I don't think the staff in the kitchen know how to read. Why is it that our order is ALWAYS wrong? Specifcallg at this location. What is going on? Whether it be take out or dine in, something is always wrong or missing or out of stock. Saddest part of the chain I've ever had the displeasure of dining at. Aside from that, the booths are filthy. Tables sticky. Always scraps on the floor and under tables. Your manager and regional should be ashamed to call this acceptable. read more

So this is a little bit of a different review for me. My rating is purely on the ambiance and the service. The food is really not to my taste and I don't really want a lot of people's lives wasted poo-poohing the food rather than focus on the good time that I had with my best friends and my godson. We did the call ahead and were seated almost immediately. The hostess was very cool and had a little booster seat for my godson and our beverages were tended to within five minutes of meeting our waiter. He was more than accommodating with our appetizers and food and were brought out within half an hour. Even though we stayed a lot longer than we should have, we were checked in on plenty of times, waters topped off, checked on and made sure that we had a pleasant stay. Definitely recommend this place for families with kids or just looking to watch some sports at a bar. Pretty nice establishment all around with plenty of parking. read more

Wow, didn't realize I hadn't been here in 4years, I must say I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. Our server Josh was very professional and informative and very efficient. My 8 ounce loin was delicious with a side of loaded baked potato. The French onion soup was fantastic. For Sunday afternoon it was fairly quiet, however as we left at 5:30 it did start to get a little crowded. I will be making the trip back here and it won't be four years. The cocktail wallaby Darned was a good cocktail and only $7.00 bucks. Also the Boozy cherry limeade was tasty. I went with the Aussie 3 course meal which was very reasonable. Went for my birthday dinner not happy. The Cesar salad was very dry had to ask for more dressing.I asked for my porterhouse steaks medium for my son and I and both came out rare.Sent back but both were very fatty cuts of meat. I couldn't eat it because I had to pick out the fat. The manager did give me 2 steak meals to go home with to compensate me but I'm still not happy .I think I will go to longhorn.I have dined there many times and always get great service and excellent cut of porterhouse steaks read more

My neighbors, my husband & I use to go to the Outback probably once a week. Slowly the food went downhill along with the hospitality. That was at least 15-20 years ago! WELL.....GREAT NEWS! My husband & I decided to go & try the Outback again and we were pleasantly surprised! We had Tony as our waiter and he was fantastic! We had mentioned to him about coming back after all those years and he told Kim (sorry forgot her title!) who came over and welcomed us back, which I thought was very sweet. The waiter Tony, Kim, and all of the staff were really wonderful! The food was delicious, cooked to perfection! Evidently a lot of changes have been made and all for the better! We ordered food tonight but was very expensive for the size. everything was like half of what they used to be in size. A 6oz steak was just below 4oz (see picture). The food was also stale. Bery disappointed of what used to be one of my favorite places to visit. not sure if will go back or order form there for now. read more

I received an email from the Managing Partner at the Wappinger Falls, New York Outback Steakhouse on 6/2/25, apologizing that my experience was "unfortunate. I wanted to personally apologize to you to regain your patronage and confidence at my location", and asked that I reach out to him. I called him back and left him a voicemail message and a follow up email to his original email expressed my disappointment with being falsely accused! I received a return phone call from him, at which time, at the same time he apologized, he inadvertently called me a liar by stating that he "spoke with his Managers and none of them were aware of any situation" which I described. I informed him that I received seven missed phone calls from his establishment and in fact forwarded him my call log from my phone carrier. I also told him that not only was there another young woman there who witnessed the money exchange, they have a camera right at the to go and he personally can review their footage; in addition to the call log that I forwarded him. He noted that he would look into it assuring that "it won't happen again". He also stated that it is their policy that if someone left without paying, someone wouldn't be contacted once they leave the store. I emphasized that not only did I pay, I WAS contacted as indicated by my call log. He stated that he would follow up with me within a few days; well, it's 6/16/25 and he HAS NOT followed up, nor has he even tried to make it right!! So much for trying to "regain [my] patronage and confidence at [his] location!! Such disrespect and disregard!! This is such a shame! I'm disgusted by this whole experience and the Manger didn't make do on what he said he was going to do! read more

I'm not the type of child to write 3 star reviews but... here we go, went here for a friends birthday and went with her parents, our waiter was very nice and sweet to us and recommended different steak to us, I ordered the Alfredo pasta while my friend parents went and ordered there food following with my parents, food took 30+ minutes to arrive the fried chicken was bland and had no seasoning (don't recommend) while my pasta had no taste ( and I'm sure I wasn't sick ) I was pretty disappointed for the long wait with my food for it to not taste good while my friends parents and my parents agreed , do not recommend for big occasions, will not come again :c read more

