Went to Les Schwab and $80 later got a new sensor installed. Sean was cool and got me a refund on the $80. 3 days later all the sensors are bad. Less than 2500 miles on the truck and I have to replace upper and lower control arms, new ball joints, the radiator is cracked, and they did not disclose the back window has a leak that was NOT repaired (there was staining and asked I was told it was fixed along with all the other recall items which is not true). This place should be shut down, they lied multiple times when we purchased our new vehicle, had to bring it back multiple times from issues from the manufacturer. It seemed like the more we brought it back the more the vehicle would break. We scheduled an appointment to make a repairs last week, they quoted us over $500 and said they need the vehicle for a day. Just had the oil changed at jiffy lube, they found the issue (without us asking) fixed it and it cost $7 and took them literally 3 mins to fix. I pitchased a used car Dec 10th 2024. Can't mind you I purchased the extended warranty at the cost of $3900 and had it financed five weeks after I own the car. The engine light came on so I called Ford dealership. They informed me I had to send the car to Chico to the Subaru dealership to get it tested, they didn't have the equipment to do it so come to find out I have to pay for the towing to get it to Chico $329 out of my pocket and then when you get to the Subaru dealership In Chico you have to sign a statement when they put it on the diagnostic machine you have to pay the $228 Then if it's something that's covered under the warranty CN a company will send you the reimbursement read more

So my beautiful, beautiful Audi is on her way to heaven soon. My emerald green German friend has served me well and I will miss her. What I won't miss is the cost to repair her. But eventually, when she does pass on, I will buy a Ford Fusion. When I test drove a couple of cars at Oroville Ford, all of which I loved, I did feel like the sales guy let me do whatever I wanted, which was nice. And he stayed past closing to help me look at a couple more cars. But when it came time to take a look at the paperwork and see what my trade-in would be (turns out, basically nothing, which kind of sucks), I got pressure from every angle, and then from the manager (and a follow up call the next day). Even though as I smiled, cocked my head to the right, bit my lower lip and said, "Really? Is that the best deal you can get me?", he did end up lowering the price by about $3500, I still felt like what they were asking was just way, way too much. And eventually, I had three salesmen on me at once. You would have thought I was Marilyn Monroe. Or Christina Hendricks. The pushy stuff and the negotiated price got to me though and I didn't buy. They were nice enough, they did their best, they tried to impress but it was no deal. But, having car-shopped for two YEARS once, I know how bad these places usually are. This place did me wrong on both accounts for a vehicle repair, then rejected my request for a refund months later after I finally figured out how to fix one of the problems and what would likely be causing the other, then took the bother of requesting my $174 back. I took the trouble of asking because I could use the cash and because it just feels right. Add to that how I also had to pay a decent shop for the work that did get done properly. Therefore, I paid twice to an extent. So when looking just now on Yelp (which is sort of new to me) and finding this many positive ratings (11 of 12 at 5-stars), it took me by surprise. Alas, after doing the numbers myself, turns out: 1. - 9 of the 12 are talking about a new car sale, which is completely unrelated to auto repair. 8 of those were impressed with nice salesmen. The other one, not so much. People are easily impressed in our world by a smile. That's how many corrupt politicians get elected and many uncaring service workers or salesmen keep their jobs. 2. - 1 of the 12 named the wrong business, not Oroville Ford. That leaves 2 for evaluating the repair shop. 3. - 1 of the 2 visiting the shop got fluid refilled and tires rotated. He was happy they got him in the same day. We are not talking any kind of skill level though. And the same-day availability might be viewed as a negative. It is common for good operations to be 3 weeks out. That said, tire rotation is a quick task. 4. - Number 2 of the 2 had an electric window repair taken care of. Electrical repairs are tricky. Corrosion can cause resistance leading to an issue that is rectified merely by unplugging the terminal and putting her back in. But your typical mechanic will simply buy a new part. And even he may never realize if it was needed. Just putting the part in solves the corrosion buildup. At any rate, the diagnosing is minimal. So I am reading zero reviews about troubleshooting a malady that isn't already obvious. Mine fell into such a category. The cruise control failed to engage on my then recently purchased Mercury Villager (Nissan Quest clone) minivan. Oroville Ford asked for another hour of labor after failing to diagnose during the first hour. I refused because he offered no clue and no details about why no clue had turned up yet, like narrowing down possibilities. After later taking classes and actually bothering to look on All-Data and Mitchell for possible causes, turns out the tech may not (I got few details) have even been looking in the right direction. Problem two was no cold air from the AC. The service rep (Duane,I think) offered a repair of ripping out the existing R-12 system (pre-1994 or 1995) for around $1100. What the heck! We're talking compressor, hoses, evaporator and - if done right condenser too. Doing my own questioning of instructors at a nearby college auto department, one of them recommended a former student who opened his own shop. That guy got me going for $280, perfectly operational AC with all existing parts. And it could have been cheaper still as it turned out. That guy didn't realize (or neglected to tell me) one could purchase old cans of surplus R-12 (new cars use R-134a) for around $30 each at the time. So he sold me cans from his dwindling supply at $80 each. Yeah, exorbitant. Yet compare $280 to $1100 for an inferior product. Either way, I have cold R-12 AC (which is, I learned, superior to R-134a) for one-quarter the price Oroville Ford would have zinged me. The system was leak-checked and good to go. Without leaks, one should almost never need an extra can. That car was 20 years old, however. Instructors told me so much age could easily lead to dissipation of the refrigerant minus a leak. Upon learning of the eBay cans, I purchased extras, though have yet to need any. Consequently, I sold two back just this week for $32 each. Anyway, with my trip back to speak with Duane and ultimately the manager brought out by Duane ,I was told they don't do R-12 refills. Okay, but how about telling me that SOMEBODY MIGHT? That in contrast to merely offering the $1100 repair. The cruise control remains with an intermittent problem, the scourge of the auto tech world because they often are unable to duplicate the condition. Only in this case, the tech told me he could duplicate it. I have yet to fully repair. It works most of the time. All-Data offers about three different possibilities. I checked one with my instructor, another on my own. The third is more bother. Bottom line, I still want a refund for crappy costly advice on one account (AC) and an incompetent failed diagnosis on the other. But they said not one dollar will be refunded. Shoot, if I owned a shop (and I have been thinking about opening one), no way would I let a person walk away so miffed after my mechanic and I failed him in every way. How could the money be worth burning a local or any at least half decent person at all? One star only because zero is not offered. read more

