I am usually too lazy to drive far out for food, but since I had someone else in the car with me and I was craving food, I finally went to check this place out. It's a small dine in place that kind of remind me of a cafeteria. I was in the mood for snacking and decided to check out their tteokbokki and kimbap. I really liked their kimbap. It was infused with sesame oil. Ttokbokki had a nice kick to it. There was one server, but it wasn't a long wait for the food to come out. Friendly staff who also asked if we wanted refill on the kimchi and pickle radish. Their Jajangmyeon looked delicious, but I wasn't that hungry to be able to finish that giant bowl. I came here for lunch with my mom because my mom wanted black bean noodles. And I ordered the beef rib soup because I wanted to try something new. My mom said that the black bean noodle was a bit more on the saltier side. When I tried it, it wasn't extremely salty or anything. It also came with pickled radish and this not kimchi cabbage thing. Like kimchi trickery. My beef rib soup was pretty good! I ate it with rice because it came with rice. My mom liked the soup! She said it wasn't salty. It was quite flavorful actually. The beef was semi fatty, so all The taste was there. I felt like it wasn't lean meat or anything. Probably not good for my diet, but that's okay. It was still a great meal! Our all time favorite place for dinner! Super quick and friendly service. I love their salmon Korean rolls and spicy seafood noodles! Their beef rib soup are pretty good too, but a tiny bit greasy for me but my husband loves it. Spicy seafood rice is amazing too if you feel like eating rice. First off, this is a semi self served restaurant. There's water, hot tea and sauces right when you walk into the restaurant. The place is small and cute. We ordered the spicy w/cold Broth noodles and JaJangMyean Black bean sauce noodle. Let's start with the spicy cold noodle. It was delicious. My only suggestion is not to add any of the extra sauces. They make it perfect already. I tried adding more of the spicy sauce and that just made it more salty instead of spicy. The black bean sauce noodle was good. Solid Korean pop food joint. I am allergic to MSG and so far no reactions and foods are more than decent in terms of taste and portion. I understand there is inflation so I get their pricing. I saw young people up front and moms and pops are probably cooking in the back. I like this place for lunch and maybe late lunch. I wish they would thrive as it's hard to find good place where they serve good decent food. I can safely tell everyone lese that my experiences have been very good so far. I've been here once before and had their cold noodle dish (naengmyun) which was quite delicious. Unfortunately, I could not say the same for today's visit. We had their spicy rice cake and added ramen noodles and also had an order of their spicy octopus and pork with rice. The spicy octopus and pork came out first and upon trying it, it actually wasn't spicy at all instead it was sweet. It was stir fried with cabbage, onion and green onion.The white rice made up for the sweetness of the sauce they cooked the octopus and pork in. My fiancé said that he actually really enjoyed it and would order it again. I feel like the sauce they used for the spicy octopus pork dish was the same as the spicy rice cake sauce because it tasted the same. But since the spicy rice cakes were saturated in that sauce it was overly sweet. I found myself reaching for water after every bite or taking some rice with eat bite to balance the sweetness. The rice cakes weren't as chewy as I've had at other restaurants, it was really soft like mochi. The ramen texture was really good though, it was al dente. As much as I love spicy rice cakes this just didn't do it for me. I ended up not finishing it. The service here was actually really great, we were seated right away and our orders were taken immediately. The portions here are quite generous which is great. The waters/tea and condiments are self serve! Unfortunately today's visit just didn't the spot for my spicy rice cake craving but the service was great and my fiancé enjoyed his dish. I've come here a couple of times. The place is small but has a cute ambiance! I've tried the small tangsuyuk and it was crispy not too salty. The cold noodles and jjajangmyeon are great here too. The portion sizes are a bit larger than normal so be prepared. My favorite thing to order here is the galbitang. The rib bones they give actually come meaty! Came here twice and they have pretty good service. I say the ambiance is pretty homely with the tables and deco. Water and tea is self-served. I got dumpling soup the first time and I really enjoyed the flavor of the soup. It also included rice cakes. The portion is pretty big too. I think the portions overall are good at Otto Kitchen. Two of my other friends got a rice and noodle dish and both portions were huge. They each seemed to be for 2 people. The second time I got kimbap, which was pretty good. I think you get about 8 rolls or more. I also got jajangmyeon and thought the portion was worth the money. I do wish the sauce was thicker and had more potatoes and veggies. read more

Nothing like korean home cooking! This place is clean, quaint and very homey. We've gotten take out from here many times since it is down the street from my parents' house. It is affordable and delicious. I wish the menu was more of a variety..we usually order the same few things. We've had their kimchi fried rice, spicy noodles, regular kimbap, short rib soup (legit! great when sick or on a cold rainy day!), and dopokki. I always get the chicken teriyaki for my kiddo which is a huge portion. Everything has been delicious!! I called ahead and asked if their food was prepared with MSG. They were very nice and said that some dishes were but they would be happy to prepare anything that I wanted without it. Great! Most Korean restaurants don't offer the option to prepare without it. I got there pretty late about 8 PM on a weeknight and they were a few people there the server came over right away and took my order. I ordered the fried dumplings and the pork katsu because I was in the mood for fried stuff as you could see. They served with pickled radish and kimchee which were both really good. The dumplings came out pretty quick and had a really great dipping sauce. The Pork Katsu was a big serving and had a really good sauce as well. Everything was delicious and fresh. Service was excellent and I am looking forward to going back to try some other dishes! read more

