I like to eat fish and seafood so coming to Pacific Catch in Tustin is usually on my list. I had the salmon avocado burger recently, and it was a pretty solid choice. The salmon was nicely cooked, moist and flaky, not too dry. It is paired with avocado and served in a sesame seed bun that holds the sandwich together without being too dense. The cole slaw was a standard accompaniment and offered a fresh counterpoint. It's a burger that manages to feel lighter than beef, which I appreciated. The coconut shrimp were also quite good. They had that desirable crispy, sweet coating, and the shrimp themselves were tender. They're a reliable appetizer, easy to share with one or two others. Our server was super nice and met my expectations for service. read more

Back again! We chose Pacific Catch to celebrate my mom's birthday this year. It was so easy to make a reservation through open table, parking is a breeze with their large lot nearby. Their huge menu offered something for everyone. We enjoyed new seasonal appetizers as well as our usual "go-to's" including their fish tacos, fish and chips, and bowls. We love the freshness, flavor, and ambiance of Pacific Catch. Highly recommended for any occasion! read more

I've seen this place in passing while coming to the Tustin Market place to shop, and finally I got to dine here for the first time. We didn't have a reservation on that Saturday evening, but they were kind enough to accomodate our party of four since it was fairly early and not too crowded yet. Decent size interior with plenty of tables and a warm tropical vibe. Our server was hustling at her busy section, so it took a bit for her to get to us. Nonetheless, she was apologetic when she came to finally greet us and take our food and order (all good). With so many options to choose from. My sister and her boyfriend decided with the Grilled Salmon Bowl and Original Ahi Poke Bowl, which were massive portions. They both enjoyed, and even had leftovers to take home. My husband and I shared the Mixed Catch Platter (equally huge), and he also got a single hand roll (of some sort) as well. Washed it all down with a Mango Cart Wheat Ale (not pictured), because I drank it too fast...LOL. Needless to say it was refreshing and we enjoyed our dinner here together! I'll have to come here again to try their happy hour next time! CHEERS and happy eating till next time... read more

Service was way too slow/inexperienced for our group of 8. We constantly had to ask our server for refills, clearing plates, and then were told we hit a 2 hour dining limit. I don't recall seeing that 2 hour limit when I made the reservation on OpenTable, we were still ordering pitchers of margaritas so we had to chug them since the notice came right before the latest pitcher. The food looks great in pics, few folks in the group said they would maybe try the restaurant again if they were around. We all left hungry after ordering multiple apps with entrees and 3 rounds of drinks. We expected better service overall read more

Ambience is good. Food is good. Service is absolutely horrible. Super slow, not attentive, no plates when our food arrives (after 40 minutes). It took 20 months nutes and repeated requests for a server to even show up. It seems like they are short staffed n staff (very short). I am not coming back. Hire more people... read more

We returned for a second visit on a Saturday evening and the restaurant was packed! I wanted to try something different so I ordered the Sashimi Hand Roll Salmon and the Miso Black Cod. Food quality was just as fresh and consistent as our last visit. I also tried the Soy-Ginger Chilean Sea Bass, but I still prefer the black cod. I washed my meal down with a refreshing POG. Rebecca was our server this time around and she was just as friendly and attentive as Lexi. Memorable dining experiences...2 for 2!! read more

I decided to try out Pacific Catch again one day since I got a free bowl reward from the app. I got the West Coast bowl with shrimp to-go and sadly did not enjoy it. The shrimp was extremely salty (had to spit it out) and the flavors in the bowl were severely lacking- there was no sauce or anything! The greens were dry, the cauliflower was unseasoned... It felt like torture with every bite. I sadly think I got the wrong item- but the West Coast bowl used to be good! read more

