What a gem! My boyfriend suggested trying a new steakhouse and we randomly decided to try Carnicero. To start with, the little ajiaca (soup) was a nice starter. We also had the wagyu carpaccio with the toasted breads, and those croquettes! Ahh I could eat those croquettas all day. We plan to try all of their meats at some point but so far their churrasco, picanha and pork tenderloin left us impressed (esp at their current prices) The sangria and cocktails were very tasty as well. Everything was absolutely amazing. I've been here a few times now and it never disappoints. The service is wonderful, our server was nice and attentive. We ordered a couple of appetizers to start off, followed by our entrees. The Serrano ham and manchego cheese croquettes were to die for, they were so soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside. We also had chorizo as an appetizer which was grilled to perfection. The chorizo came with a chimichurri on the side which was extremely flavorful. As an entree I enjoyed the churrasco medium well, they cooked it exactly as ordered. My friends had the New York strip and churrasco as well and they really enjoyed it. Another item that was amazing was the truffle fries, they layer shredded manchego cheese on top which just makes it that much better. For the dessert we ordered the pineapple filled with crema de catalana. It had compressed pineapple, orange-pineapple gelato and an orange zest. It honestly tasted like I was having an orange dream bar. I enjoyed it very much. They bring it out all extravagantly with dry ice so it's smoking. Last night, Friday night, was my birthday weekend, and although I've never been one to make a big deal about celebrating my birthday, Erika B wanted to take me out to dinner and suggested Carnicero Restaurant in Kendall. Looking back, I couldn't have asked for a better place to spend the evening. When we arrived, there was a huge line of people waiting, which is usually a sign that something special is happening inside. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by a friendly hostess with a beautiful smile who assured us the wait would only be about 30 minutes. We decided to grab a couple of seats at the bar while we waited, and that's when the evening started feeling extra special. The bartender welcomed us with a smile and the very first words out of his mouth were, "Happy Birthday!" To this day, I'm not sure how he knew, but it immediately made me feel welcomed and appreciated. We enjoyed glasses of the house red wine, a wonderful Ribera del Duero from Spain, and shared an order of beef croquettes that were absolutely amazing. True to their word, about 30 minutes later, the bartender personally escorted us to our table. Our server, Iliana, introduced herself and quickly became one of the highlights of our visit. She was warm, attentive, and genuinely cared about making our experience memorable. We shared the 12-ounce Denver Wagyu steak and the 12-ounce lechón asado, accompanied by moros, plátanos maduros, and tostones. Every dish arrived fresh, perfectly cooked, and bursting with flavor. The quality of the food was outstanding from start to finish. Just when I thought the evening couldn't get any better, the staff surprised me by bringing out a flaming pineapple while singing Happy Birthday. It was such a thoughtful touch and made the celebration feel even more special. Inside the pineapple was a Crema Catalana that was simply incredible and the perfect ending to a fantastic meal. What impressed me most wasn't just the food, it was the people. From the hostess, to the bartender, to Iliana, everyone made us feel genuinely welcome. The restaurant was spotless and beautifully decorated, and for a few hours I felt like I had been transported back to Spain instead of being in Miami. A heartfelt thank you to Erika B for planning such a wonderful evening and to the entire Carnicero team for making my birthday celebration one I'll remember for a long time. There were several parties waiting and more continued to arrive, so I'd recommend planning to get there early. The restaurant has a modern farmhouse vibe that feels warm and comfortable without being overly trendy. Food was very good overall. The steaks were cooked well, and the churrascos came with chimichurri and salt on the side. The sides paired nicely with everything we ordered, and a huge shoutout for being one of the few restaurants that serve tostones crispy. The lobster had good flavor but was a bit dry, and melted butter on the side would have really helped. Service was a highlight. