Visited Copper with a group of gals on a recent Saturday night. They planned to seat us inside, but the atmosphere was lacking a bit at it was fairly dead, plus it was lovely weather outside so we requested the patio instead. Definitely a winning choice. They're parklet decks sit on Third street and offer great vibes. We had a group of seven and the server was sweet and had no problem breaking up our checks (always appreciated). The menus we recieved didn't tell the whole story for drinks, so we were directed to look online. Mules of all flavors were on special for $5 so pretty much all of us ordered one. I had the cucumber one and really enjoyed - not too sweet. One of the gals ordered an app for the table, and it was so good - the bee sting whipped feta dip! I mean what's not to love about whipped feta, hot honey, and pistachios? Also it came with cauliflower toast slices that were yummy. My friend and I split a burger for the main. Wasn't the best burger of my life but still enjoyed it. What's nice is you can customize them with options like single, double, triple patty, and various toppings. Oh and it comes with more fries than you can possibly eat (and that's not a complaint)! Good prices, wonderful location, nice staff. All and all this spot it a win. I hope to see it busier here in the future, they deserve more customers!

I was visiting from out of state to see family, and my cousin recommended this spot for some solid bar food; specifically the chicken tenders. At first, I didn't believe him when he said they'd be the best I've ever had... but wow, he wasn't lying! We were seated right away since there was plenty of space, and the guy who took our order was super friendly and attentive. We ordered some drinks and, of course, the famous chicken tenders. Let me just say, these were hands down the most delicious chicken tenders I've ever had. Perfectly crispy and flaky on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. Paired with the fries? Chef's kiss! I seriously wish we had a place like this in my city! Highly recommend this spot, the food and service were both on point.

We came here with a group of girls for one of their birthdays. I thought everything was just OK. They don't really have a list of cocktails which was disappointing if you don't like to drink canned beverages. Mules seem to be their thing - they did have a $5 special going on their lower tier alcohol ones which was appreciated by most of the table, but I opted for the higher quality one priced at $10 (or $12? Can't recall!). The best thing we ordered was the bee sting whipped feta dip with cauliflower pitas - it was really good! You definitely have to get the extra order of pita chips, what they give you barely even gets you through half the feta. For my entree I got the pepper jelly chicken sandwich. The fries were nothing special, low seasoning. The chicken breading was nice and crispy and tasted good but the pepper jelly was too much. Too sweet, too messy, just didn't really care for it! Parking down there on a Saturday is also never fun....we had to do several laps before we lucked out and found a spot. Overall, I wouldn't choose to go back but it was fine for the event.

Despite a busy night and no reservations, we were seated quickly. Friendly staff and a great server, Pauline H. We had the Griddle pressed burger and the Cooper cubano. Bothe were delicious and served in good time with good presentation. It is a bar atmosphere and can get loud, so know that. I do recommend going and will have it on my go to list.

Stopped by for a fish fry before a Bucks game. The food was good- a decent fry. The service was slow- we should have sat at the bar!

I abhor sports bars and 95% of what is classified as bar food. Milwaukee has a ton of them all over the city, serving the same frozen, greasy, disgusting food devoured by yahoos tanked up on beer, who wouldn't know the difference between good food and dog feces. That's why I usually avoid anything near that abomination called the Deer District. However, a friend invited me to a Marquette game, and he said to meet him at a place named the Copper on King. With great trepidation, I walked into a typically looking Milwaukee sports bar, copying the ubiquitous sports bar design used worldwide; Nothing unique or innovative here. After sitting down at the huge bar, and some lively conversation with my buddy, we ordered one chicken nugget appetizer to share. The dish arrived, and I was blown away. This appetizer could serve three or four people, and the chicken tasted great, as did my fries. It probably wasn't fresh, but it tasted good and was not greasy. Our server was intelligent and understood inference. That was fun and cool. Copper on King isn't a five-star dining establishment, but for what it's designed to do, it does well. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat at the Copper, but if I'm attending an event in this testosterone drenched neighborhood, the Copper on King is my best choice.

My family went to Cooper on King for dinner while in town. We sat outside on the green which was fun because there was live music close by. The staff were very friendly and responsive and the food was great. I ordered the Jambalaya it was tasty and spicy with 2 skewers of shrimp on the top. Both my boys ordered the smash burger. One enjoyed his the other one didn't eat it because it came out wrong. By the time the burger came back, he had already filled up on fries. My husband ordered the Copper Cubano. He said it was very good.

