We had a catastrophic blowout while traveling, and after we landed in a very kind strangers driveway and he helped us install the spare, he sent us to this place. We pulled up and explained the problem and they told us to pull right into the garage. They were super busy but got us and about 7 other cars through within the hour. I think they were working on 3 cars at a time, through their single lane drive through. They sold us two rear tires on our mini van for $100 and they look practically brand new. My relationship with QUT started in 2017 when I brought them our a recently acquired 2011 Acura MDX which came with one bum tire. It turns out an AWD vehicle needs to have similar wear on each tire (same outside diameter) so I would need $1200 worth of tires. No. Way. After 2 trips and 4 phone calls to other stores, Quality Used Tire came through with a $70'ish (installed) properly worn tire of the correct size (properly worn is the operative word here.) My 2017 Acadia with 45,000 miles (work car) needed a set of doughnuts in November of 2019. $1200+ worth of tires for that beast were instead handled for $300 with 80% tread remaining in October of 2019. Same for the MDX...brought it in for 4 tires in February of 2020. $300 out the door. Boom. These are not garbage tires, they are in great condition and were removed for some reason or another. We're not what you'd call poor, but we're not into wasting money either. This place is our FIRST stop for tires in Chico. read more

I called to get a quote on 4 brand new tires and was told they would cost less than $300. I SPECIFICALLY ASKED how much it would cost to have FOUR BRAND NEW TIRES put on my vehicle. Less than $300, they said. When I took the car in, all of a sudden it changed, and they said in fact the tires would be closer to $600 but that they could sell me a USED SET for around $300. BAD BUSINESS. Stuff like this is all too common in the car industry, whether you're dealing with mechanics, car salesmen, or even - apparently! - tire stores. Maybe they just wanted to get me in there so they could pull the old 'bait and switch,' and figured I would settle for it if I was already there. I don't know what their motive for this was, but I don't ignore red flags; I'll be taking my business elsewhere. read more

I doubt I am going to say anything here that isnt already known, but this business continues to set a bar for excellence in customer service. There are few people in this town that haven't been saved when they had that emergency happen where they had a flat and had very little cash on hand. The culture of this business is second to none when it comes to the customer. The other day I had a flat in the morning. Called a tire shop and they spent 15 min trying to upsell me and then at the end had no inventory and I would have to wait a couple days. I got off the phone, drove to quality, rolled the tire up to the front and the guy at the front said it would be about a half hour as they were short staffed that morning but it would be soon. I left it with them no questions asked and in 30 min it was waiting outside for me with a near new tire on it. I walked in and paid and that was it. There is no other place in the area that I have that much faith in. Keep it up guys and thank you for what you do. read more

Thought about just getting two tires if needed but the guy said there was no need to replace the tires yet and that they should last all through summer. When those times come around, these guys are the absolute best. They have a large inventory with just about any type of tire you can imagine. The tires are great quality too....just as their name implies. Don't get me wrong......they don't last as long as a new tire would. But then, they aren't supposed to.
