Fairly good experience here. True, I still love the og one more but their new location is comparable. What made it 4 stars vs 5??? Well, my friend and I both ordered the Gordo burger failing to notice the first topping listed was chicharron. I dislike pork skins of any kind but these had a raw/slimy texture. Really grossed me and my more tolerant friend out. Both of us scraped these off the burger and the rest of the meal went on as usual. My friend pointed out that typically if you list chicharron as a topping they are usually crispy and light...not the case. This place is one of my favorites in Milwaukee. Go with a group a friends so you can try all the burgers (or most of them)! The Asada fries were delicious. It was so good we ordered another one. The tikka masala wings were also good. I've never tried this flavor anywhere else so this was a first. My favorite burger was the macho burger. It was topped with marinated pork which almost tasted like a cross between a burger and torta. I'd definitely come back for this was again. Oscar has outdone himself with this new location. Plenty of tvs, massive tap list, beautiful decor and still my favorite burger in the city. I had the bahn mi burger cooked to my perfect med rare, and it was seriously one of the best things I've ever eaten. Next time I'm adding jalepenos. Nice place, good fish fry, good beer selection, right across from MADACC so an excellent place to stop in before adopting a cat or after rescuing a cat. Good customer service, and really I like this location better than the original. Looking at the earlier reviews, I just wonder how hard it must be to start up a restaurant even if you do know what you're doing. I'm glad I waited until they knew what they were doing. read more

When we got home and opened our container expecting to see their wonderful burger with glorious toppings, we found a plane burger with cheese. Good local spot near the ballpark in a residential neighborhood. Friendly folks with many beer selections. Liked the MKE Cream Ale. I'm watching the waistline so I went with the pollo loco wrap, which was ok--a lot of lettuce and minimal chicken with a bit of kick to it. My son ordered a Macho burger and he only got through half of it--unusual for him! He described it as amazing, overwhelming--"A lot going on" in his words. In my opinion Oscar's Winner's Circle and the original location have the most delicious burgers in Milwaukee at the most reasonable prices. The Bahn Mi burger comes with pickled radish, onions, and carrots, melted cheesy goodness, cilantro, and a sesame garlic aioli.... with fries for only $7.75!!! No additional ketchup or mustard is needed on this burger; it is perfect. All burgers come with Parmesan dusted fries that are delicious. They also have a great beer selection. My family and I, total of 5, came in on a Saturday at 12:45pm and had the WORSE young girl wait on us. She had an attitude off the bat and was not personable at all. To the point where we didn't even stay for food. My sister spilled a drink and the young girl was so bothered by us. When she came back with a rag she said "Can I clean it up" with an attitude. I really hope the business owners hold their staff accountable for how they act especially when customers get up and leave and the business looses business. read more

Heartbreaking to find, that we waited sooooo long for this?!? We LOVE the Pierce location, this was nothing close. Of 9 people, 4 had incorrect orders. Not small mistakes either. No one had a burger cooked to their requested liking. I requested rare and received a burned hockey puck. Also, why even waste our time, reading long-winded descriptions of amazing toppings, when we dissected the creations, there was no sign of 5 of the 8 toppings on our Macho, Gordo or Winner burger. The servers showed no interest in our issues, we had a Gluten allergy at our table who ordered no bun, and when the burger arrived with a bun... they just took it off in front of us!?! I want to say we will try again soon, since we live only a few blocks away.... but I dont think we will :( read more

Out of all the bars in Milwaukee area, this one is probably my new favorite. Everything about this place made me want to come back. They had about 20 beers on tap that were VERY affordable along with a 2$ mystery bottle off craft beer where they randomly grab a craft beer and give it to you. The staff was very accommodating and nice as well. After all of that, the food was the real shiner. Everyone in my party of 7 got one of their unique .5 lb burgers with their various additions and loved every bite. The burgers are expertly made and cooked to order perfectly. The side of fries has a hint of parmesan as well as a fresh cut feel. And after everyone got a beer and a burger, the entire bill was around 70$!! I will definitly come back here often read more

Horrible service from the male bartender. Didn't acknowledge me in the least when I was picking up my order. A female server asked for payment and he brought food over but didn't hand it to me, he placed it on the bar in front of two other guys that were dining at the bar and plain walked away? He obviously hates his job and can care less if the business he works for is successful, he's obviously in the wrong business. This was a while back but the owner needs to hire friendlier people that understand the customer service concept. We don't buy from a venue and like being treated like it doesn't matter by staff. People will think twice before ordering again if it means dealing with peoples bad attitudes. read more

Well... I want to preface this by saying I completely understand they were WAAAY busier than they normally will be (they've been open just a few days) and the staff was clearly absolutely slammed. I'm excited to go back and try again after things settle down a bit. The place is small and we waited about a half hour to be seated. There isn't really a waiting area of any sort but again, there is probably not a need for one once the hype settles. Service was friendly, although obviously overwhelmed. The food was... fine. We LOVE the original Oscars and didn't feel that the burgers compared- my husbands was bordering on well done when medium was requested. The cook on mine was closer, but the wax-paper that separates cheese slices was still on the cheese... like, inside my burger. I probably ate a bite or two of it before I figured out what was so tough... Now to be fair we didn't bother the server with these issues and I imagine they would have been happily rectified. After the wait and with all the chaos of just opening we just moved on and ate as we were starving. I had the bahn mi which was pretty good, cheese malfunction aside. My husband had the gordo which he found pretty underwhelming although to be fair he was probably mentally comparing to the Big O which isn't even a competition. I can't stress enough how much we want to come back in a month or two and try again but the first try was a miss. read more

Nice atmosphere and bar. Lots of TV's to watch games, but the Burger fell short of my expectations. The Bun and toppings were superb, but it tasted like a frozen patty to me. I guess my expectations were higher since I've heard nothing but good things about oscars. The fries were very good. I would come back and maybe just have an appetizer and beer at the bar while watching a game. I came in on a Thursday around 2pm only a few other customers there so the service was fast. The waitress was friendly and attentive this is why I gave it 4 starts instead of 3. If the patty was more flavorful I would have given this place 5 stars. read more

As a longtime fan of Oscar's Pub, I was really looking forward to Oscar's second location on Burnham. But I'm sad to say something is missing. The menu is slightly expanded, compared to the original Pub. The quality of meat in the burgers is still excellent, but it's just not got that wonderful steaky-ness the Pub has. Side dishes are more of a disappointment. Onion rings taste more like your basic industrial ring rather than those amazing beer batter o-rings served at the Pub. Cole slaw was also less than great. In all, it's not terrible. And the prices remain amazingly cheap (like $5 for the basic half-pound burger!). But the gastronomic thrill just isn't there. The location has lots of windows and the restaurant is bright and open. But, man, is it noisy! And I don't mean music noisy either, since there was none the night we were there. But the acoustics seem to magnify every conversation in room! Even though it was early evening and the place was only about one-third full, it was so noisy I could barely carry on a conversation. read more

Today we decided to go there and grab a burger. We've been there many times before. Well tonight was a horrible experience! They had the air conditioning on so cold that we decided to sit outside. First of all the service there was slow, but we have gotten accustomed to that because they always seem to have only one server working for all the customers to include getting the drinks. The food finally came out, and the fries were freakin ice cold. Then the bun, which usually is on point, warm and crispy, came out cold like it came out of the grocery store. I then went into the bathroom after we were done, and it smelled like a gas station bathroom. We are done with this place! I'm all about consistency, and this place is not. It makes me sad because I know they can do better. I wish I had the owner's phone number so I could have this conversation with him instead of this review. read more
