I can't believe I finally found a nail tech who is superb! Hennie does pink and white solar for me and they last 3-4 weeks! She's awesome and Anna and Holly do my pedicures or any of the techs there have been great for pedis. I feel at home and welcome there and for once I don't feel talked about like I have in other salons. I've also noticed the products there are the real thing and not mixed or added to. I hate to be the first to have something negative to say about a (new) business but I, personally, use reviews on yelp to decide where to go, pretty often and can only assume others do the same... so I have to be honest... The actual salon is very nice and they have very fancy pedicure massage chairs. Unfortunately, I recently hurt my back and my mom's is already bad, so we weren't able to try them out. The people were SO FRIENDLY AND WELCOMING!!! I really had high hopes for the place.... Now, I will say, both the ladies working on my mom and me (not "I", I can already hear it ;) ) were very sweet and took their time. The only problem we had with this place, albeit a pretty significant one, was the way they did the mani and pedi. I felt they tried super hard to do a good job and they do look great. However, both artists were very rough, to the point of hurting us both a few times. I couldn't even enjoy my pedicure. They cut my cuticles down so far, I had fingers and toes that were sore for several days afterward. I truly believe this may have been due to inexperience, however, it made it a less than enjoyable and certainly not relaxing experience. The only other thing I didn't care for is when I went up to pay... they have another fancy computer thing you use to sign and add a tip for your credit card. The entire time I used it, 3 ladies stood there watching me as I was deciding on a tip amount. I swore one of them kept saying "18,18,18" quietly, but I'm not 100% sure with the broken English. Needless to say it was very awkward having them stare the entire time, until I got my receipt. I can't give less than 3 stars because I feel they really tried and they were so nice. Maybe I just got a couple newbies and the other techs are more experienced... I can't remember their names or I would say. I'm not sure I would go back but I'm not totally sure I wouldn't. Everyone else has only great things to say, so maybe we just picked a bad day... who know??? read more

I have been going for a few months. And I can say I will no longer go anymore. The last two times my nails lasted less than 2 weeks. And they "repaired" them when I went in. But this repair was lifting and breaking after two days. And the individuals at the salon tried to argue with me over why they lifted so fast. They claimed it was my fault that I did something to break them. Which is totally untrue. Never going again! read more

This place is amazing! The staff is very friendly. The first time I came in, I got a full set of acrylics from Julie. She did such a great job! She did everything I asked her to do perfectly. I've never had a better set of acrylics. I getting a pedicure as I wrote this review and the lady doing my toes is super friendly and she's actually carrying a conversation with me which is a nice change from being ignored at other places. I have gone to Oscar Nails numerous times and received quality manicures and pedicures and continue going back as a regular. It was very good experience and would highly recommend Kelly. They are all good but she is very attentive and qualified especially with shellac manicures and they have a huge selection of colors. Also, I have had facial waxings done there and really got my $30 worth. Everything they have done has been top notch. The place is spotlessly clean and it is no pressure, very relaxed and can accommodate a large group and not feel like you are crammed into the place. It's so hard to find a place to make sure the tools the women use are sanitized and this place is on top of that. Cleanliness is important, and I'll be coming here again. I went by myself a couple weeks ago and got a pedicure. The lady who did it did a good job and was super friendly, so I told my friend we should go together to get manicures. When we went (on Wednesday) everybody was friendly again, but the lady who did my nails didn't put a towel down before she started sanding my old shellac/acrylic off and there was white dust everywhere - including my black work pants. She did a pretty good job otherwise, though. The reason why I'm giving two stars is because my friend's manicure looked really bad - you could see streaks and there were a few spots that were missed. She also didn't clean up around her nails very well. Unfortunately we had somewhere we needed to go so she couldn't have it corrected right then. She went back the next day after work and she was told the lady who did her nails was new, and a new lady cleaned them up. Later that evening she went to put a hand in her pocket and one of her nails popped off. Two days later she was picking something up (not heavy) and another one popped off. She went back today and they removed all her nails and started over. Her boyfriend met her up there later so they could get pedicures together. When she went to check out she was fully charged for a new set of nails. Mind you it's been FOUR DAYS since she went the first time. She just came home and they still look bad, and one nail isn't even glued all the way down. Needless to say they lost three customers today, which is a bummer because this place is a five minute drive for us. We found a place we liked in The Woodlands before, but I'd hoped based on these reviews we had found somewhere closer. Looks like we'll be driving back to The Woodlands next time. read more

BEST NAIL EXPERIENCE! first time here and definitely not my last! great staff and I LOVE my new nails

I went in with my mom one day. It was very last minute but we called to see if they could do walk ins. I got a full set and my mom got a manicure and pedicure. The lady who did my nails filed down too much on the sides and didn't put the acrylic powder on evenly so on some of my nails you can see through the acrylic. Also all of my nails are unevenly shaped and she cut my pinky when using the filer. The woman that did my moms feet didn't do the greatest job with the scrubbing, overall they were very nice to us and took care of us though they had their flaws. My mom loved the colors overall and they did do a great job with the painting on my moms nails. I will most likely not come again but hopefully next time I get a better experience somewhere else. read more

I have been going to Malibu for years and have never really enjoyed the experience- they're rude, don't honor appointments and don't leave my nails looking as good as they should for the price. I started going to oscar's and I couldn't ask for a better place! I'm greeted with a smile and they always do an amazing job.
