We felt OK in the $60K rang Style - sedan - SUV and crossover don't give me the space I need Type - hybrid or plug-in hybrid (I really wanted a plug-in in concept - selection was minimal) We have a Tesla 3, and didn't want a 2nd electric for several reasons. We've had a great experience with the Infiniti brand, but many dealerships have closed On paper, the Volvo plugin hybrid looked great - until we sat in it. Next stop - Lexus dealership Found a sporty Lexus hybrid, which complemented Carol's elegance (it's her car). It even has a spare tire in the locking trunk. I was amazed at how few sedans are being made - likely 1/3 to 1/2 of the cars on the road were SUVs or crossovers, which only provide a thin layer of glass between the outside world and the things I want to carry in the car. USED CAR I do like used cars, but their prices have gone up so I was able to rationalize buying a new one. OUR OLD CAR I spent several days trying to find it, then shifted into moving past it.