If you want a cheap, quality, Korean meal, come here! We came here around 7:30pm and immediately got seated. The restaurant is decently sized, but it can get really crowded during lunch time (be sure to come after the rush). The menu had a decent variety of Korean food. As you wait for your food, there's a self serve water and tea area, as well as sauces. They also provide small dishes of radish and kimchi as appetizers (which you can also get refills on!) Really loved our server Jasmin!!! I didn't know what the nangmyeon was, but she gave a good explanation and told me her preference on the noodles. The noodles I got were in a cold, spicy broth, perfect for the summer weather! They put ice in it, which kept my noodles cold throughout the whole meal. The noodles were very unique; they have a slight vinegar taste, but it mixed well with the spicy sauce. Small restaurant in the corner of a lot near Paris Baguette. This is my go to spot for JaJangMyeon and Tang Su Yuk (similar to Chinese sweet and sour pork). I've tried the kimchi fried rice, which I don't recommend as it was a little bland, but I definitely recommend the black bean noodles and pork. Portions are large - you can probably feed about four people with one order of the noodles and one order of the pork. They give you plenty of sauce when you order to go, too. Prices may seem a bit high for the location, but you get plenty of (good) food. read more

I think the jajamein was the weakest dish. A little too dry, but that could have been because we got it togo. But other than that the service was fast and friendly. Generous portions and kind service! I got the kal guk su and my friends got the kimchi fried rice and the nengmyon. I'm a sucker for hand pulled noodles and the clam broth was very soothing after a long day. There was plenty of noodles in the bowl as well! For someone who can't really handle spicy food, I could still handle the spiciness of the kimchi fried rice and the nengmyon! I reallllly liked the kimchi fried rice - a little sweet and flavorful. Granted they can fit 6/7 people together by bringing two tables together, but more than that is going to be difficult for the place to accommodate. Besides that, they have your very own self-service where you get your drinks (e.g. water). 《Service = 3.5/5》 Quick to order, but there seem to be a lag on the staff when it came to asking them for an extra small bowl. It took a couple of tries to finally get what was asked. 《Food = 4/5》 I order the Spicy Jajangmyeon(Black Bean Noodle) with Pork and it was pretty good. Preferably I would like to up the spiciness a bit, but for those who has a low tolerance for spicy food, it is the right amount. Portion-wise, it could definitely be share between 2 people. I was able to finish mine completely (phew), but if you don't have a big appetite I recommend sharing the bowl with another person because it is a lot to take in. read more

Friendly staff, I ordered kimbap to go. They even give you turnips with your order to go and soup. It's a bit pricey for the food you get. I spent $18 on 3 orders of kimbap which was not much a big order each. Taste wise... Not my favorite but also not the worse. I worked there as a kid, through college and beyond, so I'm a big fan of mom and pop shops. As far as I'm concerned, this is the best little shop around when it comes to standard, good, cheap-er Korean food. I just love it. Why you should come and visit: 1. Menu: It's not intimidating. They have pictures with almost everything. Even people who don't read Korean or understand Korean have a good time ordering here. 2. Friendly staff: Don't take this wrong but tiny hole in the wall places by Asian-Americans aren't always the most friendly places. THIS IS NOT LIKE THAT. The ladies here are SO POLITE, SO PATIENT. I've seen them wait on people who obviously have never had Korean food before. They smile, make recommendations, and are so polite. I was super impressed with this. 3. Good prices: We live in a place where prices are ridiculous. And they can charge it because of where we are. This place isn't like that. I'm really glad I can have good eats for under $10 in a sit down place. I highly recommend the first two items on the menu. Honestly, don't try anything else unless you're dying to know. There is a reason why those dishes are #1 and #2. I would say unless you like it REALLY spicy, stick to medium or mild. Even the mild has a bit of a kick (I'm thinking of all my mild-tongued friends outside of CA). Fair warning! Great place to take your kids and friends from out of town. For some reason, this place is still called "E-TeliYaki" on the outside of it... I have no idea why, but it made it quite difficult to find, even when the entire lot was completely empty. I was looking for OTTO the entire time... I was excited for this place because of the great reviews I read here, but I was slightly disappointed in the food that I received. I ordered the kimbap and was sad when I got it because it was like 80% rice. It wasn't filling at all and didn't have much flavor either since it was just all rice. I also tried some of my friend's kimchi fried rice and I didn't think it was all that great either. I thought this place was just ~okay~ It's more traditional Korean food so it definitely has that "home sweet home" feel to it. Will definitely pass on this place if I had to try it again though. read more

Usually you come in and seat yourself, shortly after someone brings you a menu and takes your order. Yesterday evening I sat myself with my daughter for about 10 minutes no one came to the table and when they did they asked if we were waiting for a friend. I said no we would like to order and was told to order at the register. Im Mexican and my daughter is bi racial I thought well it's a pandemic maybe they are doing things differently. One of my favorite little spots to pick up dinner near my job when i have a late work night. Made fresh to order and satisfying when you are hangry. The portions are large so you can definitely share. My favorites are the kimchi fried rice, sweet-and-sour pork, Mongolian beef noodles, and of course the teriyaki plates. Outside says "e-teliyaki" - looks like OTTO is a new restaurant and hasn't changed over the signage. Inside, the restaurant gives off a cute homey vibe. The service is great - friendly and attentive. The food is delicious. Had the naeng myeon (spicy, cold broth), toppoki, and kimbap. All were delicious!!! The prices here are very reasonable also - dinner was $20 plus some change for two people.
