Do not go here unless you want to waste your money. They are liars and charged us $95 to just flip a switch. They lied to us about the price of just "looking" at our van. $200 to just look at it! We told them do nothing unless it's covered under warranty. Now they saw looking at the van and flipping a switch is t covered under warranty. The staff was very helpful getting the Security Vehicle back on the road. I was in Oroville from Sacramento and the vehicle had a tire puncture. The staff did a great job repairing the tire with great communication. The person that did the repair told me in great detail what happened to the tire and what repairs were made. A couple weeks ago I had a dead battery, drove it directly to Briggs and they were kind enough to squeeze in a battery change for me (they were very busy that day) AND they even hooked me up with a discount! I also had their $50 gift card that they sent out in their Christmas cards which in my opinion was an above and beyond effort that I appreciated a ton. Tom and Darren are always super friendly and I trust the mechanics with my car 100% no questions asked! Walked in for an oil change today and they got me in and out within 45 minutes. Plus I got to use the $25 oil change coupon that was in the Christmas card as well. I've had plenty of services done here over the years after trying out other local shops and ending up disappointed. Their waiting room has wifi, comfy seating, charging stations, you can see your car, a tv, stuff for kids, magazines, coffee and snacks. They've even given me a ride home and back to the shop while I waited for my car to be done before. Their inspections are very thorough. I have their credit card and it's very easy to manage, has promotional financing, and if you forget to bring your card with you they have the ability and willingness to find out your card info so you can still pay. I have 5 Star and 1 Star service here... 5I took my Mazda in for a loud noise about a year ago and they were able to quickly figure out it was a wheel boot issue and I got in and out quickly and changed my timing belt because I asked for it. I always ask if there is anything we need to do, to please let me know and I'll see what I can afford. This last visit 6 months ago 1; I brought it in for a check engine light on it that was otherwise running ok.. they gave me a lecture about needing to change plugs and wires because it was a misfire code- I had just been in with the timing belt and I had asked if we should do that at that time and they said no, it looked great.. they also seemed more concerned about recommending buying new tires (they currently only have 30k on them??) than the engine; $700 for diagnostics/plugs/wires/labor at that visit. A few weeks later the check engine light came back on after, and then it stalled on me in traffic and lit up like a Christmas tree. It had originally taken me 2 weeks to get apt with Briggs for the first time the light had come on and I didn't have that kind of time, so I took it to another mechanic and he was very concerned because the cylinder 3 plug looked completely burnt and it was a different brand than the others (he encouraged me to go back and warranty the work with Briggs- but at this point I really didn't trust them if they had done this) , other mechanic was able to diagnose it with a master flow issue and changed everything out again and kept it until sure it was actually fixed. That visit cost me $1800 with that mechanic but it's been running great for over a month now.. should have just took it to the other guy in the first place and put that 700 towards actually repairing it and not feel talked down to. the staff is usually very nice and patient and the waiting area is nice, they seem knowledgeable and have certified staff. They've been so great in the past, I was super shocked this happened but others in the area should be aware that this happened. read more

I had the pleasure of getting my car diagnosed and repaired the same day for half the price. Oroville Ford was going to charge me twice as much for a repair for damage they caused. I wish I could give negative stars. I just had my radiator replaced and my transmission started slipping the day I picked up my truck. Checked my transmission fluid level and it was low as in almost gone. While at this shop I had my oil changed the same day as the radiator repair. Part of the oil change is a "courtesy check" of other parts of your vehicle which is standard at any oil change place. Apparently checking the transmission fluid isn't part of that check. I spent over $700 with these guys and almost lost a transmission because of it. read more

I have returned there since for oil changes and every time they have driven me to work and picked me up when the car was done--EXCELLENT customer service, The waiting room is clean and loos to be newly remolded. Its nice when your 76yr old mother doesn't freak out anymore because she has such faith in her boys... so when we started hearing a very disturbing noise on our way back from the doc,,, she was so calm cool and collected ,,, she just said " we will just have to take it to the boys" I would of thought she was a celebrity!!! We were on a girls trip shop hopping visiting quilt shops in Northern California when I got a flat tire. After 3 hours stranded in the middle of nowhere we made it to Oroville. We had several options but the other shops we checked with said it would take 3 days and I would have to buy 4 tires. I am very impressed with how far Briggs firestone came. I stopped coming here a while ago due to one employee being rude to me. Decided to come back and give it another try and I'm glad I did. Darren is an angel and one of the best manager I ever seen. Even before I stopped coming here, he was always a sweetheart and made me feel like a value customer. The new improvements to the company is to die for. They sent me photos and updates through my email about the problems they saw with my vehicle in order to ensure that they weren't just out to get my money. I don't know squats about cars and the photos helped a lot. If you come here, know that you're in the best of hands and whatever they promise to get done, they will do it. It is a little pricey but they do sent out coupons at the end of the year that will help cut the cost. I got my oil change, brakes flush and changed, and tires rotated which costed me about $327. Labor was the main charge but my ride does feel a lot smoother. I also love the fact that if you don't have a ride back, they offer to come and pick you up. I was passing through Oroville when my check engine light came on. I panicked a bit, I had a long drive ahead of me and recent car trouble. I called Briggs Firestone to see if they could read the code. Despite it being Saturday, very last minute, and what appeared to be a full schedule, they got me in. The gentleman who helped me was very thorough. He fully explained what the code meant and what the likely cause was. After his reassure that it was safe to drive on until I could get to my usual mechanic, I completed my trip safely. If these guys were located close to where I live, I would bring my truck to only them, forever and ever amen. I mean, seriously, family owned business and all around super nice people. I have coincidentally had two break-downs near Oroville. The first time I was towed to them by chance. The second time, I requested to be towed there because I knew they would take good care of me. First of all - they were open on a Saturday!! Hallelujah! Second, their waiting room with wi-fi is a great place to hang out when you're waiting for a diagnosis. Third, they go out of their way to help an out-of-towner find alternate transpo. Fourth, and most important, they repaired my Toyota Tacoma sooner than promised and for LOT less money than estimated.
