Blooming onion.
Mike J.

I have been going here for a few years for lunch with my senior parents who can be picky. We just recently went for dinner. Food was great. Price was good. It's a great place to get great comfort food. I could tell it's run well. There was a water spill on the floor. I pointed it out to the server. The manager instantly came over and got on his hands and knees to clean it. Like I said we'll run place. All the staff were super friendly and attentive. Keep up the great work it's appreciated.

NEW Bloomin' French Onion Sirloin*

I was inspired by my family, who visited an Outback earlier this week. It's too bad the weather was not so great today, but it didn't stop me from having some blooming onions. I don't remember when I last had them, perhaps 10 years ago. I wish today the blooming onions were more tender and less salty. The steak and pasta were okay. I think this will be just a once-a-while thing.

The food is always excellent, but I should say that the center cut sirloin may be reasonably priced, because of the thin line of gristle that's present in most pieces. The tenders were excellent, moist inside. Service is always exceptional. The bar makes good drinks but seems not to know how to make a simple, classic dry martini. I often receive it with brine and have even received it with vodka. FYI: A classic dry gin martini is 2 oz gin, 1 oz dry vermouth, stir with ice, strain & serve.

Bread & Beer

We went in for an early dinner and sat at the bar. The restaurant was pretty empty. Service was friendly, but kinda slow. I don't care how much food you order, get the bread! Outback and Cheesecake Factory have the best bread. You can't go wrong with a bloomin onion. Just ask for extra sauce. Steaks were cooked perfectly, exactly how we requested. The Mac and cheese is delicious. My husband's shrimp looked a little burnt, but he said they were still good. Beer is always cold. The free bread is always warm. I'll always come back!

My coworkers are content with eating Five Guys for dinner, I'm craving a glass of Caymus and a good steak. After some research, I came across Prime 94 SteakHouse and Grill. Walking in, the large neighborhood bar is to the left and the dining rooms are to the right. I'm solo so I'm escorted to a small, corner two top table. The waiter starts telling me about the specials. After he was finished, I told him a want a 16oz Ribeye and a glass of Caymus. No bread basked needed. Also, can you throw on one or two long hots? Yes sir! Now this is what I would eat at home. I'd buy a nice steak with a good glass of wine. Did I just describe my last meal before I head up to the pearly gates? Yeah.. Prime 94 SteakHouse makes a good steak. The cook was perfect, it was a little fatty but that's the flavor! The french fries are something similar to a diner fry, they were really good as well. I took a piece of steak, a small slice of the long hot, mmm mm! Prime 94 SteakHouse isn't a fancy steakhouse. There was a large table in front of me, I'm assuming it was grandma and her sisters along with a family of four. The aunts were asking, I'm assuming an 19 year old girl about her college, she was giving one word answers. Prime 94 SteakHouse, it's a neighborhood spot that's serving up some good food. If I lived here, this restaurant would be in my dining rotation.

Some cocktails have special pricing and they also offer bar bites at decent prices. The food was awesome this last visit. With our cocktails, we scarfed down the steak sliders, chicken sliders, Korean chicken bites, meatballs, chips and dip, plus some shrimp. All of the food was outstanding. The steak sliders were juicy and had pink in the middle, which is tricky to achieve with sliders. The Korean chicken bites are sooo good and loved by everyone. Really, nothing was bad. Cocktails were all great too, including my $9 Olive A Martini's. Someone had an espresso martini and couldn't stop talking about it... even the next day. Our server was also the bartender and did a great job tending to us, even while we were all seated at the outdoor tables. We'll definitely be back again!

