Crazy story. Booked a reservation for 6:30pm on Valentine's Day 2025! Crazy I know...and this restaurant came up with availability and decided we'd check it out. As expected on such a night, on a Friday nonetheless. The place was jammed packed and wait times were over an hour. We made line at 6:15 to check in for our 6:30 reservation time. We were seated at our table at 7pm. Ordered our appetizer and drinks almost as soon as we were seated and greeted by our server. He was so kind and apologetic for the wait times. Our appetizer arrived at 7:03pm! I know because I took the picture. I thought that was so awesome of them! We ordered their guaca-poke with chips and it was delicious! For our entrees we both chose the surf and turf. Lobster tail and skirt steak with mashed potatoes and broccoli with Hawaiian rolls. 10/10 DELICIOUS! at this point we both agreed it was worth the wait. For dessert we chose their chocolate lava cake with fresh strawberries and powdered sugar. It came out warm and delicious!! Best way to end a perfect meal! The ambiance inside is pretty cool as well. Very beautiful decor and honestly a hidden gem at Tustin Marketplace. Will certainly be back. Despite the expected long wait times and crowds, the entire staff was really amazing and courteous. That made A HUGE DIFFERENCE in the overall experience. Kudos to the staff!!! Must check this place out for yourself! read more

We were very excited to try this place, it has so many good reviews and the menu honestly looks amazing. I don't know if we just came on an off day, but we were so disappointed. First to start the bottle of water brought to the table almost made us want to leave. If we hadn't already order and had hungry kids we probably would have. I used a napkin to wipe the opening of the bottle, hoping it was just mineral staining, but it was definitely just dirty from the dishwasher. There's simply no excuse for this, how absolutely disgusting. We also ordered a cocktail and it came in a dirty glass with a fruit fly. We can comment on the taste because we didn't even bother having them remake it, because at this point we just wanted to leave. The "sticky" ribs had not even a single hint of caramelization. They were just gamey and with a sad thin sauce. The coconut shrimp were also just ok. Overall all of the food was very mediocre and we definitely won't be coming back for the dirty dishes. read more

My family of four visited during Aloha Hour and overall had a mixed experience. We ordered a variety of items including spicy tuna rolls, California rolls, poke, fish tacos, and calamari. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful at the time, so we left feeling satisfied. Unfortunately, within a few hours of dinner, three out of the four members of our family developed upset stomachs and felt quite sick. Since we all shared many of the same dishes, it was concerning and put a damper on our evening plans. The staff and service were good, but based on our experience, I felt it was important to share this feedback. Hope others didn't experience what we did. read more

Matthew was awesome! He suggested which starter and entrees were good and they were delicious The calamari wasn't rubbery like some places, the clams were fresh and sweet, and the fish was grilled perfectly. read more

Call me obsessed, because did you know they have a weekend happy hour from 3-5pm? My girlfriend and I split their two sampler platters, one had the hot foods, while the other one was the poke trio. We also both got the shark fin and guava-rita cocktails, and during happy hour, they were only $9! This was both of our first times here, and we were blown away by the amazing service from Ryan, and the delicious food and drinks. We sat by the bar facing the outdoor patio, and it was the perfect weather for two girlys to enjoy happy hour. My personal favorites of everything was the shark fin cocktail which was sweet and refreshing. I also really liked the sliders, tempura shrimps/prawns, and the guac! Pretty much everything on the hot foods platter one was my fav. We spent about 3 hours there and had a blast the whole time. read more

Friday night Quality of food has gone down the drain. Clam broth bland and tasted like tap water. Sea bass with 0 seasoning and dry. I think the Kimchi fried rice is missing an ingredient: the kimchi. Just bland boiled rice. Service is non-existent (with only 2 tables)- waiter disappeared, may have to file missing person report. Been looking at an empty water bottle whole time. Am I maybe supposed to put a message inside of it? Hostess chillin' sitting at an empty booth. But she did sit us down, so I guess her job ends there. What happened to this place? -The Honest Yelper read more

Absolutely delicious! The hand roll trio is my favorite, but I've tried many things off the menu and everything is great quality.

Our new favorite when we want good quality fresh food . Lots of options, big portions and reasonable prices. Also servers are attentive. We appreciated Cailee checking in and being receptive. Good for all ages. Our teens enjoy the sushi, grandma loves the tacos. They also have a seasonable menu. If you appreciate quality and health this is the spot read more

I wasn't expecting to find something I'd like, but did! I enjoyed the salad I had. Atmosphere was nice, customer service was good! I have no complaints. Only thing I wanted to mention was the water, which is the reason why I'm not adding 5 stars. I'm not sure what kind of water they're using. Although it didn't seem to be filtered because the taste was peculiar. I honestly couldn't continue drinking it because of the taste & smell, and I say that as respectfully as I can. Everything else was great though! read more