I'd probably give this a 3.5 for this visit. It was my first time at Pacific Catch. I've driven by many times and always wanted to try it. This review is based on the Aloha Hour Menu mainly. We ordered the Pupu Plater and some drinks to start. It's basically a sampler of apps but also includes some grilled sea bass. We really enjoyed all the food included in this sampler. The Guacapoke was probably our favorite. Our server was awesome! The break down was in the order delivery and bussing areas. There was clearly a shortage in staff or just untrained support staff. It took a long wait to get our platter. We had basically already finished our drinks. The food that was warm, like the sliders, coconut shrimp and sea bass had good flavor but by the time we got it, it was mostly like warm. We order a little more food including more coconut shrimp (came with 7 but menu said it only had 5, no complaints there) a shrimp taco, and a shrimp tempura roll. The coconut shrimp were hot this time but seemed and looked undercooked inside, the shrimp taco was well received and the shrimp tempura roll was probably the worst shrimp tempura roll I e ever had. Wet chewy seaweed, harden rice and little to no flavor or creativity in the plating. The Kimchi Fried Rice was average at best. The Lava Cake was good. We liked the patio and it's a dog friendly outside. We may try it again with the hopes it was just an off day. Our server was so good she's why we'll try it again! read more

We came here to grab a quick lunch and we had an awesome experience! We were greeted quickly and we chose to sit outside because it was a nice day out! There outside makes you feel inside and outside at the same time which is so nice! My husband got an old fashioned and I got a margarita and both were delicious! Our waiter was polite and attentive! For food, I got the ahi tuna poke bowl and my husband got the salmon burger and both were delicious as well! The aesthetic of this restaurant is so nice! We are hoping to come back! read more

We placed an online order here last night for dinner and were very disappointed by the quality of the food. We woke up in the middle of the night with stomach cramps and one of us threw up. We both had to use the bathroom numerous times, and we are still not feeling well despite having to go to work this morning. For the bowl we got, my friend subbed shrimp instead of salmon and she said the shrimp was overly salty and bitter. The bowl was lacked sauce and flavor, it was definitely not worth the hefty price of $24. The calamari was sliced so thin that you were mostly eating batter instead of meat. There were many pieces that were so small and thin you couldn't even tell whether there was meat inside. My baja taco was soggy, and the steak taco barely had any steak in it, it was primarily cabbage. The grilled chilean sea bass taco was the best tasting item we got out of everything. On top of all that, the black beans were missing from my 3 taco platter. The quality of the food has severely declined since the last time we went to this location. They also got rid of the a la carte tacos, forcing you to choose a 2 or 3 taco platter (very greedy of them). We used to be big fans of this place, but we certainly won't be returning after this awful experience. read more

Got reeled back in to Pacific Catch last night for dinner. The restaurant is spacey. We were fortunate enough to get last minute reservations on a Friday night. What a catch! My party of 3 enjoyed our dinner. They offer an extensive selection of seafood items. I ordered their Hawaiian poke bowl. I love that they have different size options. Their small was perfect for me. My daughter loves their Double Rainbow Bowl. Both our come with fresh sashimi, rice, salad and seaweed salad. We both enjoyed our dishes. Hubbie opted for the fish and chips, which looked amazing as well. I love that you can choose from so many different seafood options. I'm adding a star back on to my updated review, because everything was wonderful last night. The food, the service, the restaurant accommodating us on a Friday night. I can't wait to come back, you have caught my heart Pacific Catch! read more

We were in the mood for fish and were excited to try this restaurant for the first time. Based on our experience, I have the following comments: 1) the hostess was very polite and professional; 2) Off hours, please taste the drinks that are being served. My wife ordered a Mai Tai. When I tasted it, I couldn't tell it was a Mai tai. My wife didn't finish it. 3) the silverware (wrapped it a napkin) looked dirty. 4) half of the Chips (please see up above regarding tasting what is being served) were stale. 5) Our ahi poke appetizer was good but the bed it was served on tasted fishy. Because of our experience, we went elsewhere for dinner. read more

I had mixed feelings about my recent dining experience here. On one hand , the seafood was genuinely good. I ordered the sea bass, which was incredibly tender and flavorful. The accompanying vegetables were seasoned adequately and cooked appropriately . Unfortunately, the meal was ruined at checkout. Our bill for two dinners came out to approximately sixty dollars. However, when the server handed me the handheld payment device it suggested that an 18% tip equaled $18. This is incorrect math-18% of $60 is $10.80. This felt like a deliberate deception to trip customers into overtopping. Check your receipts if you eat here! read more

