Things started out badly as the manager walked up and took someone who had just walked in and seated them without consulting with the desk as to who was next. The service was the worst I have had anywhere. It took 15 minutes to get a drink order taken. We ordered our food at the same time. The drinks arrived 7 minutes later. The food was an additional 15 minutes. The food was not worth the $15.99 for Orange Chicken. It came with a "large" bowl of rice to be shared. It was not sufficient for 2 people but the waiter had disappeared so we had to make due. The highlight was the credit card was picked up and returned in 4 minutes. One star for the more upscale ambience and the drinks. But those things I can find in just about any decent bar. As a brand name, P.F. Chang's had so much potential to streamline Chinese food. It would be an understatement to say that that ship has sailed, capsized, and sank to the bottom of the food industry sea. This location in particular has committed one of my personal cardinal sins of dining: service so deliberately awful that you just can't help but take it personally. I came here with one other person on a weekday afternoon for an early dinner. The place was practically empty, except for a couple other small parties sitting nearby. Every time we asked our server for something, she glared at us as if we had just insulted her mother rather than asked for the check. Which we did, repeatedly. We could see that she wasn't busy because she was literally two tables down, chatting it up and laughing with the customers seated there. A complete 180 from the attitude we received. After 30 more minutes of waiting at a table full of dirty dishes, we finally got fed up and went up to the front register to pay. Thanks but no thanks for the horrific service, the time wasted here I will never get back, and the extraneous sodium intake with the bad aftertaste. Me and my buddy went there for lunch and we got the same thing fried rice with shrimp and chicken . Mine looked like I had shrimp and chicken from last day ( remember I went for lunch it's not like it was made a couple of hours ago , I'm 100% positive it was made yesterday and just reheated) my friend's looked fresh chickens fresh shrimp I just realized after like 5 min after I eat like 20% of the food .... Ordered lettuce wraps for pick up. Took one bite and realized it was completely charred, the entire dish tasted smoky burnt...like bad! I called the restaurant and the assistant manager not only did nothing to help me but said it would be 3:00 in the afternoon before the issue would even be addressed. I explained that it was my lunch hour and I was hungry now and I didn't wanna wait till after 3:00, he said there was nothing he could do. Seriously!?! I had not been here in like 2 years, and then all of a sudden I was here twice in a week. First for a lunch with coworkers and then for dinner and movie with friends. I had the idea that PF Changs is kind of pricey, but it seems all the meals are big enough to share, or have leftovers. Also, a huge bowl of hot and sour soup (my favorite) is less than $6, so now that I am paying attention to the bill it seems to be OK. During these 2 visits I tried the following: Hot an sour soup (yummy!) Egg drop soup (OK) Wontons, Kung pao shrimp (yummy) and chicken (OK) Some special thai coconut noodles with chicken (OK) Some thai pad something : ) - (OK) Szechuan pork (I think, yummy) and othe 2 chicken dishes I do not remember the name. Kind of sweet. Desserts: Tiramisu, chocolate cake, some chocolate cake with peanuts or peanut butter, lemon cake, and some sort of fried bananas with ice cream. My favorite is the lemon cake, but the fried bananas were very good as well. Warning - I was very disappointed that they do not have the shot glass desserts anymore... they were my favorites. : ( Servers were very good and friendly both times. I love PF Changs. So does my wife. Home of the chicken lettuce wrap. My wife and I always start with that. To complete our order we usually do chicken fried rice for her and brown rice for me. Followed by beef and broccoli then kung pao chicken. The kung pao chicken is one of my favorites. We dined in our hotel room so the order was for pickup. Ordering over the phone was a breeze. The order was correct and ready at the time of pickup. No waiting. No hassle. We were back in our room enjoying PF Changs in no time. Pretty happy with the "pick up" service. The food was the same quality as if we dined there. Everything was also packaged in quality plastic containers that could be reheated in a microwave if needed. The only knock is they forgot to give us dinnerware like forks or spoons. It was no problem though because our hotel had plenty in the first floor dining area. Overall, the quality of the food is what you would expect from a PF Changs. They have been Asian fusion before that was even a thing. One of my wife's and my favorite places to dine. Fine, solid P.F. Chang's location. The decor is pretty cool, love the large overhead lanterns. Service has been generally quick, friendly and efficient. Happy Hour wines this time (or in general) were passable but not outstanding. The Grenache was fairly decent, but the Cabernet had a distinct impression of incense, lol. Interesting. Enjoyed the spicy tuna roll and the hand-folded crab wontons were, in my opinion, excellent. This is a solid choice for your asian fix, even for a chain. It's worth a stop. read more

