The service was just slow. We calculated we waited an hour for a steak salad. The manager said it was about 45 minutes from the time the order was put in...who am I to argue over 15 minutes for some lettuce in a bowl and a steak...which they're known for, on top. We were able to get a seat right away at the bar and decided to dine there. The place was busy, but not overly so. It was very chaotic at the bar. Orders for our drinks were taken and about 20 minutes passed before we actually got our drinks. Dinner was ordered, salad came out and then almost immediately the food was delivered. Steaks were not cooked to order, mine was overcooked and husbands was a little bit less than rare. They took his back and supposedly recooked it, however when they brought it back out it was still as rare as it went back to the kitchen. The server also took his entire plate, which included a lobster tail and baked potato. Should have only took the steak, but maybe I am not sure of their process at this location. Husband asked them for a new steak, and again it came out undercooked. He just bit the bullet and ate it around the edges. It was not until the second steak came out that the bartender even came and checked on how the meals were. By that time, the bar had started to clear out so there was no reason the bartender should not have been proactive. No visit from the manager to apologize for the experience. We frequent Wesley Chapel Outback and the place is almost always packed and the service is always spot on. My suggestion is more training, send them to Heather. Service was always great but the food was terrible. I think restaurants R using short order cooks or the worst chefs on earth. I had a rib eye sandwich that my 5 yr. grandson could have made better. I think that was a toasted hoagie but the top was hard or stale, and the bottom was soaked with ??. The meat was hanging out with soaked onions and mushrooms. The au jus on the side, which I think it was, 10% liquid and 90% onions. More like onion soup. What was once a very good place to eat has become a shambles. What is the Australian word for "disappointment" because if there is one thing consistently on point with this place is that...DISAPPOINTING TIME AFTER TIME AFTER TIME....so we haven't been back to this place in a year since the last disappointing visit, and it was a long time before that visit ...against my better judgement let the wife talk me into going, she wanted a blooming onion...get there at 5 o'clock, parking lot was virtually empty at dinner time. I should of took that at face value..so we get seated...order drinks...they send them out WRONG! So as to not be a pain, I walked the drinks back to the bar for them to fix them. Next the waitress shows up at the party next to us table and begins taking their orders while our salads sat on her tray for 10 minutes getting warm while she stood there in conversation...then drops them off at our table WARM....within a few minutes of that they bring out my wife's dinner entree without my entree?....she specifically ordered a half order of quesadillas with no bacon...they bring out a full order with bacon...so they go back with those where we were left waiting another 15 minutes till they brought out hers fixed and my order of salmon.....and my salmon was RAW!....even the waitress took offense to its rawness....that was it for me ... the manager suggested cooking it some more, which we all know meant putting it in the microwave...that was the last time I will ever give this place the benefit of the doubt...it was also April fools day, well I definitely left feeling like a fool...NEVER AGAIN ! read more

We went to dinner at Outback almost every Saturday night. They made a lot of changes through the years. The last time I went I had 3 6 ounce glasses of wine and was told that is the limit. It's a shame I can't give less than 1 star. From the incompetent waitress, sarah, to the undercooked steak. It a shock they are able to keep their doors open. We arrived and we're sat very fast. Our order was taken. When our soup and salads arrived they were great. The steaks arrived 5 minutes later then we got our deserts 20 minutes after we were done with our steaks. I will never recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants a good meal. I've gotten better service at McDonald's. The check was delivered before we took a bite of the dessert. At 12:30, my wife and I got seated right away for lunch. Clean booth. Server Shay was very pleasant and not at all rude or pushy, refilled drinks promptly and was respectful, polite and professional. The bread was warm and delicious. We ordered the Bloomin' Petals as an appetizer. (It's plenty for two). The Bloomin' Onion would have been way too big. Wife ordered the Victoria's Filet Mignon with a Sweet Potato (all the fixins) and a Blue Cheese Wedge Salad for sides.I ordered the Bloomin' Burger with the standard Aussie Fries as a side. The wedge salad came out first and she ate it so fast, I couldn't get a pic of it. The entree's were served simultaneously and quite quickly. The filet was cooked perfectly as requested, medium well. The burger was hot and tasty. Both plates were warm throughout the meal. We passed on a dessert because we were both full. Everything was just fine and we have no issues. Honestly, we've never had any issue at the Outback and we've been to quite a few in many different states up and down the east coast. Thank you Outback. We dined there for Valentine Day and my wife ordered the filet and lobster. I ordered the Ayers steak. Both our steaks were ordered medium rare. The steaks were cooked correctly. Mine was good and fairly tender but my wife's filet was very tough and chewy. Typically a filet is very tender but not this one! I don't know that we will be coming back any time soon. Got our drinks and Appetizer in right away and was there to refill waters and offer Cocktail refills. The coconut shrimp came out fast and my blood orange Rita was perfect. My husband and I took my mom out to this restaurant tonight. It was her first time out in 15 months. Ben was our server and he was one of the best servers we've had in a very long time. Came here during the holiday weekend, on a Monday, and holy