This place needs to be talked about!!! Hidden in a bustling plaza is this incredible Argentinian restaurant. It is family ran and the staff is so friendly. I love that every single day there is a different lunch special and it comes with A LOT of food for just $18. The French onion soup is delicious and has an Argentinian twist with a change of cheese. The breaded steak milanesa and breaded chicken are so thinly you could barely start the coat. The seabass was delicious and the lemon sauce is different than anything I have had. In a city of cookie cutter instagramable restaurants, we have a family run restaurant and they serve interesting wines like the Lioneli collection wine, 7 michi, and sponsor of Miami Spice terrazas de Los Andes. We started with their BOURGUIGNON EMPANADA which was incredible meaty and when you pour the mushroom dip, you dip and melt. Then like a true French bistro we had to have the escargot which were definitely some meaty snails, then of course how do you not get the ultimate melty provoleta cheese?! A foodies dream. We then moved to their BIFE DE CHORIZO, this gorgeous piece of tender meat, barely needed a knife. Then we went to such a comforting dish like the vacío al Malbec, nothing warmed my soul more than this beautiful roast served with some delicious veggies and the most perfect fries. But the dish I've never had and now will be forever obsessed with is the carne al disco, cooked using a disused plow disk in a rural area of Argentina, the dish is veggie packed and as your dive in, you fall in love with the Smokey and tradition of it all. Now Corina, we have to shout her out because she came out strong with the desserts, we had their delicious ALMOND CAKE WITH SCOOP OF VANILLA ICE CREAM, the CREPE CARAMEL FLAMBE WITH RUM and in honor of their 4 year anniversary their chocotorta which is the Argentinian version of tiramisu. See the reviews for the past year? All 5 stars and all well deserved. I first came here over twenty years ago when it had different ownership. It was good then but like so many eateries, it unfortunately went downhill. With the new ownership, it's absolutely great now. I recently had lunch here with my daughter and my two g/kids and we all said we need to return, again and again! We went to this French bistro for my grandmother's birthday lunch, and it was a truly wonderful experience. I brought my grandmother, my mother, and my mother-in-law, and we all felt like we were being cared for as if we were family. The restaurant itself has a warm and inviting atmosphere--it doesn't feel like you're in someone's house, but rather in a place designed for comfort and enjoyment. There was only one waitress working the entire restaurant, handling about 10 tables, and she did it seamlessly. She was incredibly attentive, and the service never felt rushed or lacking. The food came out fresh, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. Everything exceeded our expectations. I'm really grateful for the entire team there. It's rare to find a place where both the food and the service shine so brightly. We're already looking forward to going back. When you walk into the restaurant, you get this family home feeling as you're greeted and seated to look over the menu of great options. I came here with a friend to enjoy the Miami Spice menu offered and we were able to make a great selection for our apps, main dish, and dessert from the various options; the restaurant also accommodating for my friend with a vegetarian option for dinner as none wasn't available in the Miami Spice dinner menu. Food came out with great taste, great warmness, and very timely for all sections to enjoy; plus adding a coffee option to go along with our desserts since it felt like these desserts would go great with an espresso. Overall, it is a great restaurant, family friendly, and accommodating to all their customers. We love coming to this adorable restaurant. It's very cute and cozy without being stuffy. The food is out of this world. I always get the escargot which is absolutely delicious and tonight my husband got the shrimp cocktail which came with 8 very large fresh shrimp. The salads are fresh and topped with a lovely light dressing. We had the lamb chops which comes with 4 chops done perfectly medium as requested. They were accompanied by some nice mashed potatoes. We finished up sharing a crème brûlée which was more than enough for two people. The wine was very good as well. I always appreciate a place that has a white Zinfandel. Our hostess and server were super attentive without being intrusive. They were so nice. This is one of our favorite go-to restaurants in the Falls and Pinecrest areas. What a wonderful little hidden gem! I came here for lunch and will be coming weekly. The lunch portion was enough to even take home leftovers. Worse restaurant ever. Went there with out of town family to celebrate my wife's birthday. Ordered a couple of the Filet Mignon with mushroom sauce. The mushroom sauce was good but it was hiding what seemed to be days old cheap cut of steak. Dry and fatty, I had to excuse myself from the table to dump a mouthful of fat I mistakenly put in my mouth. Embarrassed but discreet I quietly told the waitress after she picked up my half eaten plate at end of the dinner at her station. She did refund two meals but the meal and celebration were ruined. Charcuterie board also was composed of cheap meats and cheeses more at home in a cafeteria. I felt bad for the nice waitress and still tipped her well but this restaurant is horrible. read more
