I definitely would not recommend buying from this business. They completely ripped me off. I bought a truck there for $11,000. They had told me they had just inspected it and everything was fine. Less than 15 miles after purchase the truck wouldn't go into gear and separately it started pouring fuel out the bottom of the truck. It cost me $4000 to fix the transmission and $550 to fix the fuel leak. These guys wouldn't do anything to help in return. They were very rude on the phone and hung up on me. Purchased a car in April. Car was broke down by May. Called owner, said he doesn't touch cars he sells. It's now August, tags expired last month, no registration received. Called to ask what was going on, said he needed to call his "DMV lady", never heard from him again. DON'T GET A Car FROM Northstate Auto Brokers, Inc. 2 days after purchasing vehicle was on the side of the road with my two-year-old granddaughter whole car overheating (so I thought it turns out it was just a bolt leaking on the engine that's why the car didn't actually get hot it was just leaking radiator fluid on the engine to cause a smoke) check engine light on a cording to the mechanic it's the water pump the knock sensor and the O2 sensor all need to be replaced and he says it looks like they tried some temporary fixes so they definitely knew that it wasn't going to hold The boat where it's leaking radiator fluid from the water pump on to the engine making it steam they taped it so yeah they definitely knew and pulled one over on me oh also the minute I called them and told them he said oh you could put it in the shop but you have to pay for it and I said I just bought the car from you it's literally not even 2 days old and his reply was take him to court so you guys been warned he sells lemons be aware and he claims to help camp fire victims he did a whole spill on how he would take this car across country he stands by his work if I have any problems let him know he's always there for camp fire victims he's one of them so he knows yeah he aware very smooth guy as far as talking he'll definitely will take advantage of you be very aware!!!!!!! read more

The decision to post this review was not an easy one. I have purchased other vehicles from North State Auto Brokers and have had a relatively good experience. This one, however, is very different. I purchased a 2003 Honda CRV from them and had to wait to take possession of the car to have the air conditioner compressor changed out and new tires installed. Long story short, the car lot did not correctly repair the a/c setting it up to breakdown again after the purchase. When they changed out the compressor, they did not flush the system leaving the pieces of the failed compressor in the system, which worked their way into the new compressor causing it to break down again. The repair estimate from two shops is $1,500. I tried to get the car lot to at least help get it fixed and I was told "You are on your own." I threatened to sue but due to the time frame, etc. was not able to do so. Now, I have colon cancer and have to drive a very hot car during the summer to my oncology and surgical appointments at UC Davis in Sacramento. I am very disappointed in this car lot will never use or recommend them again. read more

i am from chico been hear 64 years i bought a 2005 gmc 4 door 4x4 nice looking can .as soon as i got the car on saturday2/1/22 i made it about 50 miles tops and check engine light come on i went back he said maby fuel cap. he took it off put it back on and checked code again it was all good.like shit all he did was clear the code so the check engine light would go off it did but after fifty miles on the car again the light come on again. well afte they clear the code and tell you it is fixed he is a lieing thief that whole crew dowe there is. these cars are all cleared righth when you but them and you drive off happy bull shit. i have three shops hear in town that will tell you that is all they do is clean them up and clear the code and you buy the the junk cars or trucks. like the old homeless man that would set out front for his 4000 dollors they riped him and left him straned again. i am going too get them under investgation as soon as i can bbb knows now also. hell me and his dad used too drink beers together back in the day. the kid hear is a jerk rip off and i will seen them closed down and he will loose that little code clearing machine he has. read more

Do not buy from them!!!! We test drove 3 cars and the check engine light came on. All three! Decided to buy a 2010 Subaru Lagacy for $7,800. Drove off the lot didn't even make it home, less then 3 miles, and the light comes on. We took it back "we cant touch it once its sold" come to find out they sold us a car with a blown head!!! Went back to make it right. Decide on a trade and test drove the majority of the lot. Decided on a Buick Rainer. I had it for one day and the light came on. It's a gas leak! Andy, the man that sold it to us will not return my calls He is a fake, a liar and a fraud. I am beyond disappointed and angry. Being a single mom and a fire victim who works for hospice I needed a reliable car. Andy knew this and took advantage of me. I spent all of my savings on this car, Andy knew this! I really really wanted to be happy with these guys and have a great experience. But I was seriously disappointed. I had high expectations, and I was initially lead to believe they would be satisfactorily met. We were in need of an older, higher mileage used vehicle for commuting that was more family friendly than the truck I sold to afford it. I was told that for the amount of money I had, there were about 6 things I could look at. I was really exhilarated because I was exhausted with private party dealings and had been attempted-exploited with all the smaller lots I had toured and called. These guys are local and supposedly Only sell local trade-ins and never go to auction.... It all sounded so great-- too good to be true, some might say. My husband and I quickly found the two we each liked most; for me it was an old red Jimmy, for him a silver Durango. We deliberated and thought about it for almost a week. I called on a Saturday to notify that we were interested in those vehicles and would be back on Monday, just a courtesy call to insure ample time for detailing and organization. Monday: the Durango is clean. We arrange a babysitter to do a test drive (big deal, if you have young kids you know this.) Instantly, the low fuel light comes on. Now, I've worked at a surprisingly high number of car dealerships in my day. One could say, I know how this game works. Strike one, guys. The vehicle had a major issue, all kinds of weird sounds and a STRONG pull to the right. There wasn't any paperwork for it aside from the carfax. We mutually agreed we weren't interested in pouring potentially more money into this Than we paid for it. No big deal tho. Next up, the Jimmy. Oh, the Jimmy. I'm a Chevy/GMC girl through to my core. I had such high hopes for this little red sporty son of a gun. We waited in the office while they "got it ready." Someone came and got us and said it was, however it wasn't already running and we didn't have a key.......... We waited. Good opportunity to look at it. There were some of the previous owners' belongings still in it. I kid you not. Cords, old food, hair, literally clumps of dirt. Strike 2. 3 minutes later, they bring us a key. We sit. We put key in ignition. We turn key. Car doesn't start. Nothing. Absolutely no activity whatsoever. After a fit of laughter and acceptance and realization about exactly what and WHO we were considering dealing with, we go to take key out and give it back. But the key won't come out. No amount of brute force or Mcguyver skills are going to get that key out. So we went back in the office to tell them about the Jimmy and where we parked the Durango. The man I spoke with actually said (quote)," I'm not surprised, they had to jump it to get it out there." Strike infinity. "Wtf." Seriously. They didn't even leave it running. What were we supposed to do after they turned it back off?! Come on, guys. Basically, they suck. And I'm only giving two stars because I'm a nice person and I'm still fond of the concept of what this could be. The end. read more

If I could give them zero stars, I would. Bought a car from them 2 years ago, my mom and I needed a quick vehicle to get her to doctors appointments in Reno. I have been pouring money into ever sense. There were a few yellow flags in the test drive and they answered the questions with what turned out to be blatant lies. Cleaned things up nicely, put on new tires, fixed it up enough to pass the basic inspection, but mechanically the car has been failing every 6 months or so, and mold in the upholstery appeared (would have required actually cutting into the seats to find that one). Incredibly two-faced individuals, making money off people in unfortunate circumstances. These people are the worst type and should not be able to operate a business. read more
