Loved the Original Chop Shop. Easily the best new restaurant I've been introduced to this year. The food was priced right and the staff was great. I had a spicy shrimp bowl and it was amazing. I especially loved the eclectic mix of patrons and the fact that its nestled next to a cool coffee shop / bar and all just around the corner from me. Delicious, fresh, healthy options. I love to get the thai peanut chicken bowl. The vegetables in the bowl are perfectly cooked and seasoned. Always a good excuse to get a delicious fresh juice. A great alternative to burgers or pizza. read more

This Chop Shop has been a great new addition to the neighborhood. The staff is outstanding, I don't know how they found them. I wish I could name them all but let's just say everyone in a Levi jacket. Cash is a awesome manager on his shift. Met a friend for lunch, and was really looking forward to it! VERY disappointed though. The young lady taking orders was unhelpful and rude. I asked to have a sandwich put on a bed of greens instead of using any bread (I'm keto, please upcharge me.) She flat out refused. No customer service, no empathy, no asking someone, no nothing. It's not like they don't have salad greens. Poor policy. Although the grilled steak sandwich without the bread (eaten off the bread and wrapper with a fork) was pretty darn good, I won't go again. I guess I still believe in old school customer service. Original Chop Shop at Arcadia did NOT make me feel good, which is their claim to fame. Shame. read more

I have to say the original chop shop has to be my favorite place for healthy options to eat and drink their detox drink, and face lift are my two favorite juices the and the green curry bowl with chicken nothing disappoints here. I was here for the first time a year ago and loved the salad and smoothie I got. When I went today, the service was fine. There was no one else in the restaurant at the time. The salad was put together sloppily, falling out the side of the container. The sweet potato hash was hard and cold. The quinoa side had no flavor. The smoothie was watered down. The seats needed to be recovered. Nice clean bathrooms! Also, nice employees! The açaí bowl you could definitely taste the apple juice base. read more

So.....just stopped at The Original Chop House at 32nd an Campbell. Placed my order and handed the cashier a $20 bill. He said "We're cashless". I gestured at the two tip jars overflowing with......you guessed it.... CASH. I asked about the cashless (refusal to accept legal tender) and he said he didn't know but thought it was "corporate" No more Original Chop House for me.....dang I like their food. I eat here on occasion because it is a convenient lunch spot for me. I'm never really completely impressed with the food but it fills a need for lunch. The sandwiches leave a lot to be desired/they fall apart easily, the bread does not taste fresh, and the toppings are scarce and soggy. Their protein bowls are heavy on the rice and light on the other veggies and protein, but the flavor is good. They do a great job at the juices and açaí bowls. Service is fine. I wish they wouldn't use plastic cutlery since it's so wasteful. All in all, it's pretty expensive for food that has a lower level of quality than I would expect. We used to visit their first location in Old Town years ago, and it just seems like their food quality has gone down since they have grown and opened up more and more locations. read more

EVERY SINGLE TIME I've been to this location they have gotten my order wrong. I don't know if they're not listening to me or the people reading the order aren't looking at it properly but I'm so confused as to where it is going wrong. I stopped going after they have messed up 6+ times and decided to give it another chance today. They had two other people come up to the cashier and say their order was wrong as well within the 10 minutes I was there. And of course mine was wrong too and they had to remake it. I really hope they are just not tossing out the food that they are making wrong. PLEASE chop shop figure it out it shouldn't be that difficult. read more

100% would not recommend getting food to go or ordering through Uber Eats from this place... This location will not treat your order the same and that is honestly pretty shameful. Do you think customers who are leaving your place to eat or ordering delivery, aren't also customers who typically come in or still continue to coming back after they experience this type of thing? I ordered four bowls and a salad through Uber Eats for my parents while they were under the weather and it was hardly any food at all... Bowls were not even filled halfway and the salad was filled significantly less than the bowls! I ordered a SALAD which is already less food so why would someone in-turn, include even less greens?? Yikes. The pieces of lettuce were so large and just kind of folded into the bowl so that it appeared to be fuller than it was until you took the lid off. Come on you guys honestly... There is nothing worse than ordering to go or delivery when you are also paying more than you would in the restaurant to begin with plus delivery charge and a tip to THEN open your food and see it is less in every way than you would have received in person. Not good service at all. I feel bad for anyone who delivers food from here as well because ignorant customers might blame them and tip less! Well if you enjoy fresh healthy food with amazing flavor this is your place. I was not disappointed with the flavor it was amazing so good I could easily eat there everyday. Everything I had was stellar. Now if there is one thing I have to say was disappointing was portions. More then a few pieces of steak would have been awesome the veggies could have filled the bowl. So go here definitely you will love it, but don't expect to get full maybe moderately satisfied. It's a great pregame for the after meal. read more

