The Sky's the Limit!

'No Rules, Just Right' has come full circle. In a great way! Buckle up and come along for a long-winded ride... I was one of those, like some other reviewers, that had experienced multiple problems over separate visits at this location. Service failures, ordering issues and food quality concerns. This really bothered me because I've been going to Outback since the very first location opened in Tampa. Only recently did I find another Outback location that brought back some promise of my ultimate return as a frequent customer. And the door to healing was opened. My return has also been tied to bribery! Yes, bribery! I received an Outback gift card for my birthday in June. That 'bribed' me into taking the plunge and returning to ANY Outback after a 3-year hiatus. Happy to report that return engagement went splendidly, although it was at a different store, as I mentioned earlier. The bribes continued. I got ANOTHER gift card for Christmas! I'll not mention the person who was giving me these, but I assure you he does NOT work for the chain. He just knows what his dad likes. Wait! I just gave my benefactor away. LOL Yesterday, I was REALLY craving something Outback. That dang gift card was burning a hole in my pocket. But I did NOT want to drive a long distance to get some Bloomin' satisfaction. And that, my friends, is how I ended up back in the Spring Hill saddle again. As I approached the front door, I took a deep breath, stood tall and walked in from the cold/hot/cold/hot Winter-what? weather our area teases us with. My worries were quickly allayed as I was warmly greeted then seated. First impressions can make or break a business. Any damage done in those initial moments is hard to reverse. Luckily for this Outback, the bubbly Anne Marie was in charge of dusting off the negatives and putting a shine back on my mind. The boo was slowly turning to Woo Hoos.... I tested fate, in a way, which ultimately could have shattered this dream. I had ordered a Special on my first/latest visit to the other Outback. That Special was not available, but a very similar one was. The current Special is the Sirloin and Tasmanian Shrimp. I didn't want the spiciness of the current Special, so Anne Marie listened patiently and wrote down exactly what I was looking to order. She got it right! So, here's another NO Rules Just RIGHT! I am here to tell you that my meal was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! I had a Med Rare 8-ounce Sirloin with the melty goodness of seasoned butter dripping over the edge. Add some Bloomin' Shrimp (Think Bloomin' Onion with Shrimp sweetness!) Round the meal out with a nice salad and a loaded baked potato and I'm back home. All for just $18.99 on Special. My meal was perfect. Anne Marie was extraordinary. I was impressed that I had several visits from two managers. The Front of the House Manager Colleen as well as from Belle. All of this combined to make me excited for an encore!

What's supposed to be a med rare 18oz bone in ribeye but half was all fat and definitely not med rare. I also ordered a chicken sandwich that was so sad looking, literally had four slivers of lettuce one tomato and two pickles on it and they put the sweet potato in with my sandwich and fries with with steak that got all soggy and wet from the steak juice. I don't understand when you place a to go order it seems like you don't deserve to have quality food. I'm sure if I was eating IN this would not have been served to me. Unfortunately this is the third time something like this happens. Last time we were told to bring one meal back and they would fix it so we could have a great steak. Oh geez thanks and the other meals just get cold while you make that one fresh. If you guys would actually take pride in the food you serve and package maybe customers wouldn't have complaints. Do better!

Excellent service! Our server was so sweet and was on top of everything. She made my son feel especially nice in order to celebrate his graduation from elementary school. The food was delicious and made to order for both of us. With me having such a limited medical diet that was refreshing. We had a wonderful evening and meal.

Hostess was so nice, seating us in the back, which was our preference. It was less crowded (especially since one of my nieces is in a wheelchair). Once there, Julianna took excellent care of us. She got all of our meals to us quickly, and constantly checked back with us - replenishing our drinks, getting a better sweet potato for my niece when the first one didn't taste right, and getting boxes & bags for leftovers. She was the best! The food was cooked exactly as we asked. My niece likes a very rare steak and I like mine medium rare. Perfection. My other niece had salmon, and it was her first time getting it at Outback. She was impressed, and enjoyed it. Our hostess was once again marvelous when she agreed to take our photo. We are so glad Julianna popped in for our silly pose. When we return, we want Julianna!

