2 scoops bday cake dough cookie and chocolate pretzel

Updateddddd So I baked the cookies! And HOLY MOLY they were delicious! Read so many reviews "The dough taste like flour... if you like eating my flour this is your place" Well.... Let me just say this... if you don't LoVe the dough by itself in the cup... take that beautiful baby home shove it in the oven and eat that shiz in its natural form... or whatever ( it's meant to be baked... so is it natural as a cookie? Or as the dough... ). I am def coming back to try the other doughs... baked! The flavor changed SO drastically is was insane! And I was so pleasantly surprised!

The first time trying out Out the Dough, we were excited to try the different flavors and ordered Deja Brew, Fruity Pebbles, and the third was probably Baklava. At first I thought they all tasted similar, like vanilla, but I saw a comment saying that the cookie dough tastes like flour, which I agree with. There wasn't a strong between the flavors. Other menu items include shakes, coffee drinks, ice cream, cookies, cupcakes, etc. We have come back a couple of times, and the two women employees are quite nice, but the other person who works here seems unwelcoming and intimidating. I thought it was just a one-off when we first asked where we could find the cookie dough flavor menu and he pointed to the side and walked away, but on a different occasion he just took the card when we paid and I suppose he doesn't really talk to customers, or we just catch him when he's having an off day.

First time to Out the Dough and we really loved it! After biking from Martinez to Benicia and back, we decided we needed a treat. So we stopped here for a little treat. My husband got the mint chip and I got a Carmel banana (?). Both were delicious and much needed! The young lady working here was super nice and welcoming.

Located inside Market & Main right as you walk in. Mini me ordered a dessert for us to share of her choice. I felt like the service was fast and friendly. The gal was even nice to give us a spoon prior to our ordering for a meal we got at another place here before dessert. Mini me and I shared a medium sized cup of Oreo cookie dough with cookies n cream ice cream and we loved it! Glad that we got that size and to share! It was so good and it was a little rich for me but that's why I was glad we share but it made me need something meaty afterwards lol. Glad that I do not have this place in my city. It could be dangerous.

Out The Dough inside the Market on Main...this has to be amazing! Having ice cream while watching a music performance. I am used to having Out The Dough in Concord but Martinez has struck gold. Martinez resident can have Out The Dough instead of driving to Concord. Inside the market is amazing. It is like going to Public Market in Emeryville but smaller. There are plenty of tables to sit down to enjoy Out The Dough. I tried the place recently. It is amazing that this location is near a bar and Vietnamese place. I love the display of what flavor Out The Dough serves. Grab Out the Dough and enjoy eating it while walking in Martinez.

I haven't had sweets in months, but when I saw they had ube gelato & ube cream pie, I just had to! I got a small ube gelato & let me tell you.. It tastes authentic! It's super cute in here, the employees seemed shy, but sweet.

The cookie dough is amazing! Cookies and cream is a fav. And their new soft serve is super yummy! Got pizza from their pizza place next to it (same owners) and then ice cream after. Loved the visit. Sign up for their email offers!

Searched for an ice cream shop in Martinez and was thrilled to find this place!! Not only did they have VEGAN options, gluten free options also! Dark chocolate sorbet has the most intense flavor, not bitter like so many dark/dairy-free chocolate. And the texture is smooth, creamy... it felt like gelato. Truly impressive. The cookie dough is delicious as it's own forbidden sweet and also baked up as cookies. You can tell a true food lover and professionally trained chef is behind their products. I was blown away I could enjoy alongside my friends. Such a warm welcome from the team. Eager to help me find what sounded most yummy .. offering free samples.. not only did I STOCK UP.. but I will surely be back. Thank you thank you thank you.

