    Avocado toast and chilaquiles

The place is always crowded, the food is amazing, if you're going to breakfast order the chilaquiles, bursting with flavor and big enough to share.

Located in South town off of U avenue. Plenty of street parking around the building. They are closed Mondays and Tuesday. So super excited to see that they have online ordering now! We love to get their breakfast burrito to-go. Made very fresh and with great flavor. The salsa that comes on the side is also phenomenal. Highly recommend their other dishes as well. They have picnic table seating outside for the warmer days and inside seating for the colder ones. We always receive top notch service from the staff and our order is always made promptly. They are good so they get really busy at times and there may be a long wait. This is a must-eat when visiting town! Also is just a block or two from the beach and from the start of the south-end of the promenade.

A cute breakfast cafe right by the waters. Sat by the window to enjoy our breakfast after checkout at a nearby Airbnb. We came on Jan 1, was quite busy inside but was served well. We loved both the French toast and chilaquiles equally. Quaint and perfect start to the day

Delicious food + friendly service + a cozy converted beach house = Osprey Café in Seaside. We enjoyed our breakfast SO MUCH the first day, we came back the next! The first day I tried the huevos rancheros with 2 arepas, shredded chicken, black beans, queso fresco and home fries. I had never had arepas, so I was eager to try them and they were delicious! As we were eating, a plate went past on its way to another diner and I called over our server to ask what it was. It was the nasi goreng plate, which I had considered before choosing the huevos. So the next day, true to our word, we returned. No need for menus, I knew EXACTLY what I wanted: nasi goreng! A GENEROUS serving of Indonesian style rice stir fried with finely diced veggies, sautéed shrimp and shredded chicken, topped with a perfectly sunny egg and garnished with 3 beautiful prawn crackers. WOW! An absolute winner! Both days hubs went with his standard egg, bacon, pancake breakfast and was very happy with his choice as well. All the staff work really hard to handle the steady stream of customers, but do it with friendly smiles and great attitudes. Felt like we were eating at the home of our fave auntie! We would DEF return for thirds - and fourths - if we were staying in Seaside that long. Cheers! "CC"

A very cozy place with artistic and cute tableware. The food is fresh, and the staff are incredibly warm and friendly, which made the whole experience delightful. The only thing to note is that the portions are a little small.

Nice atmosphere and kind servers! I came in the morning after an eventful night and it hit the spot. I loved the Nasi Goreng however I will say it was pretty salty but I was downing it no thoughts about it

Osprey Café on the Oregon Coast nails the casual beachside vibe. If you're craving seafood, their shrimp salad is a must-- creamy shrimp salad on a huge pile of greens. But let's talk about the shrimp rolls. Dad and Aunt Jo both got one. They are HUGE, easily about a foot long, packed with juicy shrimp, and totally drool-worthy. The café is just steps away from the beach. It's the perfect lunch stop before a seaside stroll.

Great service and food We arrived right at 8am when they opened with already a group in front of us. The staff was cheerful for a dreary morning. They have a menu of breakfast options and rotating daily specials. I had the omelette special and it was plenty of food. Our waitress was great and the tables were fun to explore with the foreign money on display. Easy to walk to as well.

Chef's salad with in house ranch dressing with lots of fresh dill.

Where the locals go for good, affordable breakfast and lunch. Not in the heart of the tourist area. Offers a good selection of American and Mexican dishes -- even one Indonesian. We had a chef salad and a huevos rancheros, both great.

Oh my goodness, this place is just adorable! Perfect for moms like me trying to find a quiet moment while our children run wild. Highly recommend their omelette (I paired it with the french toast and nearly cried from happiness). Can't wait to come back with the book club!

One of the best breakfasts I've ever had. The arepas are a thing of magic. Crunchy, smooth, perfection. You can also get the eggs Benedict with arepas (just do it). The huevos rancheros was so good! We also had the fried oysters, perfectly fried, seasoned, and breaded. The French toast was amazing too. The Bloody Mary is perfect as was the French 75. Service was great and this place is so cute. Highly highly highly recommend!!!

Hangtown Fry with seasoned fries (like Jojo's) ,Pan fried oysters and the best omelette you can ever imagine !!!!!

Food was delivery and absolutely amazing ! Driver had excellent customer service and it was delivered with care ! Can't wait to stop in for in house experience and I'm sure what will be great atmosphere !

The food is amazing! We had the burrito and the Dungeness crab Benedict. Service was great as well. They just need some heaters outside!

    Do you allow pet outside?

As of May this year, they had a big tent outside with tables where dogs were allowed.

    Do they have high chairs?

Yes, our grandson used one. They also have an excellent children's menu!

Have you ever gone to the Pig and Pancake and ordered a $16 plate of slop, wolfed it down, and then…read moresaid, "Oh God, what have I done?" Yeah, me too. That's why I've decided to stop hurting myself and go to the Chalkboard Cafe instead. The difference in quality of ingredients and cooking is apparent in the first bite. It really is a bit jarring. This restaurant makes everything from scratch, and I mean everything. Yesterday my son and I got two burgers and our potato salad and coleslaw sides were like sides my mother would make in her kitchen, not globs of shelf stable Reser's food-paste that were made two states over a month ago and sprayed with mortuary chemicals to stop their decay. The food at the Chalkboard is real food, not fake food, which brings me to my next point, dietary restrictions. If I had any dietary restrictions whatsoever, gluten sensitivity in particular, this would be where I would go for breakfast or lunch in Seaside. Chalkboard has gluten free biscuits and gravy available, delicious GF naan bread made by hand, and gluten free versions of popular bakery goods made in their small kitchen from scratch. Even if you don't have restrictions you can be assured that your meal will have 80% less total ingredients just based on the restaurant's ethics alone. They aren't taking shortcuts, they aren't bringing junk into the building in the first place, so junk never ends up on your plate. The service is stellar, the ambiance is charming and clean. You're out of excuses. You were wondering where you should go to eat, and now you know. Go to the restaurant where the locals take their own families - the Chalkboard Cafe.

This place needs ventilation very badly. You will walk out of there smelling like the smoke from a…read morebusy kitchen. The soda bagel thing is over rated. I liked the airy texture. But I didn't care too much for the flavor. Genuinely not good. And the cream cheese it came with, zero flavor, which was easily remedied by adding my own salt. The ambience and decor was quaintly charming, at first. But the more I looked the more understood that everything was creepy. Like witchcraft creepy.