I have dined at Pacific Catch a pleather of times now since sadly discovering it barely this year. They offer a wide selection of food items from tacos to sushi with an Asian fusion. Happy hour is Awesome too! Great portions and everything is delicious!!! Service is always amazing and all the staff are super friendly and attentive. Tonight we had another amazing server (Sarah). She made our random date night spectacular with her kindness and service! Ambiance is casual and super family friendly! Pacific Catch is definitely one of my top choices for dining out! read more

This place has many options with Asian & Hawaiian inspired dishes but misses the mark on getting the right flavors down. The sticky ribs ($16.5) were overly salted with no focused flavor & dry. It tasted just like soy sauce & no notable Korean flavors. I ordered the chirashi bowl ($27.95) which includes 3 types of ahi tuna. The portion was fair. The pickled cucumbers didn't have that usual sweet taste & didn't taste authentic. The pokes were heavily lacking flavor despite the marinade. I had to ask for extra sauces to mix in. I'd rather go to a fast casual poke restaurant & order a cheaper, tastier bowl there. The server was friendly & informed us of their Friday special. It was busy at the time we dined so she was slow in taking our orders but other than that, she was decently attentive. read more

Bree T. Was incredible. She was so patient and helpful. Insider Tip is to get the Chirashi bowl to share with another. It's huge and delicious. We also enjoyed the calamari. We tried the Riesling and Honig sauv blanc before we made our decision on the sweeter Honig. The atmosphere is great. Even when Bree T. Was busy, a manager checked up on us. Great service and great food. To the chef, please make the sushi rice ever so slightly less vinegary but it was a very good meal. read more

Had dinner w husband at Pacific Catch tonight. We had crab cakes to start. I ordered barramundi sea bass w zucchini and green beans, husband order 2 tacos w sea bass and steak. The sea bass were so over cooked it's like chewing cardboard, green beans were cold, chewy and in a massy very unpleasant yellow sauce, I think the green beans must be old, there's no freshness I can taste. Only edible item on plate was 3 2 inch grilled zucchini. The waiter, Joseph, was very nice, polite, and patient. I informed him that the green beans were awful, and the fish was way over cooked and cold. Husband's taco meat and fish were also cold. Joseph brought more zucchini. I then order salmon to replace the sea bass. The salmon came hot, at least, but again so over cooked, it's like chewing shoe laces.(How the chef can get a job at an upscaled seafood restaurant but does not know how to cook fish???) Obviously a very disappointing night for dinner. Joseph adjusted the bill to reflect that no charges for either fish, and the additional zucchini (it was supposed to replace the bad green beans, & why would I be charged to replace some none edible green beans in the first place). It was a bad dinner to end a bad day!!! read more

Pacific Catch is a seafood focused restaurant committed to sustainability and high quality food. This spot is located in the Tustin Market Place next to Snooze and Hopdoddy Burger. There is an abundance of parking spots in the plaza. Inside, they have a good amount of seating with a gorgeous interior and ambiance that can be described as a west coast boho meets islander type of vibe. Wifey and I stopped by for lunch around 12pm and were seated right away upon arrival. For their menu, most of it is seafood focused with different appetizers, salads, bowls, sushi, tacos, burgers, and more! We decided on trying the Wagyu Cheeseburger, the Hawaiian Salmon Bowl, and the Sparkling Blood Orange Lemonade to wash it all down. Everything that we had tasted delicious, healthy, and fresh! Overall, this spot is great for an elevated experience with the family, a date, or a hangout with the homies. All of the staff here are very friendly and welcoming. We will be back forsure next time to enjoy another wonderful and sustainable meal! read more

We went here for lunch and was excited to try it based on the reviews. Here's our experience: Ambiance= 10! The place was clean, airy, and had a Hawaiian trendy vibe. The restroom were clean and stocked. The outside patio was refreshing with shaded areas, fans for hot days, and heaters for those cool ones. Service= 9! The greeter and servers were friendly, accommodating, and the food was served within 15 minutes. Food= 2. We ordered calamari, the Salmon ( macadamia sauce) and the Kanpachi fish. My partner liked his Kanpachi. As for the Salmon, I had major stomach pains after eating it. I am not sure if the cause was the macadamia sauce or the spicy Tahini sauce. Whichever it was, after 5 minutes eating the food, I had a serious stomach ache. Price= 3. The ambiance of this place is nice, but the food was overpriced. read more

