I really like it at Oscars! It was quite busy on the night we decided to go, but we were able to land a table without waiting. Our waitress was kind and attentive, which was nice. We asked her a lot of questions. We tried the wings, which were so good that we are considering coming back on their Wing Wednesday. My burger was cooked exactly as I asked; medium rare. I always as for medium rare because it's so hard to achieve and when I say "medium" it's too overcooked for my liking. Typically when I ask for medium rare, it's never actually achieved. Let me preface this by saying I am a huge fan of Oscars other location. This one is a little smaller and a bit busier especially on Wednesdays where they have there $0.50 wings. Be prepared to get there early or sit at the bar as it is first come first served. I highly recommend as a no frills and good food place as you will get great wings and be careful as they can get pretty spicy. My son decided to try this Oscars instead of the one on pierce on Friday evening. I had the fish fry for the first time. Solid dinner for a good price. My son enjoyed the hongo along with the fantastic fresh cut fries. We also enjoyed the sampler platter and I wished they had the breaded deep fried beans as a solo appetizer. So good. So, real talk, I've been avoiding this review because I am selfish and I don't want people to know about my fave burger spot!! But I must. This place deserves your business! Oscar's Winner's Circle is absolutely related to Oscar's Pub near Potowatami casino....I'm just especially excited about this one because it's closer to my house! The atmosphere has been pretty chill whenever I have been in. The bar has an impressive rotation of new craft beer all of the time. Each month they feature a local brewery too, which I think is awesome. The bartenders are laid back and, as long as it isn't busy, they are more than happy to give you small samples of beer or offer you advice about the beer so you can be sure to pick a beverage you'll like. They also do a $2 "mystery" shot. IT's in a brown bag behind the bar, which is pretty fun. I got myself and my friend a mystery shot, (because, why not?) and it ended up being Limousine Rye - a fairly expensive bottle of Rye Whiskey! I asked if it was always a top tier alcohol and he said no! Apparently they just pick something exciting and fun. Who knows, maybe you'll end up with an espcially tasty $2 mystery shot....only one way to find out! The food is hot and fresh. The fries are thick cut and seasoned - none of that shoestring stuff. But it's the burgers that I keep coming back for: Juicy, thick beef patties perfectly seasoned and with generous toppings either currated on the menu or you can choose to build you own. I have built my own burger before (see picture), but I have had several of their own burgers and every time they have been wonderful. They also do a great job changing up the menu from time to time, so it doesn't feel stale if you come in often. Two thumbs way up for Oscar's Winner Circle. Worst service ever. We were there waiting to order for 20 minutes. Once they took our order we waited an hour with no food as people around us came and went. I went and found the waitress (who never visited the table once) and asked her if our order was even in. She said "let me check", 15 mins later we had food. It's been a couple of months since I've gone out to eat anywhere due to Covid and having a newborn at home. I was tired of cooking and was craving a good burger. We knew we would get that at Oscars, but have never been to their Winner's Circle location. We decided to go on what we thought was off hours forgetting there was a Packers game on. This location is smaller than the original space, but they did a great job of keeping the tables spaced out, limiting the seats at the bar and customers were respectful and wearing masks even at their tables. I should have looked at their menu before we went as they did not have my favorite, the Big O burger on the menu, so I opted for the MKE burger. The burger satisfied my burger craving and I ate myself full of their delicious fries too! Service was a bit slow and it took awhile to get our food, but it was off hours and they were busy due to the game. Oscars is definitely one of our favorite places to go when craving a burger. read more

I have been to the new Oscars spot a few times now and added them to the small work lunches that I put together and they are always a big hit so I did an impromptu one today. They have always been pretty good with my orders and doneness of the meat being the only problem but it's take out so food keeps cooking in the containers until we eat it so I'm not critical of that. Today Francisco took my order and it was ready on time which I appreciate and back to work I went. As I opened the bags and handed out the appropriate lunches to the fellas and I was left with a burger that I didn't order, the Bahn mi and everyone's order was handed out. SHIT my winner burger was fu%ked up and I received the wrong burger. I called Francisco back and asked if he remembered my lunch order with only one winner burger in it and he says yes so I ask him how did I get a Bahn mi burger, right away he apologized and said that he messed that up and he would replace my order for free when I return. I returned after work and he immediately recognizes me and walked over to me to apologize and to get my correct order going, so I have beer while waiting for my burger which was cold and good. I have got to say that Francisco did a great job at correcting the mistake and making it right because usually places question if you ordered correct. You will find something you like. The Beer Special prices were $4/each, but a shot of JD will set you back $6. Pricey for a Shot. I'm deducting 1/2 star for the Shot prices. Service: I sat at the bar, so they were attentive. Still, those who were sitting in booths appeared to be getting good service too. Ambiance: A smaller place with about 8 tables/booths and about 15 seats at the bar. Still, it's