We started coming to Fleming's early into the summer and our first thought was, "Why did it take so…read morelong to come here?!" We don't typically go to chain restaurants, so weren't sure what to expect, but are SO glad we didn't let snobby preconceived notions get in the way of what's become a regular Saturday spot. First, the space is gorgeous - so many windows so it's incredibly bright with a separate bar and dining area. We are bar people, so gravitate towards the huge bar - and a plus of Fleming's is that all of the area around the bar (tables/high tops) plus the huge outdoor space gets bar service and access to the bar menu/happy hour. Okay - the happy hour!!! It's EVERY day from 3-6:30 PM with some of the best deals I've ever seen. They have select $9 specialty cocktails (a tequila based one, take on an old fashioned, variation of a G&T, and a dirty martini), $9 glasses of wine, and deals on small bites. The menu is also constantly rotating by the season with some mainstays and things that have changed out. Regardless, it is an absolute deal. A great happy hour and small plates is obviously a huge draw, but what keeps us coming back to Fleming's is the people. From the moment you arrive, there's someone to open the door for you and greet you at the front without fail. The bartenders are incredible - friendly, attentive, great at making drinks for what becomes a PACKED bar, conversational. We genuinely love sitting at the bar and chatting with the team (sometimes for too long, sorry guys!). All in all, Fleming's will continue to be a regular spot, not just for the value of the social hour (and just all around great food and drinks when you step outside of that more limited menu), but mainly for the incredible staff and the feeling of appreciation you get as a guest at Fleming's.

If you don't want your entrées coming out with the appetizers, just give them a heads up, because the kitchen moves fast here. We started with the mushroom dish and a hearty soup...both full of flavor and the perfect start to the meal. Then came the star of the night: the lamb chops. Perfectly seasoned, cooked just right, and melt-in-your-mouth good. Everything we tried was fresh and satisfying, the kind of food that makes you want to go back the next day. The service was on point- Friendly and attentive, and the whole space has this quirky, cozy feel, like you're sitting in your grandma's living room with its mix of chairs and warm, homey vibe. It's also BYOB, which is always a win. We brought a bottle of wine that paired perfectly with the meal. Overall, Butcher's Grill is a must-visit if you're in the area. One of my favorite touches is that they re-chill my martini glass halfway through my drink--it's those little details that make the experience feel special. The complimentary popover bread is absolutely to die for and worth the visit all by itself. We also loved the crispy Wagyu dumplings--they were packed with flavor and perfectly cooked. The burger was cooked exactly as ordered, and the Brussels sprouts were outstanding. The only disappointment was my filet mignon, which was unfortunately overcooked. It was the only miss of the evening, but everything else was so enjoyable that it didn't overshadow the overall experience. Great food, excellent service, and a fantastic atmosphere. Our event was in the back room, where tables were set up along with a seating chart. Service was attentive and professional, but I felt like the food just didn't live up to the "fanciness" of the venue. For my appetizer, I chose the Lobster Bisque, which was pretty good. I liked the creaminess and flavor, but didn't love that it only had a single chunk of lobster. For my entree, I figured the Filet Mignon would be my safest bet at a steakhouse. It wasn't bad but lacked flavor, as it was only seasoned with salt and pepper. My "medium rare" and my partner's "medium" were also cooked exactly the same, which I found odd. My mother's Chicken Parmesan, however, was much better! For dessert, everyone was given the Roots Warm Butter Cake. This one also wasn't up my alley - kind of plain and forgettable. Overall, I can't complain too much about a free dinner, but would not return on my own dime.

Unfortunately, my overall experience was very disappointing due to poor service. Our server, a shorter male who I believe was named Ricardo, took our order. I ordered the lobster mac and cheese and yuca fries. After waiting 25 minutes, I asked a staff member serving steak to check on the order, and he agreed. After 45 minutes, I followed up again with another staff member, a woman with reddish hair in a ponytail, and asked her to check with the kitchen. After waiting over an hour with no update, when she passed back, I informed her that I no longer wanted the food, and she acknowledged my request. Throughout this entire time, our server never once checked in on us. When he finally came to the table, I confirmed that my order had been canceled, and he said yes. He then proceeded to tell us that cooking takes time and that we needed to be patient. I dine out regularly and understand reasonable wait times, but the lack of communication and follow-up was unacceptable. The comment made by our server felt dismissive and unprofessional, especially given the circumstances. Overall, this experience did not meet expectations, and I will likely just stick to New York in the future.