I made a reservation for Saturday night. When we came inside we noticed it was half empty. We were surprised because they had many open tables and it was not busy at all. There was only one woman ahead of us who had no reservation. Once the host greeted us it was a HUGE HUGE red FLAG. Her tone, her attitude and the way she approached us seemed like she had no experience being a host. I have eaten at many different levels of restaurants from fast-casual to Michelin. She seemed like she had no experience. We told her we had a reservation for tonight and asked if we could sit at a booth. She said there is no booth available. We pointed out that one of the booths was empty and she said that the lady in front of us was taking it even though she just walked in with no reservation. The host kept forcing us to sit at the bar or outside more than 10 times. Who even asks a customer to sit other places when we say no? Obviously she knew she did something wrong. We kept saying no and she refused to listen. It was very rude and frustrating because she was very pushy to have us sit outside. We had already selected indoor seating when making the reservation. Obviously she has no experience being a host and no hospitality experience at that. Why force someone to sit outdoors or at the bar when we choose standard? She brushed us off without any kind of apology. She did not even care about us or try to find any solution. We decided to leave because it is not worth it to complain or speak with a manager because they will do nothing. This restaurant obviously has no idea how to manage. When we walked out of the door she walked and checked the door to see where we were heading. Excuse me, it sounds very creepy to see where we left. I will warn everyone do NOT eat at this restaurant. There are many other restaurants out there that are welcoming and actually care about their customers. I am glad I did not spend my money here. read more

Service here is always great!...but the new menu change is CRAP!! This WAS my fav Resturant for years,- I loved the Serrano poke with wonton chips, I'd drive from far away for that AND the Trio Sushi Tacos....now the poke a fraction of the original size and no wonton chips!...then you also get rid of the Taco Trios?! Dumbest move ever. Also get better sparkling water. So bummed... won't be back to my fav place. read more

We were a huge party of 19 and they accommodated us meh. We literally had ONE waiter who had to do everything (no bussers helping and there was someone in the front doing nothing) and then this one waiter we have I found out later also had to wait on tables inside. So I will let the super slow service slide bc I can only imagine how much stress he had doing all that by himself. Hey pacific catch why don't u provide more staff? Anyways the menu looked super appetizing at first, but that's about it. It was lacking flavor, dry and overcooked. We got the pupu platter and the surf and turf ($50) and for that portion and dry lobster not worth it. Also the mashed potatoes it came with was not good at all, drenched in butter or oil or something. It was not worth taking a second bite. The place overall is very nice and clean and modern. I liked the cute photo op spots and they have a full bar. But for a weekday afternoon lunch I'd go somewhere else. My personal experience was not great. read more

We went to eat at the new Brea location, their place is beautiful and the food is amazing. My husband was disappointed on his order the food was good he just expected it to be different. The manager Eric came over to apologize, and sent him another dish free that my husband loved. That's a great manager. Our server Minnie was very good, my husband ordered a martini,, and she said " I'll wait to see if you like it". In all the times my husband has ordered a martini no one has waited to see if he liked it. I had the hot lobster roll DELICIOUS, and the guacamole amazing. Great dining experience read more

I do believe that successful restaurants have five key elements that work in harmony with each other: service, management, food quality, environment, and taste. If one of these is off, the rest suffer. Pacific Catch has four key elements that are nearly perfect. The restaurant is beautiful! One of the nicest in Irvine. I would say this could be a place where hundreds of patrons would wait in line to visit. It is just stunning! The service is great. The restaurant in managed very well. Everyone who works there seems happy and content. The food is healthy. The menu is designed well. It has lots of pictures which is what I like. Everything is five stars up to the last point: taste. The food was bland, cold, and seemed reheated like cafeteria food. It all started to go bad when our spicy Korean ribs arrived. Although we waited fifteen minutes for the ribs, they were room temperature. This leads me to conclude they were reheated and not cooked to order. They were bland. My chicken bowl was okay. The chicken was cooked, but smothered in a very salty teriyaki sauce. It was what I would expect at a cafeteria. The worst dish was our shrimp bowl. There are at least three levels or qualities of shrimp you can buy at the market: the five dollars a pound precooked shrimp, the seven dollars a pound shrimp with the heads on, and the ten or more dollar high quality shrimp. The bowl cost us $21.00 for five dollar shrimp. The shrimps were small and precooked. Ugh. The taste and quality of the food was inferior to what we should expect from a seafood restaurant. read more

We were a last-minute group of 10 who requested a table on the patio at 5 PM. Pacific catch came through 100% with that request. I haven't been to Pacific Catch in Tustin for several years. That was because the service at the bar was so awful. The bartenders were standing at the end of the bar and ignore all the patrons. My boyfriend and I decided to try it again and what a pleasant surprise. Not only was the food good on the bar menu, the service from Bree behind the bar was exceptional. I definitely would be telling the people that stopped going that has totally improved from what it was. So many of us stopped going and hopefully we can start again read more

I got the Latin Chimichurri bowl (small size). You can sub the base. The base had red quinoa and I switched it to half brown rice and half mixed greens. It was very filling! The staff had mentioned that the protein size stayed the same so I decided to get the small size bowl and honestly, it was a good amount of food that filled me up! The only thing is that this restaurant can get quite busy so I would suggest getting a reservation. And the wait for the food to a while. The restaurant was very big, the bathrooms were clean.
