Ah mai gawd, two words "Ama-zing!" Sarah Elaine served us again and pointed out some options on the menu and ever so evilly recommended the Tiki Old Fashion (slightly sweeter) and now the bar is risen for best experience in the future. I will never be able to enjoy another Old Fashion at another place again because of this. Saying it was good would be an injustice, it was Ambrosia served upon Olympus to Dionysus. Food wise we had the Pupu Platter and the Swordfish chimmichuri style with garlic eggplant, sushi rice and skirt stake. It was stupid goood! Our first time at PC with friends. Our server Matt made some really great recommendations and we loved every one of them! Great place to eat if you are craving seafood around the Tustin Market place area. Spacious for big groups. They have a kids menu which the kids enjoyed the fish and chips and I got the Miso Cod dinner which was a good dish that included furikake rice and string beans. The mai tai I would definitely order again -we even ordered the pitcher and the pineapple dessert cake was delicious! No problem with the ample parking lot located in the REI/snooze shopping area. She walked us through the menu, gave honest recommendations, and helped us mix-and-match a poke bowl that was exactly what we were craving. Her tips on spice levels and sauces were spot on. Food highlights: the poke bowl (super fresh), fish tacos that arrived hot and crispy, and those addictive Brussels sprouts and garlic noodles. Drinks were refilled before we even had to ask, and she timed the courses perfectly so the hot dishes stayed hot and the cold stayed cold. Little touches mattered too--checking for allergies, bringing extra napkins and plates unprompted, and boxing leftovers neatly with labels. We went for the start of OC restaurant week, the food was okay nothing stood out to me as, I need to recommend it to others and come back. We got calamari, the dinner for 2 for $100 prefixed menu which included an appetizer, two entrees and dessert. I made reservations for a Sunday evening very easily, we got seated and our hostess gave our menus, we noticed that we weren't given the Oc restaurant week menu, we asked our server and he said he didn't know about that promotion going on and we were just surprised. We saw the table next to us with that menu so we decided to just ask the hostess and eventually got that issue sorted. The service was terrible, our waitress (I think her name was Megan) forgot about us most of the time. Then Brought us a drink we didn't order. Then I noticed the people next to us didn't even have silverware, even after their food had come out. The lady at the table had to get up and grab some from the bar area. The food itself was ok, I'd give it a 4. I had the poke bowl, it was massive and tasted fresh. The vibe was meh. Seemed a bit uppity despite this being a casual place. The One good thing about the experience was the jala-piña margarita. The first one i ordered. This is a great spot for fresh seafood and is family friendly. The inside is spacious and beautifully decorated. We were able to be seated without a reservation on the weekend. We were so busy with the kids and were so hungry because we were having a late lunch that I forgot to take pictures, but everything was beautifully plated. The pupu platter was delicious and had a great assortment of their appetizers but it was a little expensive for the amount of food you get. My favorite item from it was the sea bass skewers, so next time I would just order that. The coconut shrimp was also pretty good. We also got the artic char which was similar to salmon and a sea bass skewer salad. Overall, everything was fresh and flavors were on point. Drinks: Sodas & iced tea but had to stop manager (?) to get refills after 30 min. The food runner & servers were flying by, couldn't catch them. Mains: Salmon ($29.95) with Hawaiian sea salt & citrus oil was cooked well but basic. I should've tried the chimichurri style. Was medium sized not too small & not large. Miso green beans had delicious flavor but overcooked & soggy. I like my green beans with a bit of a crunch. House salad with miso dressing was fresh & very good. Mixed catch ($24.95) of fried cod, coconut shrimp & calamari was plentiful. Served with 3 yummy sauces & fries. Would be open to trying again maybe not at a peak busy time. The poke here is the closest thing I've had to Hawai'i poke - I love the Serrano Ahi Poke with their wonton chips, which is what I come here for. In my opinion, there's nothing else on the menu that is "to die for", but overall, everything is pretty tasty and consistent! They also have fun and tasty crafted drinks here!
