Super friendly staff. Based on solely my experience with the understanding that service is hit or miss, my service although performed with a great attitude was extremely slow. I mean slow. So much so - I became so frustrated with the poor service & having to send my food back several times before getting it right that I banned my family to step food in this Outback or any other in Miami. *Service - Year & a half later, I gave in & decided to give it a try. The verdict - night to day. With call ahead, we were seated right away instead of waiting around as we normally did. Once we sat down, Isis took our order right away. She was most attentive, professional & her customer skills were outstanding. She had other tables but never missed a beat with ours. *Operating Mgr. - Met Ashraf Mahmoud & he runs a tight ship & it shows. My nephew requested dinner at Outback on a Saturday night. We made call ahead reservations and luckily were seated right away. Thank god because the place was packed! The hot brown bread awaited us. When we sat down we noticed that there was a puddle of a spilled beverage underneath us and the table was dirty. We pointed it out to the waitress and she cleaned it up right away. We ordered a blooming onion and Cesar salad for appetizers. Most of us had steak. One person in our party had the ribs. I ordered the prime rib. The sweet potato must have been in the oven since the day before -- it tasted like angry burnt molasses and was shriveled, black and cold. None of the toppings I ordered were included, which I'd paid extra for. Not even an apology for the tardiness, just a "Hey, I didn't cook the food" and a shrug. Stopped by Outback because both my husband and I were craving their French onion soup. As always, it was delicious and would recommend their deliciously melted cheese on top of their warm French onion soup. We also shared a taco bowl and a steak sandwich though both tasted delicious we were a little disappointed the French looking bread wasn't crispy as it looked in the menu. It was kind of soggy but tasted good. The taco bowl was also delicious. Our waiter, Dani was great - sweet and very professional. I even made sure to let the manager know as not many people give compliments. Most people prefer to complain about the staff instead. The food here is delicious but I do want to bring to their attention that their bar high chairs "seriously" need immediate replacement. They are "all" torn apart (see pictures attached). It really takes away from your staffs professionalism and your customer's first impression of your place. Please replace them ASAP! Even cheap new chairs will make your bar area look clean and better! Don't get me wrong the place looks clean but your bar chairs? I would definitely not sit on them! I went to the Outback close to Mall of the America's hoping that with it being brand new everything would be outstanding. I ordered the Victoria's barrel cut filet mignon 8 oz and what they brought out was a center cut sirloin. I pointed it out to the waitor and he said sorry and that he'd bring out the manager. When the manager came out (Cedrick) he said the piece of meat was a filet mignon and some filets have a non round appearance to them. He took the plate and said he'd bring me out a filet mignon right away. Shortly after he came back with the exact same plate of food. Needless to say I will never be returning to this Outback again. I ordered a $30 piece of steak and they clearly gave me the $20 cut. My only regret was not taking a picture to post on this site to show the nerve of the staff at this establishment. read more

Visited the Flagler location for the first time. We arrived around 7 and restaurant was empty but nice. Compared to other similar restaurants the prices are HIGH. We decided to stay and started to order our drinks. My husband ordered the blooming onion chicken with one side and I ordered the blooming burger with baked potato. When my husband's plate came out I started laughing. The size of the chicken was a kids portion. Nothing like the picture. Since he also ordered an onion soup he said he was ok. My blooming onion burger came out wrong. I asked for it plain with cheese, blooming onions and medium well. It came without onions and a little more raw than I like it. The waiter then brought me stale pieces of blooming onions on the side and then the manager brought me undercooked blooming onions on the side. I mentioned my burger was a little undercooked so she said I'll make you another. The 2nd burger was still alive when it arrived. Once I bit into it the bun was all bloody. At that point I was disgusted and returned it. She came back apologizing with gift cards. It was a simple burger to cook. I was still hungry and ended up going to a drive thru at McDonald's. We used