moly, was it packed! I'd like to start off by stating this is a 3 Star restaurant because it's your average outback restaurant, good food, clean environment. I added another star solely for the service from the hostess and waitress we had. There was barely anywhere to stand, let alone sit, when my group walked in, it was loud, and a little hectic. But none of this phased the hostess, she was peppy and friendly, and immediately told us where we could find menus to glance at while we waited for ~25minutes. It took less than that to be seated, woohoo! Our waitress was high class, seriously, I don't know how she's not working at a more elite restaurant. Within minutes of sitting down she arrived to take our drink orders, and waited a moment for someone in my group to peer at the drink menu before settling on soda. She then asked if we were ready to order any appetizers or our meals, we said yes. She then happily informed us that she would take both the order of the app and meal, but place our meal orders a few minutes after the appetizer so things came out evenly spaced. Wow...I'll tell ya, never once has a waitress done that for me, I always have to ask after our drink order if we can place our meal order, and that's IF they don't run out of there before I can open my mouth to ask. I was so pleasantly shocked that she did this, I immediately knew we were going to have to give an extra tip for this superb waitress. Despite the restaurant being oddly packed on a Monday at 6pm, we got our drinks within minutes, and soon after our bread and butter. Throughout the meal our waitress checked in on us just the right amount, as in I never had to ask for a refill of my drink, she anticipated our needs, and when we asked, she so kindly took a picture of us. Never once did she seem rushed nor did she make us feel rushed. That's an amazing quality to have during peak business hours for a waitress. Okay, now that I've obsessed over our waitress, I'll talk about the food. Good bread, perfect amount of butter. The grilled shrimp has a kick to it, guess I didn't read the menu right, but it wasn't too noticeable to my cousin. The sirloin was done well, I got a side of steamed veggies, and they were perfectly steamed. The salmon, holy moly, that was a huge slab of fish, tasty seasoning on it, and it's a good portion if you're hungry! We go to Outback all the time but this was our first time at this one. We enjoyed it very much. The kids grilled cheese was good and even when my daughter dropped one, they replaced it for no cost. My prime rib was well cooked and my wife's fish was good. The only issue was the food took a little longer than we would have liked. Terrible experience Placed a to go order at 8:10 PM. They told me ready in 20-25 minutes. I waited until 8:45 P.M when they finally brought out the food. It was missing a sweet potato. I complained to the manager that I wanted to be compensated for my long wait and inconvenience. I was told there would be no compensation and I got my food on time. She then told me to leave or she'll call the police and told me I wasn't welcome there anymore. When I got home the salad that I ordered with no cheese was loaded with cheese. It was a terrible experience & I will surely not go back there again. The food is most of the time not cooked properly and the service most of the time is lousy. I have been in the industry for 30 years. From front of the house to back of the house. I have high standards, especially when I go to sit down and relax and have a meal. Service was good from the minute we walked thru the door. Server was great very friendly and great service, Victoria, even put a smiley face on check. The food was just... IDK...what to say... about the food. Not consistent is the only word I want to waste my breath or time on. My salad had a million cherry tomatoes cut in half, purple onion that was just skin, someone added the core of the lettuce. Not good. I was going to order rare, because, I love black and blue and Pittsburg style steaks... but... I chose med rare, I shouldn't have. It was gray all the way around and a little pink in the middle, dry and flavorless. The server saw my face and she even said "your not happy with the steak", I shrugged my shoulders not wanting to wait for another one. My bad. The mash potatoes were like paste and the asparagus was uncooked and crunchy. The mason jar of sangria tasted like kool-aid. So, I thought about this since Thursday evening and come to realize that who ever expedited our meal sucks. I got my boyfriends steak and he got mine. Sesame Ahi Tuna Salad Ahi Tuna or Salmon with mixed greens, red peppers, chopped cilantro, sliced almonds and sesame seeds tossed in sesame vinaigrette." Mixed greens? What I got was a cheap walmart bag of iceberg lettuce mix complete with radish and carrot shavings. Hardly any almonds or sesame seeds and my tuna was horrible. There was so much pepper seasoning on it you couldn't even taste the meat. Also cilantro and iceberg lettuce do not mix. 12.99 for that? I atleast expected some premium lettuce and baby spinach.. Dinner at Out back is great if you are having dinner with just your spouse but add eighty people and they can't accommodate. Waited over an hour and a half to be seated. Manager said that people that call in have priority. I have a large family and this has never been a problem for any other restaurant. We normally wait 45 minutes. We stopped in here because my husband's boss has mentioned he liked it here, and he's someone I trust for recommending restaurants. The hostess was very nice, and warned us about the wait.Saturday night, 25-30 minute wait which isn't bad, and we were taken to a clean booth and started our evening. The restaurant seems well kept, which is rare here in Spring Hill. The menu has changed a bit since the last time I was at an outback, but the pricing was fair. Once the food started coming, we were super impressed by how good it was but also how the hot food was super hot, which implies they don't let it sit under the heat lamp for long. I ordered the pork porterhouse which was awesome, and my husband had the sirloin, also awesome and very tender. Such a lovely evening out, and our server, Devin, was very prompt!