We attended the Peoria location at Arrowhead on Thursday for early dinner. My girlfriend was violently sick with diarrhea and vomiting for two days. I called the manager not for anything but to warn him of possibly bad products. We also found a cockroach on our table while there. The manager's response was very disappointing, he could not wait to hang up on my. Just to clarify, I don't want anything from them. Service was actually great but due to manager's response, I don't think I will ever eat there again. I know I am just one of millions of customers but I am one less. I had not been to a PF Chang's in a couple years so in the last 6 months I have went 2x's. Both experiences were the same. The food is horrible. Beef is like tar chips and chicken is like wood chips. Rice is good. Vegetables are rubbery. Not at all what I remember. Service was OK. I went tp the same restaurant both times (Goodyear AZ). Recently mu kids that live in Tucson AZ went to PF Chang's in Tucson and they had the same experience. Food not good. As if it had been pre made and sitting for a while. We order from here through Postmates quite often and the food is always very good. They don't have an options on Postmates to add sides of rice so I always have to call and hope they remember to add it and so far I've been in luck! A girlfriend and I were in the area and decided to have an early lunch. We are no stranger to P.F. Chang's and this was our first visit to this location. We were one of the first tables to be seated when they opened and were not exactly warmly welcomed by our server. In fact throughout the meal it seemed we were an inconvenience. I ordered the shrimp tempura bowl with vegetables and iced tea, and my friend ordered sushi, Mongolian beef and a fried rice platter. We asked for separate checks for what we both had ordered. Considering it was early in the day and not overly busy it did take quite a while to get our food. While sitting in our large booth I couldn't help but notice that the walls were GREASY and FILTHY! (they just opened for the day) Once the food arrived it didn't seem to live up to other location's experiences. My tempura bowl was over fried and bland and when my friend went to use the soy sauce on the table for her sushi the container was spotty and clearly DIRTY. On the rare occasion we saw our server my friend had asked for a clean bottle of soy sauce, he said "sure" took the dirty bottle put it on the empty table next to us and gave us theirs (??) My friend's beef was tough and chewy and she was so put off by the soy sauce bottle and walls she barely touched the rest of her meal. Throughout our meal we could see/partially hear a group of employees standing around talking and the only thing I could think of is "if you have time to lean you have time to clean" Our server arrived and said he would divide up our check and be right back. He did divide it up but it was all wrong. We waited and waited for him to come back but he was MIA again. We decided we were done at that point and just exchanged cash with one another to make up the difference. A gentleman in a tie who I presume was a Manager of some sort came over and asked us how everything was. Well we actually told him and showed him the soy sauce container and the wall and all he could say was "I am sorry that shouldn't be like that" "I am sorry that shouldn't be like that" then he proceeded to disappear never to be seen again. She would always check on us to make sure we were well taken care of. I had the lettuce wraps the chicken was not flavorful at all, and brought out with 1/4 of iceberg lettuce! WhT never have i had a wrap with iceberg. We visited this upscale version of the brand in Happy Valley. This location is special because it's closer to the company's corporate HQ. They have a unique decor here, ad they also are the site of test marketing of new menu ideas. We had the Tempura shrimp roll sushi. It was fresh and delicious. Then I got the chicken steamed dumplings and some of the chicken looked pink, but the sauce was great. For the record. This review is for a visit I made about 60 days ago. I wrote it when it happened and I am just posting it now. This was a date night with my wife. We decided to come here. I ordered the $24 Surf and Turf and I am still trying to figure out what the hell I just got. The "filet pieces" were dry and absolutely flavorless. I mean, not even salt. The "lobster," which was more like langoustine, was cold, chewy and flavorless. The shrimp was edible. The dish came with no sauce, no rice or noodles and there were about 3 pieces of each protein in the dish. Couldn't have been more than 6 oz of surf and turf combined. The dish was dry, cold and flavorless. The potatoes and vegetables were mushy and over cooked. My wife got a curry noodle dish. It was cold and it had tomato in it!?!? I've never seen tomatoes used in Chinese food. Maybe that's the "new thing." I don't know, but it was disgusting with or without the tomatoes. Service was ok. Nothing special. Except for seating us right in the middle of the dining room in between 12 people. I know you want to go home but we aren't cows and we are about to drop $100. No matter, we dealt with it. In conclusion, I have never eaten at PF Chang's and I now know why. Please don't charge $24 for a dinner and serve it the way you did. "Lobster" and "Tenderloin" don't deserve to be treated the way you treated them. I don't really know what I ate, but the only reason why I choked it down was because of the price. I don't like to send food back, in case you're wondering. I just can't trust it after I do. Just a personal preference. I would rather just not return. Which is exactly what is going to happen.