I have tried to give Outback a chance. It used to be very good in the late 90's. We used to come to this location often. However, they just can't cook a steak right. Order mine usually medium well but last time I ordered it that way it came out like a hockey puck black around all sides and top, and all grey throughout inside. I sent it back and asked for it just medium and they again sent me a char black steak with brown throughout, not a drop of blood or tinge of pink to be found. This happened the last two times for me and one time for my spouse where they are overcooking the steak. Found out from manager it's cuz they cook the steak in a machine. I had to suggest they turn down or check the settings and they looked at me like ai was being crazy. How do you not see your steak cooking is a big problem. Reviews prove it's happened to others and they were told the same thing- the machine cooks it. Well the machine sucks! It's just not worth the hassle when you can go to Texas Roadhouse or Longhorn and get a properly cooked steak and better meal for the same price or less, with usually better customer service. I don't understand why this chain is sacrificing the customer experience and food quality to drop so much when they're being told the issue is the overcooking of steak and they could fix the issue but they won't. read more

We tried this a long time ago and hated it.... Decided to try it again. Our experience is these are Very cheap cuts of steak for expensive steak prices. Texas Roadhouse is better. If this is the food they serve in Australia, the country should return to being a penal colony, because I cannot envision punishment worse than eating here. I went with a friend and we were seated in a booth only feet from the bathrooms. This might be a plus for those with prostates the size of a casaba, but for us it meant getting a nice strong whiff of what was going on in there as people opened the doors to go in or out. This was not as bad as it sounds, though, because if it spoiled my appetite then that would only mean eating less of the rotten food. As an appetizer, we split the chicken wings, which I'm guessing were flavored by the cook using whichever spices were closest to him at the time. I've probably had worse wings at some time in my life, but I honestly can't recall when that would have been. Both of us ordered steaks medium and they came out nearly raw. On principle, I don't send things back because I know enough folks who worked in restaurants to feel apprehensive about how that would work out. I have enough of my own mucus, thanks. My friend would eat rat intestines au poivre if he were hungry enough, so he finished his. I took most of mine home in the hopes that I can rescue it by doing this weird thing called cooking it. Apparently, it involves using heat or something. The baked potato and vegetables were fine, at least. And our waitstaff was both pleasant and attentive, so no complaints there. It was a Friday night and the place wasn't very busy, perhaps owing to it being Good Friday, but also possibly owing to the likelihood that a better meal could probably be had by dumpster diving. read more

The last time I had been here was almost a year earlier, for an event. That event did what it was supposed to do, showcase what was new and improved on the menu, and give me incentive to come back. Dinner here was, overall, enjoyable, though it felt like the "A game" they gave us previously has dropped down to maybe a "B-plus game" at this point. Of the items we had for dinner, the one thing which has remained just as good is the shrimp. If you like shrimp, you might want to order a lot of it. I only learned, after reading the small print on the drink menu, that there was a happy hour going on, and I'm surprised the staff didn't mention it. Usually that's something you want to tout to get folks to buy those drinks. I was again surprised by my drink, the "old and new fashioned" for the extra, unexpected, ingredient in it, seltzer. It's not that I was short-changed at all for the drink, but it felt like they unnecessarily added seltzer to get the drink to fit into an 8oz. tumbler. Our other drink, the blackberry sangria, was good but unexpectedly sweet. Our steaks came out cooked to order. My strip steak had about 4 bites of inedible material, a combination of gristle and fat. The sirloin steak was much better. While the vegetables looked like they were cooked to perfection, my broccoli was overcooked (for me) and the florets were trending toward mushy. If you like your broccoli crisp, pass here and opt for the green beans or mixed vegetables. Service was casual but generally good. But their idea of cleaning a table after customers leave appears to be wiping it once with a towel. Don't let a lot of cars in the parking lot turn you away. The food here is QUALITY for the chain bro, and you should all know by now how much I am against chains. But here at least they use local meat and give the leftover food to 'soup kitchens' and shelters which I am 110% on board with. Anyway, they were doing massive construction in here when I went early Dec 2018 and I'm not sure why b/c I liked the older set up that wasnt't so open space. Whatever tho Food was good as always, server mad friendly, food came fast and drinks came out fairly timely too. I just didnt like that there was one single bathroom for the whole restaurant because they were re-doing the other. Multiple people warned me about going to this place, but I thought best to make my own judgement and was craving a steak. Four parties (one had 15-20 people) were served before me. They were provided water and took down drink/starter orders. I was likely sat down 10-15 minutes before all of the parties and was only given a menu. After which I asked the hostess, which she did not have an answer (literally said no words and just have a blank panicky look). Not only was my 22 oz porterhouse nearly raw but it was also at least 50% grizzle -- even on the filet side. Which i found after letting it rest... given the grey band and lack of skill whoever made it had, it seemed like the safer bet than having them refire it and over cook it. Second time this has happened in a short period. First time was a ribeye i sent back just to receive a moderately less grizzly one with just as much sinew. Maybe make sure your cooks know they can't throw a steak on the highest grill setting for 30 seconds and expect it to be cooked. Service was excellent though... But I'm never ordering anything other than a Filet or Prime Rib again at this location as this was the biggest rip off and worst steak I've ever had at a restaurant -- bar none. read more