They have the best patio! On cooler days a few tables have a fire table near for ambiance, but there's a great breeze for warmer days. Inside is bright and nice tropical decor. We were excited to try Pacific Catch for the first time, especially because we came specifically for happy hour. When we arrived, we told the hostess that we were there for happy hour, and she acknowledged it. She then asked where we wanted to sit since we had our toddler, and we told her we didn't have a preference. After we were seated, our server informed us that happy hour was only available at outdoor tables. Unfortunately, no one mentioned this when we checked in. To make matters more frustrating, we watched parties who arrived after us get seated outside and receive happy hour. Our server said she would ask the manager, Bill, if an exception could be made, but we overheard her saying that he strictly enforced the outdoor-only happy hour policy and that she was too scared to ask him. That comment made the situation even more uncomfortable. By that point, we decided to leave. As first-time guests with a hungry toddler, the experience was disappointing and felt very disorganized. We completely understand if happy hour is limited to outdoor seating, but that should have been communicated by the hostess before seating us. A little better communication could have prevented an unnecessary and frustrating experience. read more

Hello again yelping peeps !! Chose this place by chance for lunch . Hostess was nice and friendly got seated right away . I will say the server we got was a bit aloof and racing to leave at each point of contact . I ordered the shrimp tacos and my partner ordered the fish tacos , we both got fries. The protein was really good on both dishes, black beans with sprinkled cotija cheese ( comes with it ) were underwhelming and the fries were subpar, soggy . Personally, I feel the black beans don't belong on this plate but maybe that's personal choice . Oh !! We did get the fried calamari appetizer, that's was good not oily or soggy The place was quiet enough to have a conversation and enjoy your persons company . Overall I'd come back for the calamari and tacos a la cart but not anytime soon . read more

OC restaurant week is back March 2-8! And that means good eats at an even better deal. Got the dinner for 2 for $100 which came with an appetizer, two entrees and a dessert. For the trio sampler we chose the serrano ahi poke, yellowtail ceviche, and shrimp ceviche. I loved the variety of veggies and chips on the side to eat the sampler with. The ceviches were so citrusy and bright but the ahi poke was very lacking in flavor - it wasn't spicy or tasted like much of anything at all. We also got a house salad with a side of dressing. It was very tasty and I love how the shitake mushrooms added a meaty element to the salad. The surf and turf/surf and surf was delicious and sooo decadent. Everything was seasoned to perfection - the broccolini was tossed in a chili miso sauce that was both savory and had a spicy kick. The mashed potatoes were buttery and velvety. The skirt steak had a sweet Korean fusion flavor marinade. And I'm a sucker for Hawaiian rolls; they were simply heated up on the griddle but so warm and soft on the inside but crispy on the outside. Dessert was a pineapple "right side up" cake which was okay. I found the caramel sauce way too sweet and the grilled pineapple on the bottom much too hard/not grilled enough. I would pass if it weren't included in the meal. We also got a drink from the winter menu: the cranberry margarita. The best way to describe it is it tasted like the holidays. Hints and notes of warm spices, rosemary and cranberry bring be in front of a fireplace in a cozy decorated house with snow falling outside haha. Very delicious if you like that kind of flavor profile. Overall a great experience and I'm glad to have been able to try Pacific Catch at such a good deal. read more

2.5 rounded up. Service is quite slow, parking is also a bit cramped in shared lot with In N Out and other stores. Food was good though, so make sure to not come too hungry and it will be fine. It's also quote loud in there, too. The first visit was not too shabby, but the second visit months later was really off putting and they forgot two of our sides. Hard to flag down to even place an order. We have tried a lot of different options here, but might not return due to nothing really standing out. read more

Horrible service. First time at this restaurant and was empty when we arrived and the decor nice overall. The thing was that when we arrived we were just standing there waiting, the servers were just walking around us like we were crazy and it took like 8 minutes until the host came to the front and she literally sighed when she saw us and when she approached her stand she just stared at us and didn't say a word. Her face literally seemed like we were ruining her day for being there. We had to ask her if we could sit down and she just said "where".... nothing else. Imagine that. Having worked in the restraunt industry for years this is some of the worst experience and just ruined the vibe of the meal so we just left and went to islands down the street. read more

