unripe, and you could tell by it's leaves that it was WAY past it's prime. The Cheesy Dipper Breadstick was also a bit hard. Not too big in size. Not the worst part of the meal though. I shudder to think what the soups are like at this location given my first time experience. It really seems by the reviews and what I experienced that this location needs a major management overhaul and new employees. QUALITY should always matter! When it doesn't, you won't see repeat customers or recommendations... other than this recommend: STAY AWAY from this joint!

Today I tried a new bowl, the Golden Curry protein bowl. It's half salad and half wild rice and their curry soup over the rice. Even though there wasn't any dressing I didn't miss it. The soup side was good enough and the liquid from the soup (thick too) was great as it leaked into the salad. It's a different experience but let me tell you how good it is!! The curry flavor was nice, not too spicy at all. I'd definitely get this again. My hubby knowing I love summer desserts chose to get us both the Strawberries and cream cup. The cream is slightly sweetened and went well with the nicely ripe berries (which made it taste all the better). I'd get this again too. Even though it was crowded, there were plenty of places to sit and the staff kept it relatively clean. Thank you for a nice lunch experience.
