We cancelled our service mid 2024; told that they would come remove the equipment on our roof, but we continued to get billed. Then we were told we needed to return the I. House box in order to terminate our contract. We took the equipment to their office. We have continued to be billed for 4 more months. I reached the billing person today who told me that it is their policy that they do not stop billing until you send something in writing. I asked where in the contract that was stated, her exact words were "they told you that when you started the service" . I have been trying to get this service cancelled since Oct 2024. I wish I could give zero stars.. TWICE now I've spoken to a rude man in "sales" He lacks any and all customer service skills. He answers the line almost as if he's irritated that you called. Like its a bother to have to take your call. We are new to a rural area and sadly this is one of the few places that services us. We own our own business and need fast internet, we were willing to pay whatever ridiculous price they had to offer. I will now be calling anyone else and paying anyone but them. As a small business owner, I know that without a good sales rep and overall good customer service skills we wouldn't make it. I don't know how this company has survived with him as the sales rep. That is not the case with Pacific LightWave. I called to get some pricing for our personal residence and was greeted over the phone with an annoyed and very impatient associate. I'm about as unsatisfied as someone can be when paying for a service. I very often get less than 10% of the speed for which I am paying and have been strung along for over two years with promises of "firmware updates" that will supposedly fix the problem. They have replaced the hardware on my roof, which helped with the frequent disconnects to some extent but did not solve the problem completely. Customer service offers little to no assistance and has often claimed that my router is the problem, when it has been proven to not be the case by representatives verifying that the speeds reaching the hardware on my roof match the speeds I report coming through my router. Also, do not pay for the high-end package because you will rarely get anywhere near the advertised speeds. I have the 50/5 mbps (50 down, 5 up) package and am currently sitting at 5 mbps download. I will attach a screenshot of a speed test for proof. I no longer even bother calling in because the representatives offer the same "firmware updates" line every time. Must be quite the update for it to take over two years to roll out! The reps also must not take notes of any kind because I am required to explain the same things over and over every time I have called. I'm very glad to be moving out of the area soon so I will no longer have my money effectively stolen by paying for a service I do not receive. I would only recommend this to someone who has literally no other options than satellite internet. read more

I wish I could give them zero stars. I went with pacific lightwave because the alternative Spectrum isnt very gooood. Boy was I wrong wish I went with Spectrum. For over month I have had off and on service, when I do have service it's at very slow speeds. The support email is useless no one responds and very rare does someone pick the support phone. I run an airbnb and my last 3 renters have complained for not having internet access. This is unacceptable service and not what I signed up for. To top it off every support person has a different solution to my problem and neither solution has solved my problem. Today they came out and "upgraded" my equipment. Still no internet at first he insisted my router ws faulty and asked me to call the manufacturer. After refusing to believe its my equipment he spoke to someone said I need to wait until 9pm for it to register. Turns out it wasnt equipment after all. Wtf is that all about ? I've been a customer for years. When I first moved to Pacific Lightwave it was great. No speed issues, no reliability issues. Since then the service has become highly unreliable -- to the point we don't even call when the service goes down because they give some excuse and tell us it will be up later. They complain of being under denial of service attacks yet larger ISPs have this figured out through redundancy and dynamic routing. I have a Smart Home and I work from home so having consistently reliable internet is important to me. If it is important to you, keep looking. Pacific Lightwave is not growing gracefully and that means frequent outages. read more

We heard about Pacific Lightwave through recommendation by our business partner. We switch to PLW 2 weeks ago. During the initial setup, we ran in to connection issue. After a few weeks of troubleshooting and several phone calls, the connection issue has been resolve. Their support is amazing and very patient. As mentioned, their IT support are amazing. They have been extremely helpful in resolving the connection issues. After a few weeks of working with me, they have narrowed down where the problem lies. They had installed an updated firmware on their system along with their tower by our area. I am now able to connect with minimal hiccup.. I tell, It is much better than what we were experiencing. 99.5% better that it was. Kudos to Simon, Peter and Lorenzo. They are amazing. They respond to my email and phone call right away.
