Once we closed and moved in we were contacted by Smart Tech's service tech JP. JP came to our house for the "white glove" move-in service, which consisted of explaining all of the options that Smart Tech offers to the homeowners in this community, and to our surprise, a free Ring front gate camera and keyless entry system from the garage into the house. JP was so professional, courteous and knowledgeable that we decided to go with Smart Tech to install/mount all of our TV's, install a web mesh system, and install all of our audio/video systems. This was a pretty big project that included mounting 6 TV's, 3 web mesh locations throughout the house and 2 Dolby surround systems, as well as a audio sound system on the back patio. JP and Steve, also from Smart Tech, took care of this entire project in one day. Their work was impeccable! TV's were mounted perfectly and they left the work areas spotless. Both JP and Steve were professional, courteous, very friendly and super helpful explaining all of the info involved with all of the installation. I read most of the reviews here on Smart Tech prior to hiring them and noticed that most of the reviews were for security systems. I really felt it was important to add this review because they did such an exceptional job on our audio/video systems. I would recommend Smart Tech to anyone looking for this type of project. Two or so years ago, they redid our large outdoor lighting system, replacing everything with LED lights and putting everything, including our garage doors and gates, on a wireless home automation system. This month, they removed our old home entertainment system and replaced it with a new, state-of-the-art one, including custom speakers, an 8k TV, universal automation, and so forth. As part of the project, they ended up moving and updating our WiFi system and cabling. They also had to coordinate closely with drywall and painting contractors. The Rangle folks, especially Ryan and Cris, are very nice and a pleasure to work with. They are knowledgeable, creative, energetic, thorough, neat, and patient in explaining technology. They were ALWAYS on time and did what they said they were going to do, when they said they were going to do it. Their prices, while not bargain basement, are quite reasonable. On this current job, they actually outbid another, well known company. We're looking forward t our next project with Rangle. How often can you say that about home contractors?

I was excited about the AVIR installed Savant system that came with our new home. The excitement…read morehas transitioned into frustration and disappointment as it became obvious that the AVIR focus is on new installations. Try as I might, I have not been able to get a quote on the camera system we are wired for nor can we get anyone to come out and transfer the previous owners information to ours. AVIR has obviously made the lion share of their money on the previous owner and I guess they have $$ based priorities beyond that. We are now forced to replace the Savant system with a more mainstream product. I will update this review as we move along.
