Very happy with Big O. I have taken my truck here to have the brakes bleed and recently for a tire balance and alignment. Staff are very friendly and helpful. They even noticed a loose bolt on my exhaust system and tightened it for me. That's good service. I will be back for other services I can't do myself. read more

My 2 Dually tires were installed with faulty valve stems in Las Vegas, Nevada by Ted Weins on Craig. I was constantly adding air until I finally had all 4 flat at my KOA campsite. The 3A tow followed me as they could only add more air. RV too big for their flat bed. Big O diagnosed the problem, fixed it, and I was on my way in 2 hours. No appointment, a drop in customer. Big o tires sent me a coupon to my house for a 5 year alignment . I went in and had some front end work done andpaid for the alignment. i told the guy i wanted a 5 year alignment. Somehow there system had me down for a 6 month alignment . I brought in the coupon and the employee input something wrong. Today the service guys tells me i only have 6 month. I will never go back to big o tires. I have done a lot of business over the years. the employee did not care. In my opinion I can not recommend this dishonest business to anyone read more

They didn't think that they be able to do anything until Monday because it was getting so close to closing but Rylan came out and told my daughter he'd be able to. I really appreciate it! Their are three gentlemen that work up front, fast very friendly and super entertaining and encouraging. I recently had purchased a vehicle off of a 3rd party small dealership, and after driving it for a couple of days something seemed very wrong. I brought it in to the local Big O and let me tell you I was right, the guy proceeded to take a look at my vehicle and they found that the top hat of my strut or something like that wasn't even screwed down. I guess it was missing a nut (excuse me for the lack of terminology) on a stud and the other nuts were loose. the guy with the long beard took some basic info let me know, outside of this small problem the vehicle was in pretty good condition, which was encouraging . Told me afterwords I only owed a smile and to have a beautiful rest of the day. To have peace of mind I would have paid, but he wouldn't take anything. Went to Big O to get a tire slow leak fixed a couple of months ago. Went to do my brakes today's and the lug nuts on the tire the repaired are all jacked up from using the wrong socket to remove and replace the tire with one lug nut loose. read more

From reading prior reviews these same guys, Jim, Jesus and Dan still are lying to and cheating their customers. Had the A/C checked and it needed to be replaced, the shop couldn't get to it for a few days and we had a long drive to make on a hot day. Dan gave a low ball estimate of $550 to $950 to replace the A/C. After we dropped off the car, we got a call from Dan saying it would be $3600 +. They wanted $100 for "checking out things" as stated in the fine print of their work order. They did not get it, but they did get an dressing down from my Vietnam veteran husband, Crooks, my net stop is a consumer complaint. read more

Orders a set of tires and had an appointment to get them installed on Friday. I drop my car off Friday and get a call 20 minutes later saying their compressor went out so they wouldn't be able to get to my car Saturday morning. Around noon on Saturday I decided to drive by and see why I haven't heard from them and if my car was ready. My car was completed and sitting in the parking lot and no one told me I was also missing all the valve caps and when I went back to get them the guy was extremely rude and never said sorry for forgetting to put them back on and after he put them on he just walked away and didn't even tell me he was done I had to shout at him as he was walking away and ask if he was done. read more

I'm having a hard time understanding where these negative reviews are coming from when my entire experience with Big O in Oroville has been phenomenal. I actually switched from a previous repair shop to Big O given how positive my first experience with them was. I'm always able to get in quickly, and the customer service is so great. If there is a way for me to save some money, i.e. a deal/sale/promotion i'm always informed. Mark especially has hooked me up numerous times. I recently moved across the country, and Mark got me in for an 'extremely last minute' inspection and tire rotation. Moving is stressful enough, add on a 3,000+ mile trek across the United States? Even more stressful. I had been going to Big O when a guy named Mark worked there. The service was great and I had no complaints. Then Mark left and the service was terrible after that. I was walking from my car through the parking lot to go inside the tire shop and and employee was pulling a customers car out of the work station up to the front door I'm assuming for a customer. When he pulled out of the work station in front of me he just flew out fast and carelessly as I was starting to walk across the lot. Then when he stopped in front of the building by the door I had walked up behind the car to go into the building. He put the car in reverse and hit me! I smacked the back of the car with my hand to get his attention. He looks back never gets out of the car to see if I'm okay and never apologized. I told the manager and nothing was ever done. Never got an apology. I have never went back and won't. I've had other issues with them also. read more

Don't waste your money or your time. They will try and wine and dine you, bribe you with free oil changes, and not deliver. I should have bought my tires at les Schwab like I usually do, but I thought the free oil change would be worth it and save me a trip to an extra place. They also did not make sure my hood was latched (why it was even open, I have no idea) since they confirmed they didn't do the oil change and I would have to come back at another time to do that, I drove all the way home with my hood open. Now I am stuck with tires from a place I don't even want to return to. Sucks all around. read more