Went with a meetup group of about 12 for dinner. Pacific catch was a nice restaurant offering various seafood options and a selection of craft cocktails. As a large group we were seated together, 8 at 1 table and 4 at a table right next to the bigger one. Service was good, our server was attentive and even split the check for each individual which was super helpful and took all of the drama of individuals adding up their orders and contribute their portions. Food was solid and plentiful. I don't think anyone ordered dessert because we were all full from our meal. I would definitely come back again. read more

Pretty solid spot. Came here on a Friday evening for an early dinner and sat at the bar. Inside is a total vibe - all the decor make you feel like you're in Hawaii! For food: The Serrano Ahi Poke is our usual go-to. The poke is always delicious but this time the chips were stale. We also tried their Hawaiian Pork Belly Sliders, and while they were pretty good, I'm not sure I'd get them again (I'd prefer to get their Coconut Shrimp). The Sashimi Hand Roll Trio was delicious and would definitely get this again next time! Lately, we got a salmon sushi roll, and while it didn't have much fish, it was still pretty good! Service was attentive and nice. We were in & out fairly quickly. Overall, good spot and also a greatly happy hour option! read more

Originally, we were going to eat elsewhere but that place had a long wait and we couldn't wait because daughter was getting low blood sugar. While there was a slight wait, we were happy that we got seated almost immediately. Daughter had been wanting to come back here since the last time we were here. We got a complimentary California Roll because they said that it turned out to be a wrong order for someone else. It worked out for us because our daughter has Type 1 diabetes and she was getting low, so she got to eat immediately! This was pretty good because they used real crab meat and that's why we all liked it. Daughter ordered the Chirashi Bowl - Ahi Three Ways, which has original poke, Serrano poke, sesame-seared ahi, ponzu, wake spicy cucumber and sushi rice. She loved this plate and it was her favorite entree. This was pretty fresh and a different take on the chirashi bowl. Hubs had the Miso Black Cod, which is broiled, glazed Alaska sablefish with furikake rice, sesame green beans. He liked this a lot and said that it could use 30 seconds less on the grill, but he still liked it. Lastly I had the Lobster Roll, which has butter-warmed lobster, griddled Hawaiian rolls, sesame slaw, and choice of fries or salad. I got the sweet potato fries and thought they were nice and crunchy. Hubs was nibbling on it like crazy. LOL. The lobster roll was pretty nice and buttery. The Hawaiian rolls were a nice touch. I also had the Tropical Iced Tea and thought that this was pretty good and citrusy. Service was quick and really friendly. I'm glad that we came back here. We had a positive experience when we last came here and an even more positive experience this time around! read more

Two words: HAPPY HOUR and on a Saturday from 3-5pm in the bar area and the fact that the Pupu Platter is only $25 during HH is a win. This place always has good food and it's super cute inside but the service is always elite. We love that this place is dog-friendly in the patio too. Shout out to our bartender, Matt. Not only was he slingin the drinks, he brought the vibes and the laughs. I swear he whipped out dental floss for my bf when he had something in his tooth and if that isn't elite service, I don't know what is. I was having one of those good days. Driving back from the beach with a song acting as my soundtrack in the background. The sun was shining on my face as I slid into the perfect stop at the red light holding order in a lively intersection. I do what I always do on a good day in my car. I take a look at the rear view mirror and be honest with myself by saying, "Looking good champ!" Just as I was completing that sentence, I was interrupted by a beautiful lady in the car next to mine. "You're the catch of the day," she bellowed with a seductive smile just before she drove off. This was a good day indeed! Her words echoed through my head as I accelerated from my stop. That is when synchronicity decided to pay a visit as Pacific Catch entered my peripheral view. Pacific Catch? I'm the catch of the day? I don't know why but I knew I had to stop by for a meal. It was my destiny, my hero's journey and most importantly it was lunch time. Synchronicity has never let me down before and it did not let me down on this day either. The salmon was of great quality, the bar was fully stocked and the environment was as laid back as the beach I had just come from. By the end of the meal my stomach, in addition to my ego, was full & satisfied. Stay having good days my friends... read more

My family of four visited during Aloha Hour and overall had a mixed experience. We ordered a variety of items including spicy tuna rolls, California rolls, poke, fish tacos, and calamari. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful at the time, so we left feeling satisfied.