to visit the other Flagler location and the food was always excellent and the place was always full. If you want GOOD food for the price go down the road to Texas Roadhouse or Longhorn. I was ordering store carry out from here often, however after today I will not be going back. We all here rumors about spit in food and although I can't confirm 100%, but just look at the pictures. I ordered an 11oz Sirloin with 2 sweet potato sides with extra butter. I didn't get the extra butter or bread but I wasn't bothered by this. The steak was over cooked for medium, but most times I order it's good so I wasn't stressed about that either, but one of the toppings for the two sweet potatoes was not only empty, but also looks suspect. The picture I show is exactly how I received it from the kitchen. Even if not spit, how do you let something like that go out. The bottom cup is how it normally looks and how the second side came, the first cup is way too suspicious. No way I can risk eating that. read more

Wow sad to say was not happy with my food. If it was closer I'd brought it back. This was my second take out with this place and fourth time getting food here. All other times perfect. First off I had to go inside to get my curbside pick up. Food was not done. Waited an extra 28 minutes. It's like they forgot my order. Missing a salad. I wished they missed the second one. There was a clump of lettuce that was not only brown but turning into mush. Never should've been there. Ordered the fried mushrooms and it was so small an order. The fries were crinkle cut because apparently they ran out of the original ones due to poor management. I love Outback. I want to say it is my "commercial" restaurant. The food they sell here appeals to me and I can always find something to eat without being overwhelmed with a large menu. I have been to this particular location many times but for some strange reason this one felt different. The staff seems like they have gotten better or some training. I cannot put my finger on it but I was very happy with the service. We came with a fairly large party (six people) and were seated almost immediately despite it being a busy night. We were greeted immediately by a host with bread in her hand. I recall coming to this location one night and it took at least 40 minutes for someone to come to the table so this is a large improvement. The waitress introduced herself and asked for our drink orders. She returned fast with our drinks and asked us if we were ready to order which luckily we were. We all ordered and my hubby could not decide on what he wanted. He wanted to be adventurous and try something new. So she recommended the lamb chops. He was ambivalent but he trusted her. She said they were actually very good and even recommended how to have it cooked (medium). A good amount of time passed and our food came. She checked on us at least 4-6 times throughout the meal. The food was cooked to perfection and the lamb chops were GREAT just like she had said. Honestly I feel bad because I forgot her name. I know the managers name I believe was Dennis or Danny? The place is dirty, trash on floor all around booths and tables, staff was standing around talking and laughing, the food was presented as if it was thrown on the plate. The seat cover was ripped and dirty. As the prices go up the Friday night dining experience goes way down. No manager in sight. BAD. Big letdown. No rules, just right! This is one of the better Outback locations in Miami. Not only is their staff attentive and helpful but their menu is pretty good for a casual chain restaurant. Of course, I always get the blooming onion so this visit here was no different. It was quite difficult deciding which cut of steak to order but eVentually I chose the garlic filet medallions. The flavors of the potent garlic with herb based flavor marinated into the lean steaks made me proud of my decision. I added the Caesar side salad and the cheesy broccoli to my entree as I sipped on a cold and refreshing cider. They also offer a kids menu for the little ones with quirky names for their usual go-to dishes that's sure to please them. Simply put, Outback is to steak as Olive Garden is to Italian. Come to this large chain restaurant for a reasonably priced meal with good service, but don't expect the same grade or quality of meats that you'll get at better steakhouses such as, say, Graziano's or even Los Ranchos (in some cases for not much more $$). We came here on a Tuesday night at around 9:15. Though the place was supposedly closing at 10, at least a dozen booths were full of patrons. We chose to sit at the bar, which is relatively large, and there were only 3 open stools. The bartender/server was there relatively quickly to clear away the dishes from the last group of