Lousy drinks from the bar. 8 cars in the parking lot, and a 20 minute +wait for a steak. Service slow. Won't Beback Steakhouse!

We come here often, and don't always put up a review. However. Our Texas Roadhouse rivals any…read moresteakhouse that we've been to across the country. 100 times better than Chicago. The service is great. The food is great, and it makes you want to go there often. If you've not tried it or you haven't been there in a while I would suggest you'd do it again. The staff is happy it's clean and the service is wonderful as well as the food.

CONCERNS ABOUT HEALTH, SAFETY and ENVIRONMENT…read more My review focuses on service and environment, because I am genuinely shocked this establishment passes a health and safety inspection. My husband and I visited on a Monday evening. First impression: somewhat busy but not overly loud. There was no seating available in the initial entrance/waiting area, and customers were standing in line along a short partition that separates the waiting area from dining booths. Customers waiting were positioned directly next to diners, with no barrier beyond a low wall. HEALTH & SAFETY CONCERNS Most respiratory infections--including influenza, common colds, and COVID (which is still circulating)--are spread through aerosolized droplets from uncovered coughs and sneezing. There should be a glass divider or comparable barrier between customers who are waiting and those seated immediately on the other side of that short wall (who may be eating/drinking). As someone who had just been discharged from the hospital after a four-day stay, I chose this establishment as my first and only meal of the day. I do not want to unnecessarily inhale or ingest airborne particles from strangers standing inches away. It's concerning that this setup appears to be overlooked during health inspections, particularly during flu season. Some patrons may not understand or practice basic illness precautions, and I feel an obligation to share this concern for the sake of the community. Our wait time itself was reasonable--under 10 minutes. SERVICE Our server, Matt, greeted us promptly and offered alcohol, which we declined. He was professional but not especially friendly--he did his job. When he returned to take our order, we still had not been told where the menus were located. At that point, he pointed them out behind condiments near the wall. Once we accessed them, they were greasy and visibly dirty. He suggested a few appetizers from memory, left us to review the menu, and went to put in our order for grilled shrimp. We were never asked if we wanted dessert. While that may seem minor, it stood out--especially given how quickly alcohol was offered at the start of service. It gave the impression that some upsells are prioritized over others. Despite these issues, I tipped 15%, understanding service-industry wages. CLEANLINESS The menus were greasy and visibly dirty. If menus are not being properly cleaned between uses, there should at least be sanitizing wipes available for customers. Wanting to disconnect from our phones, we attempted to use the tabletop trivia/payment console. It was filthy, but I sanitized it. Ironically, the trivia redirected us to a QR code and back to our phones, defeating the purpose. There were also considerable delays between games that were not attributable to phone use. If this device is not regularly disinfected or able to function reliably on its own, it should be removed--especially since it is also used for payment. Trivia costs $1.99 plus tax. PROFANITY IN A FAMILY (?) ENVIRONMENT This is a family establishment, yet profanity was openly used in the dining area. A group of teenage basketball players entered. One or two leaned over the booth opposite mine and engaged in loud conversation with a waiter--apparently a friend. During this exchange, one of the players casually (and loudly) used the "f-word." I immediately said, "HEY!" There is absolutely no reason for profanity in an environment where families and children are present. The young man quickly apologized, as did another member of the group, and I thanked them. What stood out was that neither the waiter involved nor the manager--who appeared friendly with the group--felt it necessary to apologize or address the behavior. In fact, as we were leaving, that same group was seated at the booth the waiter had been cleaning. Both the waiter and the manager should have intervened or acknowledged the disruption. Their silence implied acceptance. Final Thoughts I would not return unless sanitation, environmental safety, and managerial oversight are meaningfully improved.
