    Oysters

We are staying at the Trump hotel and decided to try this restaurant. It was the day after Thanksgiving and the lobby was decorated beautifully with Christmas decor. Dinner was amazing. We started with the oysters, they were excellent (great flavor). The bread with butter and salt was delicious. My husband and I both had the filet mignon which was cooked perfectly. We split the Caesar salad and the Red Hen mushrooms which were excellent. The mushrooms were served in an iron skillet. We shared them so the picture shows half of the portion on my plate. We ended our meal by sharing a piece of key lime pie. Everything was delicious and the service was great. Maria and crew did a wonderful job & praises to the chefs. I highly recommend this restaurant. We're coming back tonight.

Amazing service from beginning to end, but that's expected at the Trump. Came here to celebrate our president's win and had a great experience. The staff was attentive and nice, offering suggestions and quick with their service. They didn't have the Australian Wagyu skirt steak I wanted so I supplemented with the filet mignon and they brought us courtesy appetizers as an apology. The food was delicious and the steaks are the primary reason to come here; we weren't disappointed. 5 stars and will be coming back soon!

The service is always on point and the many never fails to amaze us. We have been here many times throughout the years and love it. This review is of the Mew years eve menu and day specifically. The menu was. Very limited and offered all delicious choices for those who eat anything and everything with absolutely no dietary restrictions or food quarks. They did and will however accommodate you. For example the gluten free pizza wasn't on the menu but it was possible to order for the little one. Thumbs up for that. Ambiance is great. There are televisions all over and you can entertain yourself with whatever they have on. Usually golf or current sports. Guests are always pleasant and the ambiance is always relaxed. You can enjoy your meal in peace. Located on the bottom floor. Restrooms are outside of the restaurant in the hall. You can purchase cigars and the cocktail menu is extensive. There is a full bar so you are not limited to what is on the cocktail menu.

Spectacular food, service and view. I'd recommend this place 100% and would go back every time I'm around there. Our waitress from Bolivia (I forgot her name) was very thoughtful, motivated, very friendly, intelligent and had a very pleasant personality. All the people working there were very friendly and the food is delicious. I had the most delicious pan seared Branzino. The Branzino is grilled in the menu and it has the skin, but I asked if I could get it pan seared and with no skin and they had no problem making it.

Indoor and outdoor seating available. We decided to sit outside which was lovely. The service was perfect, food was delicious and wine was perfect. Absolutely no complaints on my entire experience, highly recommend the sautéed Dover dole, so yummy! I also liked the options available for sides on the menu, I wanted to try them all!!! I rarely give 5 stars but everything was perfect.

Not only is the food amazing but the service is fantastic. The steaks are cooked to perfection. And don't overlook the breakfast/brunch. There is something for everyone. Will definitely be back.

This place is located inside the Trump hotel and let me tell you. I was there twice and twice I was amazed and impressed with their kindness and their food. Their wings are amazing and one of the best that I have had so far. The bartender was very nice as well as the waiting staff. One night I got their steak and I know I make amazing steak, but the one here was really good quality and perfectly cooked. Would definitely recommend it.

