We went here again on Friday 9/11/26 because I love their fish fry. I have to say honestly that their fish fry is the 3rd best in Wisconsin and I have been to friday fish fries all over the state of Wisconsin and I am fussy about my fish fry. Wisconsin is known for its fish fry on friday nights and this fish fry has an amazing crust that is crunchy. Its handbreaded. Tartar sauce also amazing. The staff are really great. Lupe was our server again and she was awesome. And Salina (hope I spelled it right) was also great helping with drinks and other things. You can't go wrong in going to Mayor's restaurant (formerly Eric's Porterhouse. Frankly its cleaner, brighter, has a great ambiance. I took pics which I will have to upload at another time because the Yelp app is currently not working.

Sangria Flight 2

We found this warm and cozy neighborhood restaurant and decided to give it a try -- and I'm so glad we did! The atmosphere is welcoming, the people are wonderful, and the food was absolutely delicious. This has officially become my new favorite place to eat in Waukesha County. I started with the Sangria Flight because I'm definitely more of a wine-before-beer person, and I loved being able to try the different flavors. Our waitress was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and we even had the pleasure of meeting the owner, which made the experience feel even more personal. They're currently offering an Oktoberfest special, so of course I had to try the Brat Burger -- or Burger Brat, whichever you want to call it! It was GREAT! Generous portions, delicious food, and a really comfortable neighborhood atmosphere where you feel right at home. We enjoyed everything -- the food, the ambiance, and especially the people. I'll definitely be back. Next on my list: the Beer Flight and breakfast! So happy we found this place!

First time here since the ownership change. Heard they were not going to change much, and I have…read moreto say they have kept their word. Two of us ordered the Backyard BBQ burger, one without sweet potato fries and the other with tots. The third person ordered the Pizzaz burger with breaded mushrooms. All were cooked medium as requested and were very tasty. The sweet potato fires, breaded mushrooms, and tots were also very good. The breaded mushrooms were strips of a large mushroom as opposed to mushroom cups. The only issue we had was both Backyard BBQ burgers were servered with sweet potato fried instead of one having tots. Our server, Olivia quickly corrected the situation by bring us an order of tots. Olivia did a great job, was personable, pleasant, and provided great customer service! Inside the ambiance hasn't change and is still pleasant and comfortable. They have a nice mix of regular height and high-top tables. Plenty of TV's are placed throughout, including on their very nice outdoor patio. They have claimed to have the best burgers in town, and they continue to provide burgers that meet that claim.

Which I guess could be kind of odd to have on a bar menu, but if it's on the menu, you would think it would be good. The second it was put down. It looked like it came out of a prepared TV dinner. The meatloaf was thin, sliced, and tasted did just like a Salisbury steak. And kind of chewy. Not appealing on the plate either. He substituted a side salad instead of fries. The side salad was super tiny and not worth it. I ordered wings. When they were delivered all 12 were drummies. I didn't get one flat. The waitress then brought me out some flats mins later when I asked for them and showed her my plate. As for beverages, I ordered a tap of spotted cow and it was very flat and not cold. We won't be back anytime soon.

tl:dr Club 400 is my kind of neighborhood bar. Great staff, delicious food and good prices…read more In 2021 Club 400 gained new ownership. With Andrea and Sid (Cesar) at the reigns of this historic bar, this place has become my new go to in Waukesha. History and music lovers note, Les Paul's father and brother opened Club 400 in 1948 and Les Paul and Mary Ford played at the grand opening. The menu consists of bar classics, burgers, wings, chicken sandwiches, wraps, nachos and more, plus a decent sized and priced kids menu. One thing I love is that their leaf lettuce and tomatoes are always super fresh and of higher quality than you expect from a bar. Taps range from your classic lagers to local craft beers and cider and behind the bar is a growing collection of whiskeys. You can usually find me seated at the long bar, chatting up bartender Elizabeth to see what the chef Dave's weekly special is. You'll find a friendly group of women and men seated at the bar, quickly striking up conversations with you and inviting you to play playing rounds of penny drop and cribbage. You will even find people having a laptop lunch thanks to their free WIFI. My favorite food offerings at Club 400: - Grilled chicken sandwich. I'll note I am 100% a cheeseburger guy, but this grilled chicken has me converted. The chicken is pounded thin with a crispy caramelized crust yet still tender and juicy. It's setup as build your own, so I then pile it with bacon, pepper jack, fresh leaf lettuce, ripe tomato slices, onion, pickles and thousand island, rested between a brioche bun. I'm drooling just typing this. - Weekly specials (with an extra discount at lunch from 12pm-2pm), which have included a garlic herb chicken bacon avocado wrap; chicken cordon bleu sandwich; turkey, bacon and cheddar on Texas toast; jalapeño popper grilled cheese with bacon; three cheese patty melt; and more, all with your choice of side. -Burger. This not too thick yet not too thin patty is perfectly seasoned, griddle with a nice crust and incredibly juicy. It's setup as build your own, so I then pile it with bacon, pepper jack, pickles and peanut butter, rested between a brioche bun. Total umami blast. - Curds. Okay, the curds here are the typical Sysco frozen kind, but, and this is a HUGE butt, you can have them tossed in your wing sauce of choice. I typically opt for the honey garlic, but you can't go wrong with any of their killer sauces. Pure gluttony but totally worth it. As well, Club 400 has a mug club program, that I am now happily part of. On Wednesday's mug club members receive happy hour prices all day long and the rest of the week you gain in the extra ounces the mug holds. As well, their is a monthly mug club member drawing (one entry per day you visit that month). You get to choose your name and the number that gets engraved your mug. Club 400 also offers a variety of promotions, including Farmer's Market Saturday discount, Uber bar tab discount, live music, game day specials, music bingo and more. Club 400 may not be a destination, but it is a place that's not to be missed and I'll be back over and over again.

Great bar, good friendly service with a nice atmosphere. They have a nice selection of beers.read more