The website lists prices! No "call us" or other prevarication. You can view the window stickers online, request lease estimates, see what finance and cashback offers they have from Ford, everything. It's all right there online. This is a breath of fresh air. The other regional dealers all have websites that are stuck in the 90s, and they play dumb phone games to try to get you in the door before they'll talk prices. Not a problem with Oroville Ford. When I walked in, the first thing my salesman (Victor) did was spot that I had an iPad. He offered me the guest wifi password so I could use my iPad to review the available vehicles as we walked through the lot. Victor was patient and helpful while I tested a few different models. No pressure, and if he didn't know the technical details on something he went to check or helped me look it up. I'm so used to car salesman who make things up on the fly, but this guy shoots straight. He was pretty excited about their new space (they recently expanded), and they had about a dozen Ford Escapes to look through, compared to just two on the website of my nearest dealer. In the end I decided I was going to purchase the vehicle I had already leased elsewhere. I didn't get any grief or extra pressure. He just asked me to consider them in the future. I felt comfortable and welcome enough that I collected a few extra business cards to share with friends who might be looking in the future. I wish all dealerships were like this. The difference is night and day, compared to the last dealership that I reviewed. read more

Jamie and everyone else I came into contact with during my buying experience was wonderful. They all treated me like family and I couldn't have asked for better. I put in the request to call,, they did the next morning. i I told them I wanted it and i didn't need to test drive as I had already test drove a 2021 ranger and knew what I wanted. They were about to run my credit when they told me that someone was test driving the vehicle, then they sold it.. This is a shady salesman tactic and I will never buy from them.. I brought my CMAX in for a small tear in the CV boot, with no other problems at the time. I wanted it repaired before any issue arose. I was told they needed to also replace the axil and boot, altogether this cost was over 700.00$ . I drove my car a few times then noticed a bad metal grinding noise that got louder and louder in the side they worked on. I immediately called them and brought it in. I was told it was the bearing in the same area they just worked on. My car only has 50,000 miles, this is not something that happens with this few of miles. I brought it in for a rerepair believing they were going to take responsibility for the damage to my car that they caused and make the repair. I had emphasized that I needed my car back ASAP as I was caring for someone a 45 minute drive away. Instead they only reevaluated my car again. They told me the new repair was a 1000.00 $ I have had to drive my other vehicle for over two weeks with no air conditioning in the smoke windows up to care for someone. They have refused to cover the repair for damage they caused and their CEO Bob Byrd refuses to return my calls. They have bad business practices especially towards women. read more