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable, plates were cleared quickly as we ate, and utensils were replaced after appetizers and before the main courses. Celebrated a family member's birthday at Carnicero in Kendall today. Since they don't accept reservations, we ended up waiting at least 30 minutes because our full party wasn't onsite yet. Once inside, it was a pleasant and delicious experience. Great service. Great food. We started our meal with appetizers such as ceviche bites, truffle fries, las croquetas(stole the show). The complimentary bread and butter was warm and delicious. My entree as the churrasco (medium), moros and maduros. This place is a hidden gem. The atmosphere is moody and it was not too packed when I went. Our server Mario was absolutely amazing he made the experience so much better, very friendly and charismatic. For drinks I got the Put-in cocktail which was deliciously sweet and refreshing with a side of popping boba, there's not a lot of wine options by the glass but the one we picked was fantastic. To start I had the wagyu tar tar which is prepared table side with jamón ibérico on top, the ceviche bites , and the croquetas which was all very delicious. For main dish I got the churrasco cooked as recommend (medium) and I also tried the Denver Wagyu , both came with a side of chimichurri and both were cooked to perfection, tender and flavorful. For sides I had the maduros, arroz Moro , yuca fries , and the potatoes asada which were all fantastic. For dessert they had a turrón dessert which was like nothing I've ever tried before. We went here on a Monday morning without a reservation and were seated right away with no wait. To start, we tried the fried garbanzo beans, and they were absolutely delicious. They were a great way to kick off the meal. For our mains, we had the filet mignon and the picanha, and both were excellent. The meats were cooked perfectly and packed with flavor. We finished by ordering the crema Catalina which they put their own twist to it by serving it on a pineapple. Very fun. The service was also very good. Our servers were attentive and checked in on us regularly throughout the meal. If I'm being completely honest, at the beginning it felt a little like they were trying to upsell us on a few things. I don't understand all the hype with the food. Long wait lines and loud unbearable location. Food was not all that. Very small plates with little flavors. Service was good. But, every 2 minutes a birthday celebration. Not an issue, but I think people just get annoyed and keep asking for birthday song. Today June 10, 2026 I went to this restaurant Carnicero in Kendall, and it was well worth it. Francisco really run this bar like a pro, how do you handle all of this so seamlessly. I love how attentive you are, even when the service bar is slammed. The flavor were perfectly balanced, and was cooked to absolute perfection. It was so incredibly tender I could cut it with a butter knife. From the host who greeted me with a smile to the entire staff made me feel like VIP. My churrasco was so perfect, juicy. We dined at Carnicero Steakhouse with a reservation, but the wait was still longer than expected, which was a bit disappointing. Once seated, the service and atmosphere were fine. The steak itself was good and well prepared, but the portion size felt smaller compared to other steakhouses in a similar category and price range. The menu also felt somewhat limited, especially for kids, as there weren't many kid-friendly options, which made it a little less ideal for families. Overall, it wasn't a bad experience and the food was decent, but it didn't really stand out enough for me to want to come back regularly. If it's your first time I highly recommend "las croquettes" to start. They're delicious and fried to perfection. Also a great choice for you and the date is the "Carnicero board" it has a wide variety of items from the menu and it is delicious. The prices are also very fare. Very disappointing experience. The seating arrangements were poorly managed and extremely uncomfortable. The service was slow, inattentive, and it felt like the staff had no interest in taking care of their customers. The most disappointing part was that after waiting and dealing with the poor service, we decided to get up and leave--and no one even acknowledged us or seemed to care. That alone says a lot about how little they value their guests. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this restaurant. Beautiful steakhouse in the Kendall area with a great atmosphere and a strong start to the meal. The croquetas were excellent and the wagyu tartare was honestly the highlight of the night. Unfortunately, the experience went downhill with the main courses. We ordered a picanha and a filet, both cooked medium, but both arrived well done. That is a major miss for a steakhouse. As someone who enjoys cooking steaks at home, it is disappointing to see a restaurant specializing in steak get the temperatures completely wrong. Outstanding steak house. We started with two delicious drinks, one was made with mezcal and jalapeño and the other was tequila and fresh pineapple juice. Both were so refreshing and delicious. We ordered a couple of appetizers; the Spanish style garbanzos were my favorite and then we shared the Wagyu Steak and their grilled salad, both were to die for. The quality of the food in this restaurant is outstanding. The flavors and the attention to detail shows on the very first bite. This food is made with passion. I was extremely impressed with this restaurant. The vibe felt expensive and elegant but the prices were actually decent. I am getting ahead of myself because we obviously started with the appetizers. We had the empanadas, the tar tare, chorizo and everything was absolutely amazing. Those we had the loaded with artisanal meats and cheeses that pair beautifully with their house-made sauces. They were paired with a sort of chimichurri sauce that just paired really nice. Before that, we obviously got some drinks. The family favorite of course, was the sangria pitcher. Not 1, not 2, but 4! I know, that good. I had a craft cocktail, which was a Mezcal Sour and it was perfectly smoky and citrusy. The service was overall great. Will be back! read more