patrons, wipe down the bar where we were seated, and offer menus. They were running a promotion called "Summer of Steak". I had the 9 ounce sirloin which came with a soup, salad, a side dish and cheesecake for dessert for $19. My partner had the 22 ounce bone in ribeye which came with 2 sides for $30. The wine list here offers many of the same wines one will find at Publix (then again, who comes to Outback for the wine list?). We chose a cabernet sauvignon from Coppola which priced out at $36 - about 2x over retail, which isn't bad. Shortly after we ordered, we were given a small loaf of warm, soft brown bread and whipped butter. Aside from the aforementioned wines, this Outback location offers a full bar, as well as a number of craft bottled beers/cider and 9 or 10 draft beers as well. Overall, not a bad offering! I had the house salad with mustard vinaigrette. It was actually quite flavorful! Rather than soup, the server told me I could order a second side dish instead, so with my steak I had fries and seasonal vegetables, which consisted of steamed broccoli, carrots and yellow squash. The sides were both quite good, but the steak was a bit dry and lacked flavor so I ended up adding some sauce to perk it up a bit. I tried my partner's ribeye - It was juicy and more flavorful than my sirloin for sure. For dessert, I was offered cheesecake with raspberries, strawberries, caramel or chocolate. They were out of my first selection so I went with strawberry. I was served a decent sized slice of really tasty cheesecake, covered in fresh sliced strawberries and thick strawberry sauce. Really excellent and a great finish to the meal! Overall our experience here was a good one. Our server was friendly though not terribly attentive, the food and wine were good - This experience at Outback gets a solid "A-OK" as 3 stars on Yelp denotes. read more

Ordered coconut shrimp and cheese fries as appetizers. Coconut shrimp was drenching in oil and much smaller than I remember. The cheese fries were not crispy kinda soggy fries with cheese and bacon. Alice spring chicken was ok the bacon on top was undercooked and not crispy, I ordered it with steakhouse Mac and cheese. Basically boiled noodles with breadcrumbs NO creamy cheese included. This place is a ZOO. We ordered curbside parking arrived 5 minutes early and the curbside parking spaces were all taken. Okay, got lucky found a spot across from the main entrance. People were waiting along the door entrance and the line overflowed to the outside walkway. When they found our order, which was not completed even with the 35 minute wait time, and we started checking the order for accuracy. We were not given the 3 filet mignon meals, nor were we given the appropriate number of sides for the meals, nor was the appetizers included. Yet, they were ready to charge us for the full order even though the food they were giving us was incomplete! Manager is called over and he simply says he could give us 2 baked potatoes, instead of the 3 filet mignons!!!! How is this acceptable! In the end, we got 2 filets, with one salad, 2 baked potatoes, one blooming onion and one small soup. Total mess of an order and the manager was extremely unprofessional. Wanted us to wait another 30 minutes to complete our original order, yet the food we had would be cold. Guess it didn't matter because when we got home, the meal was a loss. Cold and overdone meat. Brandon was my waiter and he was so incredibly polite, helpful and just an overall great waiter. If you want great service, ask for Brandon, you will be satisfied with his service. We all ordered our dishes. One of my coworkers ordered a salad and a sirloin steak, 6 oz, medium; her boyfriend ordered a steak as well, medium well. I had a French onion soup, which for a chain was decent if a bit salty, as well as a 9 oz sirloin steak, well done. My last coworker opted to order a ribeye steak, medium rare, but before that, he chose to order a chicken tortilla soup. From what he told me, the soup was pretty good. He was enjoying it, and then, he stopped suddenly. There was a piece of plastic in his soup that he was very fortunate to not eat and/or swallow. Needless to say, he spoke to the waiter right away, he apologized, and the manager even came over and apologized, offering a free soup on house. My coworker then ended up getting a French onion soup and he found it salty just like I did. That being said, they then went above and beyond and did not charge my coworker anything. Well, except for the alcohol he had, which is justifiable. Given the incident, I would say they did what they were supposed to do, so good call to this Outback for rectifying this situation. Sadly, this is the type of thing that does leave a sour taste in your mouth and I do wonder if and when I will return.