This is the third time I ordered New Zealand lamb chops here,and They are always excellent! The Chef has always prepared them correctly " medium cooked " and the sides of mashed potatoes and chopped salad were very complimentary. The only missing item was a touch of mint jelly. When we pulled up to restaurant it seemed like it was closed. Strangely dark exterior makes it appear closed but it was absolutely open for business. Even though it's a chain restaurant the dining experience was better than expected. Started with the famed Bloomin Onion which is always crispy with a great onion flavor. Not overpowering but just right. Ordered Rum punch drinks and that was the only subpar item, too much soda not really a punch style drink. Wasn't about to be adventurous so stuck with water rest of the night. Oh yes, nice warm loaf of brown bread was at the table as we sat down. So now it's time to order the main course. I choose 8oz Sirloin medium rare with Coconut Shrimp and Mashed Potatoes. I was almost going to ask for steak sauce but honestly I didn't need the sauce! This steak was juicy, tender and had really good flavor. I was amazed on how good it was and the mashed potatoes were tasty as well. Our waiter was John and I like that they introduce themselves upon greeting you. This simple gesture is lost or overlooked at most establishments. I want to know whom I'm dealing with good or bad. I un wrapped the foil around the celery sticks and they were dirty literally has dirt on them and brown liquid coming out of one . First time for everything right!? Although they're a chain establishment their food and service goes further than expected. I was craving some red meat with a splash of seafood & that's exactly what I got. My boyfriend and I ordered 2 appetizers, he the baked potato soup and I the Seared Pepper Ahi Tuna. The tuna was definitely sushi grade and seared absolute perfection, paired with a creamy ginger-soy sauce that I'd definitely eat on anything. I can't really speak on the soup because I didn't give it a try. Next up the entree a juicy 6oz filet mignon cooked just the way I like it(medium well), a delicious meaty lobster tail sprinkled lightly with a little obey, a baked potato with all the fixing and fresh seasonal veggies(carrots, squash, zucchini) seasoned just right. Everything was just perfect & if I do say so, I couldn't have made it any better. I stuck with what I knew and soaked everything up with a Blue Moon Belgian White beer. I was wayyyy too stuffed to even dare try any desserts. Our waitress was super attentive but never overbearing. I loved every moment of my first Outback experience. So my family went to use another gift certificate for a friends birthday! We made it hate at 2:00om on a Thursday afternoon and the place was empty, the wait staff was taking their lunch breaks on the open tables. One of a dozen chicken wings came out raw, one of the steaks came out raw instead of medium well the blooming onion had too much flower in it and the bill was still way to expensive. Greasy, dried up shredded beef, no cheese and no cheese sauce served on side as the menu stated. Service was terrible, never once came to see if we needed anything else or ask how are food was. Went with friends for a steak dinner, we've been to the one on 6th Ave in Manhattan and were always more than satisfied with the food, service, and decor. No exception up here. I tried the rib eye medium rare, their shrooms (sautéed mushrooms), and mashed potatoes. Next to me ordered the sirloin and shrimp combo, asparagus, and salad, my other companion had the prime rib, baked potato and salad. All the meals came at the same time and as ordered. We weren't counting calories. Since I was driving I had a Coke, they had the Down under margarita and a sangria; little works of art that they said were terrific. The dark bread is addicting and since the butter whipped you're not ripping the bread apart. The entrees were plated very well and more than sufficient, for us. Although when we arrived, about an hour earlier, the place was pretty empty, by about 5:30 it was filling up rapidly. We were not hurried so they could turn the table. I hadn't been to an Outback in a long time and I can honestly say I will live the rest of my life without ever going again. We went there on the afternoon of May 22nd. The waitstaff was friendly but it was clear that no one in the kitchen had a clue about food preparation. Two of us ordered steak. A NY strip cooked medium and a filet cooked medium rare. Both came out well done. Not that it mattered - my NY strip was the toughest piece of meat I'd ever eaten. You'd think it would be more tender since it was sitting in a pool of water on the plate as they never drained the water from the spoon when they added the vegetables. One of us ordered a burger and fries. The fries showed up only as we were completely done and ready to leave. Two of us got the chicken Caesar salad that was so bad they couldn't be eaten. The server inquired if anything was wrong with them when we declined having them wrapped to go. What was there to say when crap like this makes its way to the table. I guess there's no sense mentioning the greasy mess that was the once great signature appetizer - the blooming onion. I have to think the fryer wasn't up to temp for it to have come out like that.