Anyone else meet their new BFF at a random bar? Head in and chat with Erick, he's the best bartender! And now he's my bestie! He is so friendly and amazing! He LOVES food and will give you his honest opinion about the food (everything is amazing) and let me tell you, he did NOT disappoint. He describes food the way my fellow Yelpers do, yep food porn! I'm trying to recruit him, as he would make the perfect addition to our Elite Club! Smash burger was huge and so filling! Hello chef, you did amazing and my tummy is a happy camper! The halloumi cheese bites were bomb! They were served with the Mediterranean dip (almost tzatziki), the flavors melded perfectly. The pickles are made in house fresh and they are crisp and totally hit the spot! Just a YUM and WOW! FUN FACT; This is the longest straight bar east of the Mississippi! Super excited I found this place! Highly recommend! Come in and give Erick a big "howdy", he'd love it!

Everything about this place is awesome! Staff is super friendly and helpful, & food IS FIRE! The whipped feta dip appetizer is so good, I've gotten it 3 times now. (Hint, ask for extra cauliflower points). Inside is clean and classy, patio is bright & fun! Cocktails are also fun and unique. Don't sleep on the deep eddy spiked mimosa tower for only $40 you get 12 shots of deep eddy vodka & mimosas !!! Get that during brunch!!

    Mai Tai Mule

Mai Tai Mule was delicious! The smash burger was great as well as the fries, except the fries were cut so small they took forever to eat I also enjoyed the patio seating on a nice summer evening. I was disappointed they had a different menu due to the concert at Fiserv, so I guess I'll have to come back for the chicken Parmesan sandwich.

The view behind us along the bar

We stumbled upon Copper on King while looking for a bite to eat before a Milwaukee Admirals game and the Justin Timberlake concert. The bars we initially tried were packed with no open tables, but luckily, this spot had seating available. We had no idea what to expect, but the warm and inviting atmosphere immediately made us feel like we had made the right choice. The restaurant features a long, narrow bar with seating to the right and beautiful copper accents throughout--giving it a sleek yet cozy vibe. Our server, Selina, was absolutely fantastic! She took the time to walk us through the menu, making great recommendations along the way. Without a doubt, the Bee Sting appetizer is a must-try--the combination of feta cheese, hot honey, pistachios, and those perfectly seasoned cauliflower toast points had us craving more all night long! For our main dish, we ordered wings, and Selina suggested doing a dry rub with sauces on the side so we could try multiple flavors. We went with four different sauces, which made for a fun experience--especially for the kids! The wings were perfectly cooked, flavorful, and served piping hot. On top of that, the service was extremely fast--we barely had time to chat before our appetizers and meals arrived. If you're in the area and need a great place to grab a bite before an event, Copper on King is a fantastic choice. Amazing service, delicious food, and a relaxed yet stylish atmosphere--this place is definitely worth a visit!

    Jamie G.

Obsessed with the peri-peri dry rub wings, and the French onion soup is the best I've ever had. The historic building itself is really cool, too. Anytime someone is visiting milwaukee and asks for recommendations, Copper on King is my go to! It's perfect for food and drinks with friends, business associates, or for a date night

Cheese curds with the cheese cooked out of them!

Chicken tenders great, cheese curds just the standard frozen ones you can get anywhere.....and they over cooked.

I really appreciated the hospitality from all the staff during my visit to District Fore! We didn't eat dinner at District Fore, so I only got to try the cheese curds. They were so buttery and crispy, and the cheese pulls rivaled those of the Chili's mozzarella sticks! They were also much bigger in size than other cheese curds I have had during my time in Milwaukee. One order of the cheese curds appetizer was the perfect size to share between the four of us. I would love to see a District Fore Social open in my hometown, because I would definitely love to go back!

Very tasty sauce (hot honey garlic, at Thomas' recommendation) that wasn't overdone or underdone - just the right amount. I usually get my wings naked because so many places go wrong with the amount of sauce (usually just too drenched), but since we were on a timeline tonight, we just ordered without asking for anything else. I surprisingly don't have many options in my "MKE - Fish Fry" collection that are near downtown, but Swinging Door Exchange was one of them. I was pressed for time, so I placed a to go order rather than dining in. I got the combo fish fry (two pieces of cod, two pieces of perch, and three fried shrimp) with potato pancakes. I was also very easily talked into the half rack rib appetizer. The ribs were good, even though I prefer sauce that's more sweet and smokey. Their sauce was on the tangy side with a tease of spice that really only became noticeable when the majority of the half rack was gone. If I were in the mood for ribs as my main meal, I'd consider getting theirs as an entree. The two potato pancakes weren't homemade; instead, they were premade hash brown patties that some other restaurants also serve with their fish frys. These were perfectly acceptable in lieu of homemade pancakes. The cod tasted great, but the breading didn't hold up very well. Either the fish itself was too wet or the two block walk back to my car allowed for condensation to wreck it or possibly both. The perch was not yellow lake perch but probably something like pike perch. Even though both kinds of fish and the shrimp were all good sized portions, $29 feels like a lot. I wouldn't say no to it, though, if I were dining in next time and avoid the extra cost of their takeout fee. Shout-out to the bartenders working that night. The bar area was absolutely packed, but both of the ones I talked to about placing my order were friendly and helpful even with being super busy.