I came here with my friend for my introductory Miami Spice experience. It is in the lobby of the hotel, but has its own well appointed space with bar, inside, and outside verandah seating. The verandah overlooks the well-appointed golf course and on a gorgeous day like the day we came, it seemed criminal to not sit outside in a half-crescent booth with an unobstructed view. However, after sitting outside for about 30mins we instantly regretted our decision as the heat was almost overwhelming and the ceiling fans they had seemed to be merely for decoration. We asked for the Spice menu when we were sat and perused the main menu for apps & drinks as well. I was not at all impressed w/their wine offerings as they were not only grossly overpriced for the wines offered, but the selection was lacking as well. This really surprised me as they seemed to have a very impressive open-view wine cellar when we walked in. I ordered a $13 prosecco to help offset the impending heatstroke. At least they gave a fair/full pour. They brought out these complementary popovers that I think were some kind of sourdough. They were surprisingly delicious and I appreciated that they came with real butter and the sea salt was a nice touch as well. We ordered the bacon and the tuna tartare outside of the Miami Spice menu and both were delicious! The tuna tartare especially as it was served chilled and with just enough flavor. Their spice menu started us off w/a "Lobster Bisque Cappuccino", which would have been deliciously eccentric on any other day than one that was teetering on 100 degrees w/humidity. I could not finish most of mine as I wanted nothing to do with a hot beverage at that point. I think this offering would have been better served on their dinner menu or maybe later in September. A nice light salad or some other light and cool dish would be better matched w/the seasonal temp of a lunch menu in Doral, FL. I defnitely should have gone w/the heirloom tomato carpaccio! My friend ordered the short rib grilled cheese and I ordered the chicken and waffle. The short rib left a lot to be desired, though the truffled fries that came with it were tasty. The chicken waffles were pretty tasty and served with chicken ice cream, which for the first few seconds until it melted was delightful. We each had one of the two desserts offered and the chocolate pot de creme was excellent and the tres leches cake with fresh fruit was a nice finish. The waitstaff was actually pretty decent and attentive, so no complaints on the service. Now on to why the two-stars. My friend and I were grossly overcharged here. We were charged for the dinner Miami Spice menu and did not catch the error until it clicked with us that we should have paid $23/pp for a Miami Spice lunch. Seriously, this bill was what a very nice dinner would cost with full courses and wine! Needless to say, we sorted it out and apologies were made (how we were charged for the dinner price at lunch is still a mystery to me, though maybe I shouldn't be that surprised considering the location?) with assurances that the charges originally made to our credit cards would be corrected. They stated that the charges that were originally made would just not be closed out and that the new charges would be the ones processed through. That was over a week ago. I finally had to call my CC company to dispute the charge as the corrected one never posted 5 days later and lo and behold all of a sudden the corrected amt (which was still a bit too pricey for what we had) posted to my card the next day. That kinda stuff (overcharging and then still not fixing when you say you will) always leaves a bad taste in my mouth, so I will never come back here despite (other than making the mistake of sitting on the verandah) what was an otherwise enjoyable dining experience.

First of all, the vibes were immaculate. We sat outside and it was so peaceful at first because I think we were literally the first people there for happy hour/lunch. It felt like we unlocked a secret level before the crowd came. Perfect weather, great energy, good music, cute scenery... very "main character with a discounted cocktail" energy. Now let's talk FOOD. Every single dish we ordered was SO flavorful. Like somebody in that kitchen actually believes in seasoning and I just want to personally thank them for their service. Even the fries??? And let's have a serious conversation because not all fries deserve rights. Especially those thick overly battered fries that feel like you're chewing on drywall. These fries were thin, crispy, flavorful, perfectly seasoned... exactly how fries should be. No unnecessary jacket on them. Just vibes. The tuna tartare was AMAZING. Fresh, flavorful, light, addictive. I could've ordered another one and acted like it was "for the table." The calamari was cooked perfectly too. Nice and airy, tender, not rubbery. You know how some calamari fights back when you chew it? Not this one. Peaceful calamari. The edamame with the chunky sea salt was weirdly one of my favorite things. So simple but SO good. And the Korean wings??? BABY. Those were "cancel your evening plans and order another round" wings. We don't say "to die for" anymore because positivity, growth, healing... but let's just say I would dramatically think about those wings again later. The drinks were great, the prices during happy hour honestly felt fair, and our waiter was SO sweet and attentive the entire time. Overall, I would absolutely come back. Honestly, if my responsibilities would allow it, I'd pull up to this happy hour every day like it's a part time job!