Good as in an Asian guy saying that it's not that sweet but lots of ube flavor good! The cotton candy had a good taste of cotton candy with a little spice kick at the end. Both totally enjoyable! Service is fast and friendly. The owners saw us with kids and they offered an extra cookie for the little ones. Totally family friendly! The space is open with tables and a couch in the corner. First time, and a while since we'd been at a gelato place, many of our favorites having closed their doors. I also was curious how it would compare to our super premium ice cream haunts. Lots of flavors! You can get two flavors in a small cup ($8.99) - my wife chose a combo of ube and espresso. I went with chocolate and salted caramel. Although not cheap, the cup was packed with a generous amount. There's a decent amount of seating - and our parking spot had one hour before it turned into a pumpkin - so we could relax and enjoy the gelato. Wow, this is the real thing! Made fresh daily, obviously with quality ingredients. My Filipino wife loves her Ube, but has a hard time finding some that meets her standards. She loved this ube gelato - continually commenting on its creaminess. Her espresso gelato had that nice coffee-infused zing. My chocolate gelato was amazing, and the salted caramel wasn't bad either. This place definitely gives that super premium ice cream a run for the money - and that's saying something. We'll be sure to return.

I guess the rent isn't too bad because the place is small, but it is nice and the service is really good too! Definitely will be back! I'm actually no longer as surprised at the stellar ratings. The waffle cone is included in the price so make sure to specifically ask for it, I made the mistake of not specifying and it would be 50 cents on the side (probably due to sharing, the single scoop is $5.99 and the triple scoop is $7.99)

You have plenty of options at VF, but Venchi holds a special place in my heart as it's not too heavy, not too sweet, and really has a flavor for everyone. My previous go-to was a certain store located outside known for unique flavors that rotate every month. Unfortunately, their flavors have gotten a bit too crazy for me, and are oftentimes so sweet that it's hard to finish a single portion without sharing. At Venchi, I can easily eat a regular size by myself and feel so satisfied after. One thing to know before you go is that you pay first before you sample, so you'll need to commit to how many flavors and what size you want before sampling. I highly recommend upgrading to the freshly made waffle cone. There's a lot of other options like adding chocolate and other toppings to your cone, but that's completely up to you. As for the sampling, the people working there are very patient and generous, and will let you sample to your heart's content! If you have specific preferences (like you prefer less sweet or maybe even more sweet), they're happy to share their recommendations as well. My go to is pistachio and cremino, which is like a more hazelnutty version of nutella (and also less sweet than nutella). PS - make sure to sign up for their rewards program! This Hercules CA location is for their main office, not a retail storefront, but this HQ page is the only place I could think of to post my "Bravo" comments because my discovery of Naia was at Boise's Whole Foods. Happy surprise it is there given most of Naia's distribution is in Northern or Southern CA. Some flavors of both Naia sorbetto and gelato can be had in bar shapes and are displayed in a little freezer case. (In the Boise WF store it was near the coffee bar on the cusp of produce.) I note this same case, so it is Naia provided, in social media for other retailers and on Naia's FB page. Look for it at your retailer if they're in your area because the bar we chose, Recchiuti Burnt Caramel, was fantabulous for flavor and texture. And at only 150 calories in the bar it is guilt free to boot. (And yes, 'that Recchiuti' as in the famous SF located chocolatier and candy maker.) My Italian on both sides hubby thought it was delicious too and he is pretty-picky about gelato. I did peruse all the flavors of Naia pints in the freezer case in WF ice cream aisle but I had another errand after shopping and I knew my choices wouldn't stay frozen so I was going to leave empty handed. Then I literally said "yahoo" right out loud (seriously) when I saw the frozen bar little freezer display as I left produce for check out because a bar could be eaten in vehicle on the errand route. Next week's errand will be taking a cooler with ice packs in it to WF to load up one of each flavor to bring home along with a supply of different bars and park all in my home freezer to work my way through them between now and Labor Day. Who will judge? Life is short. PS If you're looking for retailers that sell Naia their map is here: https://www.gelaterianaia.com/wheretofind

The Strawberry Fresca was super refreshing -- fruity and almost like it's mixed with soda, and still creamy at the same time. A really nice balance that makes it perfect for a warm day. The Apple Pie leans more on the creamy and sweet side.