Called them in the morning to see if I could get an appointment, was told it wasn't needed as they aren't busy. Said I would be in after lunch time. Man stopped to ask me if my car was there for an inspection, I said no I'm just getting tires. Went in said I need 4 all weather tires. He showed me one in stock. I said ok. Brought me a paper to sign. Held another paper over it. All I could see was the total and a place to sign. Thought $675 was high. Asked him how much the tires cost and he said 59 or 60 dollars. He left I thought about it and asked why it was so high when I saw him again because the tire only added up to less than $250.00. Mumbled about balancing, and all that and the alignment cost $99.00. Comes with getting tires. Didn't ask for an alignment or the Warrenty. All I ever asked for was 4 tires installed on my car. They kept telling me other things that were wrong. It didn't occur to me that they were giving my car their big inspection that I didn't ask for. After waiting over 3 hrs they were done. Parts were $303.00 and labor $291.00. Total bill to have 4 $60.00 tires put on $677.60. One of them broke my glove compartment door. The car pulls to the right now after their alignment. Went straight before. And there is a funny noise coming from the left front that wasn't there before. read more

And I stood outside for about 45 minutes waiting for them to take my car. But I get a call from them saying that my car was done. But i never seen anyone go look at my car to even move it. Big O tire just lost a customer today. 1. They try to convince me to do unnecessary work on my vehicle. They recommend work, I decline it, I then go to my mechanic and he confirms that the work is not needed! 2. They need to hire more employees. They are always so busy that you need to make an appointment. I have a nail in my tire, but they can't fix it until next week. I was just in last week for the same thing. 3. Les Schwab told me that if I brought my vehicle back in for the same thing a week later that they would fix it immediately without my having to wait. Women beware! I think this Big O store tries to take advantage of women who they perceive to be ignorant of the workings of a car. I went to Big O to get my tires rotated and to get a tune-up before a big trip. When I came to pick up my car, the salesman came up to me with a worried face and informed me there was a leak in my power steering system and that the fluid was just rushing out. He said that it was very dangerous because if the fluid container was empty my steering would not work and I could be on the freeway and unable to steer. The repairs would cost over $700. I said, "That absolutely will not happen, if the fluid runs dry, the power steering will not work, but the regular steering will still definitely work. It will be harder to turn the wheel at low speeds, but the steering will not freeze up." So, he began to back pedal, and finally agreed I was right. I then asked him to just refill the fluid. He said, "Oh, the fluid won't even stay in the system it will just flow out onto the ground." I told him to try it anyway. This incident happened a year ago, and I still haven't had to add power steering fluid to the car. There was nothing at all wrong with the power steering system. I drove the car from California to New Jersey and back and not a drop leaked out. I am an older woman. I think Big O uses scare tactics in an attempt to frighten older women like me into paying for repairs they don't need. Shame on you! read more

I've been bringing my car here consistently for 2 years after my hiccup with the last services I got done and I can say that the previous Sales associate Mark and the new one Dan have completely turned my view on this store and it's employees around. They have been nothing but respectful and helpful in finding the best parts and services to keep my car running. Just had my oil changed using a Groupon. You can't beat the price. As an added bonus, Mark & his crew are extremely nice & professional. You can tell they enjoy their jobs as they are happy & friendly. I also needed an alignment, & Mark let me know there was a Groupon for that, too. Never go to Big O Tires in Oroville. I needed to buy new tires. When they looked at my tires they said they were all bad. I had just went to Les Schwab and they said I just needed to replace two tires. The manager gave me estimated charges for work he said needed to be done after inspecting my car. The estimated extra work that needed to be done was $2400.00. I believed I was being lied to because they said my brakes needed to be fully replaced. They told me they were shot and this included pads, drums etc. My pads were just replaced two months ago!!!! When I told him I didn't want the work done and that I felt they were screwing with me, the manager rudely responded by saying, " How can I screw with you when your car is falling apart". So I took my Honda to Les Schwab and my tires were $100.00 cheaper. They gave me estimated charges of needed repair. The total cost was $600.00. I then asked him how my brakes looked. (He had no idea of my estimate from Big O Tires). He said there was nothing wrong with them. Not only was Big O Tires dishonest in their estimated work that needed to be done on my car but also their prices were twice as much. Their customer service skills need to be addressed too. Yesterday my partner went shopping for tires for our Honda. He first went to Les Schwab as this is where he originally got the tires. I have gone back and forth about them as when they rotated the tires last, they did not check the tire pressure and the tires were LOW! Ok, a store that specializes in tires and they dont check the tire pressure? I do not trust them! Well Les Schwabs tires doubled in price, and my partner ended up at Big O tires. I pulled in at 4pm as I knew they closed at 4:30. I had planned on getting a gift card for tires for my wife's new truck as a Christmas present. When I pulled in the parking lot the first employee I see is walking into the shop while looking at me, shaking his head in a look of disgust. My wife recently went tire shopping and tried out Big O. When she went to Big O she told them that she only wanted to buy 2 tires for the front end for now and buy the other 2 later. Well, the guy at Big O told my wife that our Mini-Van was All Wheel Drive and she would have to buy 4 tires instead of 2. This could be true, but the kicker is, our Mini-Van is only 2-WD not AWD. My wife didn't know this at the time and thank goodness she didn't have enough money to buy all 4. Instead she went to quality used and they hooked her up. I will share this story with anyone that mentions Big O Tires to me. I am also sending my wife back to Big O to get the name of the person who tried to swindle her and send a letter to their home office.
