I would recommend any parents looking to get their kid their first car to stop by and see Andy first.

    Bambauer Towing Service

A driver from Bambauer Towing, dispatched through AAA, showed up with absolutely no communication…read morefrom AAA about arrival time. Because we were stranded with our children, we had already called another towing company who arrived promptly and was polite, professional, and actively helping us. When the Bambauer driver arrived, he was rude from the very beginning. He interrupted a conversation we were already having with the two gentlemen helping us and immediately demanded an ID without even introducing himself. When we explained that the AAA membership holder could be there shortly, he repeatedly said he "couldn't do anything" and kept insisting we would be charged anyway. We clearly told him we were not using his services and asked him to step away. Instead of respecting that, he continued to stand in our personal space, arguing and telling us we would be charged, even after we asked him to leave us alone. His behavior felt aggressive and harassing--especially unacceptable considering our children were present. He's honestly lucky my husband didn't call the police over how he was acting. To make matters worse, when we called the office to report his behavior, the woman who answered was equally rude and dismissive, claimed the driver was "in the right," refused to help resolve the situation in any way, and then hung up on my husband. This company lacks professionalism, basic customer service, and accountability. If you value being treated with respect--especially in a stressful roadside situation--I would strongly recommend choosing a different towing company.

The larger man who showed up from Bambauer Towing was rude and aggressive from the moment he arrived. No introduction, no professionalism--just immediate demands, talking over us, and hovering in our personal space. We told him multiple times we were not using his service and asked him to step away, and he refused, continuing to harass us and threaten charges anyway. This was especially unacceptable since our children were present and we were already dealing with a stressful roadside situation. Instead of helping, he made everything worse. Customer service backed him up and was just as rude and dismissive when we called to report what happened. Absolutely avoid this company unless you enjoy being treated poorly when you're already vulnerable.

I went back after YEARS of hoping there'd be some staff turnover and change with the times, today. Turns out: nope! It is the same awful, customer "service" I remember from years ago with new, young males. I asked my husband to stay in the car with our daughter and exited our vehicle to chat with the man who walked up to the car. I quickly and simply explained what I was looking for in a new vehicle and his responses were literally, "nah, we don't have anything like that. Maybe the... *insert sports car that was the polar opposite of my request* but otherwise, you're out of luck." No attempt at seeking more information from me to help me find something more appropriate. Once again, I was met with instant denial, rudeness, and incompetence. I don't love writing bad reviews but this place is just the worst kind of business. I would rather ride my bicycle across the states than buy a car from these tools. Yikes! They've proved their company practices are built on misogyny and rudeness for years, now. Go literally anywhere else. It's not worth the awful experience, I promise.

You MUST KNOW WHAT YOU NEED AND WHAT YOU'RE DOING HERE …read more They lay out the cars they buy and you're allowed to take them apart to get what you need . KLQ (the parent corporation) recently lowered most prices . If you're buying common parts from common cars, prolly wise to pay the few more $ for the warranty, they have NO WAY TO CHECK BEFORE YOU BUY so don't get mad, if you're unsure either buy the warranty or if it's some obscure or older vehicle they won't get in often, skip the warranty co$t and take a flier . If that's not good enough, buy a new or rebuilt part elsewhere . We Professional Mechanics _LOVE_ this place because _we_ get to chose what we buy, not some yard ape . Only porta-potties and minimal hand washing available, I always bring other clothes and shoes because no matter how hard they try, junkyards are dusty, oily, _filthy_ places . The Anaheim location is a sea of grease so be ready . Many times there are guys cruising the yard with hand trucks and tools, they'll remove parts for you at extra co$t and they only accept CA$H . Always plenty of easy parking . _IF_ you know your stuff this is the very best used auto parts place there is . -Nate

Another time. I pulled the metal headlight protectors(they look like iron bars kind of) for the front of my Land Rover and when I brought it up one girl told me it was going to be $5 but somehow I ended up with another gal finally checking me out and she tried to charge me. $25. I told her the other girl quoted $5 and the girl confirmed but she would not honor that price (and I don't believe she was a manager). Now today I wanted to exchange something that was clearly marked with the receipt but because it was past the 30 day refund period by less than two weeks they would not let me exchange it because they both were so worried about "getting flagged". The worst part is we come in here all the time, like. Once a week at least and we have bought tons of things that did not end up working out but just eat the cost no big deal, we actually have never returned anything so it's not like we are habitual returners or problem customers . The two employees wouldn't direct me to a supervisor to ask and told me to email them and figure out the email address from the website. I wish there was another one closer so I could boycott... I will attempt to asich as possible. . Conclusion - very disappointed

They said a coil was loose but, that I needed a air conditioning hose fixed because of pin hole that would cause problems later. $1100 later. I'm 3 wks out & it's doing the same thing only worse. I'm told they need to do spark plugs. (Which I asked about at last visit) I ask them to do coils at the same time knowing it can be an issue. They refuse stating they don't do that. I tell them if I need new coils they are eating the cost of labor. Next day get the call stating that car needs new coils, and they can discount labor. They agreed after heated discussion to waive labor. Upon pick up bill was $1000 more than expected and they "forgot" to take off labor costs for coil. 3rd visit was key stuck in ignition. I was told they would have to diagnose problem first. This is a WELL KNOWN problem pages & pages on the internet. There is an extension on warranty up to 900,000 miles. I asked before I took car in if this is a recall. After having car "diagnosed" they agreed it was covered but would take 3 days to get parts.

I live next door to Once & Done. I was forced to listen to the owner blasting music at an insane…read morevolume for hours and hours, when no one else was even there on his property. The windows on his disgusting, shabby building are broken as well, so sound is not filtered like most normal people's establishments. It was 6:00 in the evening on a weekday. For most normal, decent people that means being tired. Wanting to have the basic decency of a peaceful home in a hard world. I pay my rent, I don't bother people. I am not doing anything to harm anyone. I just want basic respect that I give to others. I walked over and at a polite physical distance, I politely told him I live next door to him and that he can do whatever he wants but could he maybe just listen to his music at a more normal volume. He was belligerent to me, screaming at me and bragging about what a nice person he is and telling me that I am not nice because I am demanding him (which I literally did not do since that's not what the word actually means). He started whipping his towel in the air at me and screaming to get off his property and told me that I must be lazy since I'm sleeping at this hour. I told him politely and calmly that I wasn't sleeping. Unbeknownst to him, I was actually physically unwell and trying to rest in my home that I pay rent for. The owner of this business is obviously someone who does not care about community, does not care about basic common courtesy, does have basic communication skills, and doesn't feel that he owes basic human respect to his neighbors who live where he conducts his business. Judging on the other negative reviews on this page, this person clearly has a reputation for this kind of behavior. It's embarrassing for grown adults to behave this way. It only goes to show how the education system has completely failed children who grow into nasty adults like this. And it's a display of the bully culture of this country just getting worse and worse. People used to have community. Not so much anymore, because of grown men like this who lack basic values and who act like disrespectful teenagers. Bullies like this don't realize that they wouldn't have a business if it weren't for other people. And that very, very simple acts of kindness actually bring you in customers. He didn't have to be belligerent. He could have simply been polite. But, he's the type of individual who makes crude assumptions about random people. I wouldn't do business with someone of such sordid nature.