My husband and I had a wonderful experience with the sales staff of Orville Ford. From my first phone call with Zachary to our final handshake, this dealership is set apart from any we have encountered in the past (and we aren't young!). The transaction was so straight forward. We knew going in that inventory is low but they really tried to work with us to make sure we were happy with our purchase. Vince is a finance wizard - he found a great credit union rate for us. We like how Vince and Zachary sat at a table with us (NO back and forth like they do at other places). They maintained a genuinely friendly, relaxed demeanor throughout the time we spend together. But wait! There is more: Our truck was detailed and delivered to us by a lovely gentleman, Ellis (I nicknamed him Santa). AND since the sale my husband kept remembering things he forgot to clear out of the old truck. Vince and Zach have been so gracious about finding these things and sending them to us. So the fantastic customer service continues even after they sealed the deal. I'm so impressed. Purchased a Traverse less than 2 years ago and I've had to take it back to service at least 7 times since, the first time being just a couple weeks after I bought it. The issue has never been fixed and continues to happen. I have tried to be patient and nice about it but enough is enough. Their "best" solution for me is to just BUY a new vehicle from them. Sales reps, Sean and Victor, are money hungry and will not care about you once the deal is done. I am now stuck with an unsafe vehicle whose warranty is now done. $21,000 gone. I will NEVER buy a vehicle from this awful place ever again and will let everyone know my terrible experience so they don't have to go thru the same things I did Wow Bob. Funny that you ignored my phone messages when I want to speak with you but you're quick to respond when I finally post a bad review I DID purchase a warranty are the urging of your employees since they were aware what a lemon this car is. You are completely misinformed of my issues or just completely lying. The issue that I ALWAYS have is the Stabiltrax and transaction control. Service has replaced completely random things hoping it would fix the problem but those SAME errors message ALWAYS come back which is why we continue to take it in. How dare you try to defend this terrible vehicle. The only thing service recommended to me was to eventually replace the spark plugs. Service told me personally yesterday that is was not even a big deal, just to do it down the road. His exact words. There was NEVER any recommendations that I failed to follow. Why in the world would I not do exactly what they recommend, or better yet, why wouldn't they just fix whatever they "recommended"?? Because you are totally lying. All I have ever wanted was a safe, reliable vehicle for myself and my children. Took F250 in for 90K service, upon return of vehicle it had a dent in right rear quarter panel and it would not start the next day. Had to tow it, had to miss work 4 hours. Fixed dent under protest, and charged me to repair the truck that ran great when it was left to be serviced. I have bought six fords in my life, 5 from this dealer. The General Manager would not answer my many messages left to discuss this issue, he really cares about his customers. Our cars are our work vehicles for our animals we have bought quite a few from Oroville Ford, the time came we wanted a fun no dog car to drive around. We are very big on shopping local since we own a small store in Oroville. We gave Vince a call and we thought maybe we would get a Cadillac again. Turns out they no longer sell Cadillac but Vince was wiling to help me find one somewhere else. I said no, I really want to buy it from a dealer in town. After some brainstorming he located a beautiful Camaro SS, worked a dealer trade, had it delivered, and it was as easy as can be. The hard part was waiting for it to be delivered. do not take your car here to be service, i drove my car in running perfectly fine, just had to have the check engine light checked. they told me a needed a new motor. i told then was not putting an engine in a vehicle that was running perfectly when i drove it in, they tore into engine to try to figure out the problem, i told them to put it back together was not doing and engine, they called me and told me it was ready to be picked up but it was running like junk. that it is not holding oil pressure and knocking loudly and will not get up to highway speed, are you kidding me, you guys messed up my car. they are not wanting to own up to what they did. very unhappy, read more

I was at first relieved that this dealership was able to repair my F-450 since I was hauling my 5th wheel with it before the 4th of July weekend. They quickly determined that the whistling sound I was hearing that I compared to a siren or elk call was caused by an exhaust leak and they would have to pull the cab to fix it. 2300 dollars later, on driving off, I experienced the same noise. While there may have been an exhaust leak, what I brought it in for still wasn't fixed. I had deadlines to meet and trying to reach my destination, a catastrophic noise with loss of power occurred while going over a mountain pass. Stranded in Weed, California, a mobile mechanic was called. On his arrival, in less than 2 minutes, he determined that it was a high pressure hose between the booster and turbo, a $60 dollar part. $150 dollars for the diagnosis and 3 hours to get a new hose and replace it, back on the road again. Given that the noise should have been a tip-off for an experienced mechanic, I called to voice my unhappiness. They told me that they would pass it on to a mitigation specialist. I wish I could give negative stars. The service department needs to have a major change in staff. My vehicle was brought in for a coolant fire recall and the service staff did not notice the tow truck unloading my car, did not get out of their seats to write down a VIN or even know it came in, lost my car in the service lot, did not know where they even put my key, and was not knowledgeable at all about the issue. They continued to claim they ordered a part for it, but then said they never got a chance to check the car, so that made sense...not. When I requested a rental over the phone after it has been in the service department for two days and nothing has been done to it, they said no and hung up the phone. I am debating on taking it to another Ford Dealership who actually understands customer service and vehicles/service. Filed a claim with Corporate Ford because of how bad this service department is. So my car window power motor broke and the window was down, so i needed it fixed. I first called the Honda dealership in Chico about getting it fixed. It was about 1:50pm on a Friday and the dealership said that I could drop the car off and it would be fixed by monday. Whaaa? So I called the Ford dealership in Oroville and they told me to come on down. They couldnt' find a part in Oroville, so they had to have a guy drive to chico to the dealership that couldnt fix my car until monday and buy the part there, then come all the way back. Long story short, they had my car fixed, washed and ready to go by 4pm. Best part...it cost less than $200 total. I actually had the same thing happen to my window 4 years ago and the honda dealership charged me $380 so i was very happy with the costs being half that at Oroville Ford. They now have a customer for life. read more
