Heat Pho is located inside of the mercantile of Asian wonders known as Ocean Mart. I made it my mission to eat my way through the menus of all of the restaurants within my go-to grocery store, but then I went vegan. I ordered the Pad Thai with vegetables and tofu with no egg. The sweet lady who cooks happened to take my order that afternoon, and she reassured me that her vegan Pad Thai was prepared on strictly vegan surfaces. First of all, the portion is HUGE. She lines the clamshell styrofoam container with tin foil which I appreciate - there's nothing worse than getting an order in styrofoam with the bottom melted into my food - and PACKED it full of Pad Thai. The Pad Thai comes with huge chunks of broccoli, cauliflower, marinated tofu (I just about died from deliciousness)! Even if veggies aren't your thing, it's so well flavored, you'll crave it. I ordered the panang curry for my husband, and it's a good thing I went with a double order because he loved every bite. The lime leaves flavored the broth beautifully and the amount of chicken is unbelievable. Try it. Seriously... try it. read more

Been to many Vietnamese and Thai restaurants around the world, two food genre I enjoy. it was a little new for me to experience or see Pho (seems to me more typical in Vietnamese culture) at a Thai restaurant... figured I would try. Decent flavor, limited vegis and meat. Not bad, but certainly not rushing back, no extras to doctor up the broth like I'm accustomed to doing. my wife got the Pad Thai, decent... admittedly I'm not a Pad Thai fan, bit it was pretty good. based on my recollection, Pad Thai is more typically a larger wide noodle and perhaps a bit more peanut flavor. this was more like glass noodle it seems and not very peanutty. maybe it's why I liked it. final point. this is located in Ocean Mart and think of grocery deli, meat, cheese section that's been converted to a food court at the mall. not a bad thing, just helping set expectations. Very disappointing. I went there after seeing the very positive reviews. Huh??? Maybe I was there on an off day, but both the food and service disappointed. The food was the worst Thai food that I can remember. Not one drop of sauce. VERY dry throughout. I am NOT a "foodie" and the vast majority of my reviews are positive, but this food was bland even for me. I ate about 1/2 of it as I was very hungry. That's it. I tossed the rest. I cannot recall the last time I did that. I mentioned that the service also disappointed. In lieu of a meat, I asked for extra sauce. There was none. As I paid, the lady actually held the tip jar up to me and shook it..even said "tip" as if it was required. Wow. Never had that happen before - in Thailand or any other country I've ever been in. My sister and I wanted to try this pho restaurant for weeks and we haven't had time so we decided to make time and go, it's inside of the Ocean grocery store and it's very nice inside. We went inside to get pho but saw other restaurants and we got a few things. The pho was okay, I'm not going to lie i was disappointed, i seen all the reviews and was excited but i think there was a new chef or something because it wasn't as good as the reviews, there was a nice older lady working all by herself so maybe that's why, but we will try this place again soon and hopefully update this review to something better. Best Thai food in Northern Utah, hands down. Do yourself a favor and get the Pad Thai, or if you like heat, get the Pad Kra Pao and ask her to make it as hot as possible. This is authentic, delicious and all around worth every dollar. Don't forget the mango sticky rice for dessert. read more

The service I experienced at Heat Pho was perfect! I approached the counter 15 minutes before closing and normally, I hate burdening employees by being THAT customer. But the ladies there greeted me with a smile and assured me that they were more than happy to help me. To put it simply, the customer service was awesome and the food was delicious! I definitely recommend ordering Spicy Pad Kra Pao and the mango boba tea, made with FRESH MANGOS. Overall, a very pleasant experience and it was even more uplifting to see how much pride these ladies have in their culture and in their cooking. Love this place! read more

So delicious!! My husband and I shared the hot pho and man it was amazing. The broth had so much flavor. We got the pork, it was tender. Also the lady there was beyond sweet and super friendly. She knew we were going to share so she gave us extra broth. Oh and if you like your pho spicy ask for her home made hot oil, it's so good! We will definitely be back! read more

We were looking for some good Asian style food and happened into Ocean Mart where our noses immediately drew us to Heat Pho. We ordered the special on recommendation from the owner and got the Thai Iced Tea. The meal was cooked especially to our preferred heat. I got chicken and my husband got beef. This is the place I have been searching. Papaya salad is main staple of thai cuisine. Its obvious she follows the traditional thai techniques in preparation of papaya salad.