I wanted to give this place a try since a few friends had come and I had mixed reviews from them. The restaurant is super welcoming and has a great vibe. The bar is comfortable enough for eating if it no tables are available... which is common. The restaurant is usually full. When we arrived, without a reservation, they said about 30 minutes to get seated, and it was just about right. We got a few drinks at the bar and appetizers to calm the hunger. The wagyu carpaccio is very good as it was the ceviche. I personally think the ceviche can use some spiciness to make it better. Once seated, our server Lili was super attentive and very friendly. She was always available, and everything came out of the kitchen in a timely manner. I would say that the steak needed seasoning and the sides like the Moros were a bit gummy. The carnicero board is plentiful and good for 2 people, maybe 3, depending on tank capacity. The best thing was actually the chicken. It was moist and seasoned perfectly. Everything else... just okay. The branzino (fish of the day) was grilled nicely, and it is a good choice for the ones that do not like meat. We only waited about eight minutes for a table, so we must have arrived at just the right time. Even though the self standing restaurant is tucked into a strip mall, parking was easy, and once inside, the atmosphere felt very upscale. The servers were not only friendly but also extremely knowledgeable about the menu. They described the dishes in detail and offered excellent recommendations. The energy in the restaurant was great. Several nearby tables were celebrating special occasions, and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. This was the first time we were at this restaurant. I was a little hesitant because this location has been many different restaurants. It had a really nice vibe. We tried making reservations but they don't make any on the weekends. There were a lot of people so I suggest getting there early for dinner. The food was amazing. The meats were not overly seasoned. I was a little bit afraid of that. We ordered the parilla that brought a little bit of everything. They told us it was for 2 people but it can definitely feed more. Overall positive experience. We arrived on a Thursday around 6:30pm, no wait. Ordered a Put-In cocktail and the smallest glass bottle baby coke, along with 2 sausages and croquetas. Then went with a churrasco with maduros, more croquetas and the fried rice. Something about the sausage didn't sit well with me so I had half a bite. The croquetas were fire - bechamel, very smooth. The churrasco had great flavor but was a very small portion (8 oz), maduros were dry, and the fried rice was absolute fire! I will go back again and again just for that. My put-in cocktail was amazing, as well. The service was not great. Our server disappeared a lot and wasn't around when we needed to order additional drinks or ask for the check. Once we paid and were ready to head out, there was a huge line outside. The lighting is a bit weird - overhead & bright - but overall the decor and vibe of the place is very nice. Impeccable all the way! From just opening the door and the smell of just good food hits your nose instantly. Love the decor, the huge chandelier in the center, the bar, just everything. This restaurant is 5 stars hands down. The wait was quick, the seating great, the service awesome, the food freaking delicious! We loved everything so much we came back the next day. The first night we were a party of 10 celebrating a birthday. We ordered the appetizer of the frito de malanga which came with a honey to dip and the waygu carpaccio..perfect starters. Then around the table there was picanha, churrasco, lamb, fries, tostones, house and cesar salad. Pick any, they were all perfectly cooked ,seasoned, melt in your mouth delicious! We also surprised the birthday girl with a dessert that came in a pineapple which was like a brule but the taste is just a different taste of sweetness that truly stands out. And when they broufgt it out the presentation amd staff made it seem like VIP up in the club. We all had just a fantastic evening! I am beyond ecstatic that this steak house is a definite keeper! I'm very disappointed in their group policy. I really wanted to celebrate my birthday at Carnicero. We celebrated a dear friend's birthday there last year & it was 17 people. Everything went smooth & all was great. I called to make a reservation for 18 people a few days ago & I was told by the manager that a group that size would have to pay for a special menu & it would cost $60 PER PERSON. That's insanely expensive!! I asked for an exception as a repeat customer & I was told no. This morning I got a text to confirm 18. I had to change to a different restaurant last minute for fear that my guest would be charged $60 per person. I'm so pissed & disappointed bc I really wanted to eat there on my birthday. BEWARE if you are going there with a group. Food is great but not worth $60 per person with a limited menu plus 18% service charge not including a tip. read more
