An unparalleled experience. Unicorn service. Can I give 6-stars? Honestly, read this…read more.. Day 1, Saturday, of a four week road trip, we drove from SoCal to Pleasanton, CA and heard a clicking sound coming from the rear end once we were off the freeway and could hear again. Since we were picking up our caravan partner and heading north, we needed to find a mechanic in NorCal, along our route and nearby. We used the VanAlert app (must have!) and found Westy World in Chico. I called the number (Saturday, remember?) to leave a hopeful message that they may be able to squeeze us in on Monday for a look-see. I couldn't leave a message because Brian answered! As we discussed the issue, Brian offered to stop-by Pleasanton on SUNDAY, after a nearby Van drop-off. We met at a roadside parking lot and Brian crawled under the van to find and definitively diagnose a broken axel. If this was the end of the story, I am sure you would agree that this is a once in a lifetime automotive and humanitarian experience. It has had such a profound impact on us that we use it as the measure of the Golden Rule - we try to treat others the way Brian treated us. But the story goes on. From the parking lot Brian rallied his team back in Chico to set up an appointment on Monday to repair our axel. We are pretty sure that Westy World was not keeping a time slot open for that Monday to address our emergency. So all the other projects must have been put on hold to make our emergency their emergency. As we agreed in the parking lot on Sunday, we covered the time and expense for Kyle to DRIVE FROM CHICO TO REDDING AND BACK on Monday morning to pick up the replacement axel. When we rolled into Chico Kyle jacked up our '87 GL and completed the repair before we could finish out lunch. Everyone was mellow, untroubled, kind and very knowledgeable. What a great mindset to calm us in our moment of flexing. After our trip we checked in with our local mechanic, who verified two things: the parts used (from Burley Motosports) were the best available, and Westy World charged us as though this was a regularly scheduled appointment - no emergency premium! It is an honor to have had this experience and to have Kyle and Brian in our world. Thank you both and everyone else at Westy World that was affected by our incursion.

**Bait-and-Switch Pricing & Broken Promises--Women Beware**…read more **Review:** I initially had a positive impression of Big O Tires in Oroville, CA--the staff was friendly and courteous. However, that goodwill vanished when I was hit with a blatant price hike at checkout. I was quoted **$145.99 per tire** (for a set of four) but was charged **$168.49 per tire** when it came time to pay--a $22.50 **per-tire increase** with no explanation. For context: - **Pep Boys** sells the same tires for **$105 each** (but I couldn't wait due to a flat). - **Walmart** priced them at **$145**, which seemed fair--until Big O Tires quietly inflated the cost. The next day, I returned to question the charge. Instead of resolving it, they took my phone number, promised to call, and **never followed up**. This confirms a pattern of dishonesty: first overcharging, then ignoring complaints. This feels like a **predatory practice**, and I suspect gender played a role. While I observed male customers receiving transparent pricing, my final bill was jacked up without justification. If you're a woman getting service here, **demand the quoted price in writing** and scrutinize your invoice--because they won't make it right afterward. I've attached receipts and the original quote as proof. Shame on Big O Tires for exploiting customers who trust them. **Women in Oroville: take your business elsewhere.**

Instead, I was helped by an absolute gem of an employee who turned my whole day around. I told him I needed the oil change before driving to the Bay on Saturday. After checking my profile, he let me know I actually didn't need one--the tracker just hadn't been reset during my last visit. He reset it, topped off my oil, fixed the air in my tires, and sent me on my way--all without charging me for a service I didn't need. He saved me money and time, and honestly, he saved my weekend with family. I'm so happy and grateful. Good days like this don't happen often, and I left feeling taken care of, not taken advantage of. Thank you!

I got an oil change here. A few weeks later I had oil leaking in my driveway. I went to dirks…read morethinking it was something more serious wrong with my car. Dirks let me know the leak was coming from my crushed oil filter (see photo) and honestly they tried to not throw jiffy under the bus, bigger people than me I suppose. If I seem annoyed it's because of what followed when I returned to jiffy with photos in hand with my receipts and their techs initials on my crushed filter and they basically told me (actually my bf because I don't like confrontation) that we were lying and DIRKS CANT BE TRUSTED!!ll and they said would review video evidence and that they have all these processes in place to prevent an oil filter from ever being crushed blah blah even though it literally happened to me. I just wanted my money back even though my driveway has oil stains now and I had to pay somewhere else for another oil change (shout out dirks) well before leaving i texted them my photos and told them to review their cameras and bring in a forensic investigator and maybe have me take a lie detector test. Within minutes of leaving I got a call I guess The photos were enough for them to start back tracking and agreeing that the filter removal tool was used to tighten my filter denting it, breaking the seal and causing it to eventually leak down my whole driveway. They offered me a free future oil change but since I will never take my car there again I gave it to my bf and have been waiting for him to use it before I left my review. They owe dirks an apology for all the mean things they said about them when dirks was nothing but professional.