Great outdoor seating on the lawn under shade trees. Several small tables and areas to chat with friends. Diverse smoothie and juice menu and Kombucha on tap! Juice with cucumber, pineapple, and coconut water was excellent. I could have easily sat here for hours. Nestled downtown but the city seemed blocked out while in the relaxing courtyard. Being new to Arizona, I enjoyed stumbling upon ChopShop! I ordered the vegetarian wrap, and although I wasn't the biggest fan(too much hummus).... I still really enjoyed the bowls and juices! Also they have this tofu curry bowl that I enjoy- with the sweet potato hash... that's delicious! I like that their granola is gluten free too! The staff is always cute and sweet... and they are so patient with me while I stand there for (what feels like an hour) trying to figure out what I want! So thank you! read more

Noisy, but the food is good! *and very healthy* I ordered the Thai Coconut Chicken protein bowl and I highly recommend it. The only problem with dining in is the noise LEVEL. Tried it today. Won't be back. I don't mind paying good money for good food, but when you spend that much, it should not be served in disposable bowls and eaten with plastic forks. There were hardly any vegetables in the protein bowls. The salads have small amounts of flavorless meat. Just FYI, the American salad has eggs, not hard boiled eggs, hot scrambled eggs. My biggest complaint though is the noise. There are no soft surfaces to absorb all the noise. The music was blaring. The chairs dragged against the cement floors creating a loud annoying scraping sound. On top of all that, there are constantly loud blenders making smoothies, and another grinding noise coming from the area behind the registers. The cashiers couldn't even hear our questions about the menu. With all the options for salads and rice bowls around, I was just very unimpressed and could not wait to leave. read more

Original ChopShop is one of my favorite restaurants ever. Everything that I've had at any location is amazing and keeps me coming back. My biggest gripe? The fact that there isn't one nearby me, though that changes with their new Arcadia location. I attended their soft opening tonight and wasn't disappointed! Staff was super friendly, there was plenty of seating, and of course the food was delicious. I had the spicy korean steak bowl with forbidden rice - my go to order - and their slim squeeze juice. I'm so excited about this new location and can see myself coming by all the time. This place could be a bit pricy, but it's all worth it. read more

So first the good - they have some great, quick sandwich and salad options, and even some great breakfast choices. We love the location since it is a quick walk for us. So that said, we generally love this place but today my spouse, after eating there with one son, grabbed a juice to go for the other son (my seriously germaphobic son) and it came with a long brown hair (which he unfortunately found after sucking it up his straw). Yuck. Reading the other reviews it appears this is not isolated so my suggestion is that they take some steps to remedy the issue (I realize hairnets are not cute but they are way cooler than hair in salad and juices). read more

I needed a last minute catering order for my office lunch of 10 people and chop shop came through! I needed to pick up at 12:15 and my order was ready to go right when I got there. The restaurant was packed full of hungry lunch goers but that didn't seem to slow any of the crew down one bit. Everything was labeled and super easy to set up once I got back to the office. The cater size iced tea and lemonade was a huge hit as well as the chicken teriyaki protein bowl. Employees are awesome and the food is great, the only problem is how understaffed they are. I tried to order lunch for my office once and after half an hour on hold had to hang up and order from elsewhere. Every time we call to place an order for pickup it takes forever for someone to answer the phone, not sure why they don't have the phones fully staffed during lunch time! read more

I used to frequent the Tempe location, pretty awesome although I do remember the plates being more substantial than a loose handful of spring mix with carrots. Been coming here for lunch or breakfast since they opened. The service and food are hit and miss. Wait times are exceptionally long even when it's not busy. I have a couple of co-workers who will no longer frequent Chop Shop as the restaurant can't seem to ever get their orders right. My orders have come out wrong on occasion as well but I've generally been satisfied with my experience. Up until now my main complaint was the long wait times for to go orders. I waited too long today for my order to the point that I was handed a 2$ off coupon for my next visit. Although irritating I understand there might be issues with timeliness and efficiency at times in a restaurant but to wait 15 minutes AND have my order come out wrong is adding insult to injury. I really don't like their market bun and asked for sliced ciabatta and what did I get.....market bun. Another disappointing experience from a restaurant that seemed to have potential. Unfortunately I think I'm done overlooking their deficiencies. read more