We started with the bone marrow appetizer, and it was truly outstanding -- incredibly balanced, rich without being overwhelming, and so good we couldn't stop talking about it. We ordered the steak and eggs. The crunchy brioche, earthy mushroom purée, and beautifully sliced steak came together perfectly, and the saltiness of the caviar tied everything together in a really thoughtful way. The picanha was another standout! incredibly tender and full of flavor. We paired it with the broccolini and wagyu fat potatoes, both of which were absolutely delicious. To finish, we shared the ube cheesecake empanada. We were a bit hesitant at first, but it turned out to be the perfect ending to an already fantastic meal. The cocktails throughout the night were also excellent. We enjoyed the restaurant so much that we brought friends back later the same week. That visit was just as impressive -- we ordered the tomahawk steak, garden salad, bone marrow (again!), steak and eggs, truffle fries, broccolini, carrots, and tried all of the desserts. Once again, everything was delicious across the board. The only area for improvement would be the service. Everyone was kind and attentive, but at times too quick to clear plates and not proactive enough with the next course. At a restaurant of this caliber, I'd expect the dessert menu to be offered immediately after plates are cleared, rather than needing to track down a server. Overall, the food is exceptional, and we'll absolutely be back.

Our party of three opted for the Butcher's Feast, and at over $400, the quality and service were simply not there. Many of the meat cuts were excessively fatty and essentially inedible, leaving us to leave a significant portion of the meal untouched. The sides were equally disappointing--the best thing we were served was white rice, and it wasn't even fresh. Even dessert was an afterthought: a basic, unimaginative cup of vanilla ice cream. Our server, Gerardo, was consistently inattentive. We had to ask him multiple times for simple items like a napkin, and when we requested more sides, he dismissed us by saying the kitchen was "busy" rather than accommodating the request. He appeared visibly annoyed by our questions and frustrated that we weren't interested in over-ordering alcohol. Between the poor quality of the meat, mediocre sides, overpriced drinks, and lackluster service, the experience did not justify the cost. For a restaurant with this reputation, it was a massive disappointment and definitely not a place I will be returning to. Hard pass.

Food-wise, everything we ordered was good but some dishes felt overpriced for what they were. The beef carpaccio,l was overwhelmed by oil which dulled the delicacy of the meat. The wedge salad was similarly heavy-handed: fully tossed and drenched in dressing losing the crisp that makes a wedge shine. A restaurant that still comes to mind months later is usually doing something right, and this visit confirmed what we loved about our first experience. We made reservations without any issues a couple of days before. The restaurant was clean, bright, and had not filled up yet with the busy Sunday family crowd. Upon being seated, we were provided with the regular menu and the Miami Spice Lunch menu. The Miami Spice Lunch, which has now become a daily Executive Lunch special, is a standout value. The portion sizes and the quality of the Argentinian steaks speak for themselves. As a group, here's what we ordered: Starters - Ham and Cheese Empanadas - Morcilla - Grilled Provolone Each starter delivered exactly what you'd expect from an Argentinian steakhouse. The empanadas were warm and flaky, the morcilla was rich and well seasoned, and the grilled provolone came out bubbling and perfect for sharing amongst our table with the restaurant's complementary bread basket. Entrée: - New York Strip Steak, 12 oz This was the only cut of steak we ordered. It was cooked to each of our desired temperatures and seasoned simply, letting the quality of the beef speak for itself. It is clear why La Cabrera has a reputation as one of Latin America's best restaurants. Sauces on the side, which included a BBQ sauce, and a chimichurri, were left for our choosing and were used for the side dishes more than anything. Sides: - French Fries - Jasmine Rice Both sides complemented the steak well. The fries were crispy and large in size. My father-in-law, a cuban man who's very serious about his rice dishes, thought the jasmine rice was very good. Dessert: - Dulce de Leche Ice Cream with Cone - Dulce de Leche Pancakes The ice cream was smooth and rich, while the pancakes were finished with a sugary powder coating that was impossible to resist. This lunch reinforced why La Cabrera continues to be stand out in a crowded field of steakhouses. Between the consistency, generous portions, and the value of their daily menu specials, it's an easy recommendation whether you're bringing family, hosting someone from out of town, or simply looking for a great lunch in Coconut Grove.
