    ANGEL HAIR PESTO
    Jennifer G.

We arrived for a late dinner after traveling all day. Husband ordered lasagna and I ordered the angel hair pesto. Both dishes were delicious! The bread and our salads very good as well. Fresh crisp greens, red onions and tomatoes. Garlic knots and sesame crusted bread hot and delicious. Awesome service very quick and attentive. You walk through the bar where there were many locals sitting enjoying meals. We sat in the dining room which was cozy and quiet. Highly recommend this place we will be back.

    16 oz Ribeye steak

So had dinner on a Thursday night and only a few tables were in use. I did notice 7 orders for pickup so maybe they do a good take out business. Started with baked clams oreganato 6 smaller clams arrived but had decent flavor. Oh before I forget the bread basket had 2 garlic knots and some Italian bread which I thought was cool. Now we ordered Chicken Masala over angel hair pasta and a 16 oz ribeye special with roasted potatoes and sautéed mushrooms. OK so both mains were delicious but the steak was cooked as requested medium rare. No A1, no extra sauce nothing it was seasoned perfectly as were the roasted potato wedges. The picture doesn't show how good it was. Our server was nice and the food came out in pretty good time. The review would have gotten 5 stars but I get a little pissed when certain things happen. 1-sorry to say a pesky fruit fly buzzed around us and was disposed of in mid flight. 2- charging $4 for using a debit card? If cards are a problem then put up a sign saying cash only. Or out the $4 in the menu prices but I didn't like that after paying $113 for 2 people to eat. 3- don't be afraid to ask the prices of the specials. My ribeye steak special was $50, which is fine because the steak was awesome. Maybe it's me but these little things irk me. Anyway food was good and basically had the dining room to ourselves.

    Luke Warm Lasagna

Very disappointed in the cook on Sunday at 3:30 PM. January 15, 2023. I ordered a Lasagna. It came out Luke Warm. I called the server over and reported it was cold. They sent it back to the kitchen. It came out about five minutes later, and again it was Luke Warm. How hard is it to put in the oven and warm it up. The cheese was not bubbling. I asked to take it home. What a disappointment!

We love Antonella's in Hyde Park. The food is delicious and his veggie pizza with no cheese (allergy) is the best ANYWHERE. We order food for us, for the guys working on the house, we cater our parties from them. We usually eat in but even during the quarantine, we've been ordering takeout pizza. Give this place a try and say hi to Sal.

Homemade Italian fare in a strip mall. We went for lunch, and the quality of the food, and the large selection of dishes made us want to come for dinner. Not much to look at either inside or outside, but as they say, you can't eat ambience. It's all about the food. And the food is five stars.

Amazing! This place is great!! (When they don't run out of clams!) Came here on a Sunday when they first opened to place a decent order for about 8 people, but sadly they were out of clams. We ordered the shrimp scampi, zuppa di muscles, zuppa di pesce, margherita pizza, calamari pasta and some other dishes as well as garlic bread and knots*. Each dinner size portion also comes with salad to complete your meal. Food was great! We also enjoyed the food catered. The baked clams that we couldn't have were amazing and ran out in no time and the rest of the food was on par with our first experience. Eggplant rollatini/parmagiana, shrimp scampi, stuffed mushrooms, penne, chicken marsala and more. Sometimes it's hard to make larger portions of food still taste good, but Antonella's did a great job. The staff is also very friendly and helpful. Would definitely come back here again if I'm up in that area! *some garlic knots and regular italian bread come with the meal, but if you want more, they sell them 6 for $1.75.

It slightly pains me to write this review, as my first experience at Cosimo's was soooooo good…read more Let's get on with it tho. We visited on the Friday before V-day, the house was packed around 18:30. The wait was 45 mins which wasn't too bad for a Friday night. We decided to wait in the lobby after trying to find a cozy waiting spot near the bar and missing. My wife attempted to order me a mocktail, but of course the bar was crazy busy. When the bartender finally acknowledged her, the mocktail requests obviously threw the bartender for a loop because I ended up with watered down ginger beer and a sprig of mint. My advice for anyone looking for a virgin drink at this bar would be to order a club soda with lime and call it a night. We were seated at the 45 min mark, and were escorted to the packed bar, where they have some exterior tables for diners. My seat was in the middle of the couch split, which I found mighty uncomfortable so we opted to request a seat in the main dining room, which the staff happily obliged. With dinner we ordered hot tea and were given lukewarm water and a choice of Stash teas. Our beverage experience here was very disappointing. The calamari arrived and may have been the only highlight, although we didn't find it to have that fresh calamari texture. My wife ordered a ravioli with mushroom, and felt the pasta and veggies were just swimming in butter. I ordered my steak medium and it was okay, but the juices from the greens made the croquettes soggy, and unenjoyable. The server did his best, and all the staff here are so kind. Coulda been an off night but I doubt we'll be back anytime soon. The Mocktail Madam.

This added so much to the overall experience. When eating there remember this is a learning environment so overlooking or being patient is important. The Calamari was perfectly fried with a slightly spiced tomato sauce. 19/10 Since the day was cold and rainy, I ordered the Tomato soup special. Creamy with well balanced basil notes from a basil oil and whole leaf. 9/10 The student who waited on us recommended a sandwich from the walk-in side of the dining area. The kitchen was gracious and agreed to make it for my husband. It was the star of the meal! Made from the sourdough pizza dough, it was layered with a perfectly fried chicken cutlet, arugula, fresh heirloom tomatoes, melted cheese, and a sauce!! The layers of flavors did exploded with each bite and was the best sandier have had in a long time! 10/10 The PEI Mussels were underwhelming despite the generous portion. What would have made the dish is more sauce, 7/10 The Zeppoli's were superb and again the recommendation to add a side of vanilla bean ice cream was spot on. Warm, pillowy and rich chocolate flavor enhanced by a warm milk chocolate sauce. Add a layer of vanilla ice cream and chefs kiss! 10/10

3.5 stars for the experience. Love the idea of coming up students working and gaining experience…read more The prix fix menu is a great value though and food came out fairly fast. However, I thought I would enjoy the food more than I did, the mains were a little bland and underseasoned. I don't think I would return, although I do want to try the bakery at some point as the desserts were my favorite part.

Plus coming here worked nicely- bc on this particular day, another rest'nt we wanted to go to ended up being temporarily closed for renovations, End C. is inviting with the bar off to the right and a few tables. The main dining room on the left gets cozier with dim lighting, has a romantic feel and even a grand piano that really adds to the vibe. My halibut with a tomato-"lobster sauce" was nice- but I wish the sauce had more of a lobster flavor or had some lobster chunks since that's how it was described. Hubs enjoyed his medium ribeye though. The service was great from start to finish and I loved the strawberry sorbet palate cleanser- such a nice touch. The cocktails totally knocked me off my feet and definitely one of the highlights of the night.