very clean and they have TVs playing sports. Parking: Located on a busy street corner, there is no onsite parking. You will need to park on the street, which could be challenging if the place is busy. I'm deducting a 1/2 star for lack of parking. Overall: I enjoyed my visit. The burger was excellent, the beers are cold and tasty. If you are from Illinois I understand but a true sconnie should always order this burger! My hubby loved his Gordo so that will be my next burger I try. The atmosphere is very open and it wasn't crazy crowded like the other location. They do have a back deck for outdoor dining. If you like beer you will LOVE their selection of beer on-tap. Amazing location and great staff! The burgers are amazing and juicy! Tried the flaca burger for the first time and it was amazing. First time trying a vegetarian impossible burger and it tasted like a real patty. You can have an option to add cheese for $1 but I tried it without. The other burger I also bought was the "Winner burger" and that was AMAZING so flavorful and packed with so much flavor. This place also offers so many beer options with 40 beers on tap. I'm a huge fan of Oscar's original location, so giving the new spot a shot was a no brainer. They're definitely in that beginning business phase of getting everything dialed in, but all in all we enjoyed our experience. For those familiar with the original Oscar's, what to expect: +An extensive tap list. I'm not sure if they have more beers on tap here, but they definitely have at least as many. I got a peanut butter porter that both my dining companion and I were pretty wild about. +They changed up the menu a bit here, so don't expect an identical menu. They do still have some of the standards and still offer the build your own burger. The important thing? The menu definitely keeps with the spirit of the original Oscar's. +The vibe is a bit different. They're still casual, still have TVs for sports viewing, and still have a full bar, but it's just a bit more updated and maybe a bit more open feeling. There's so much to like about Oscar's Winners Circle location, especially for fans of the original location. First, the renovation is great! The space is bright and clean and a huge improvement over the old dive bar that was here. I didn't see any outdoor space available but the interior is beautiful. Second - if you like beer you're going to be very happy with 40 draft selections. I don't but was very happy with my mixed drink. Third - the menu is totally different from the original location. Sure you can build your own but the menu offers a ton of familiar and more creative flavor combos. I opted for the Gordo which offered me salsa verde, bacon, avocados, and chihuahua cheese. There was tons of flavor going on and that salsa verde added the right amount of heat. Definitely in my top 3 burgers EVER!! My co worker realized that our server (forgot her name) appeared to be the only one where it was pretty busy on the side of the restaurant for a Thursday night. She was also cleaning the bathrooms as well as cleaning out the rest of the tables prior to close. Overall this is our second time going and we also have to commend the previous server as well. I really like this place! I only have a small issue with the wings! For some reason every time I order wings I get more of the flats than the drums... eg: 7 flats and 1 drum! Oscar's is quickly becoming one of my favorite restaurants in Milwaukee. First of all, I've had incredible attentive service both times I've been there. Both times it was very busy. This last time I came with a group of 6 during a bucks playoff game and they needed to move two tables together to accommodate us which they did very quickly (and without huffing and puffing about it). I LOVE their beer selection. They have a ton of taps and lots of great beer specials- I believe it's Wednesday nights that all beer taps are only $2! I had a wonderful coconut Porter for $2!!! Their food: they have your bar staples, then they have some wonderful Mexican food dishes delightfully mixed in (carne asada fries I'm talking to you). Their wings are in my top 5 in Milwaukee (along with Ricardo's in Greendale, Jonny Hammers in West Allis, and Dino's in riverwest). This is a great spot to grab a drink (and come on get the wings) with a friend, go watch a game, and just hang out. Big fan of Oscar's Winners Circle. I've been here numerous times since they opened and I've never regretted it. Great food at reasonable prices is a huge draw for me. The proximity to Miller Park is also a plus. The service here is wonderful. Everyone is very friendly and knowledgeable about the beers and food. They have a lot of beers on tap and the staff is happy to help you pick out one you'll like. Ask about specials. They do have a full bar with signature drinks along with your standards if beer is not your jam. On this visit I had the Thursday night taco special. Three tacos with choice of meat, steak or pork on this night. The tacos are accompanied by rice and beans. They have two types of sauces to add, green and red. The red sauce is spicy but taste great while the green is more mild and equally good. These were some tasty tacos. Full of meat, onions and cilantro on corn tortillas. And of course they serve their signature burgers. The menu is different from the original location but the burgers are just as delicious. The Gordo is my favorite. But they have other interesting offerings and you can also build your own. In addition to the burgers they offer sandwiches, salads and appetizers. The burgers and sandwiches also come with fries. Well, my friend and I both ordered the Gordo burger failing to notice the first topping listed was chicharron. I dislike pork skins of any kind but these had a raw/slimy texture. Really grossed me and my more tolerant friend out. Both of us scraped these off the burger and the rest of the meal went on as usual. My friend pointed out that typically if you list chicharron as a topping they are usually crispy and light...not the case.
