Loved this place! Small inside and DEFINITELY not fancy, but it's cute vintage decor was really charming. The staff was really nice and helpful. Went above and beyond to make it a good experience. We both wanted the same spaghetti plate (I can't recall the name, i think it was called moms cold spaghetti?) we weren't super hungry, so they graciously split it for us. It came with a nice fresh salad and garlic bread which was really good. The spaghetti dish was really yummy. It was an interesting spin on a classic spaghetti and meatballs. It has extra veggies and was cooked a little differently. If you are looking for a fancy Michelin rated establishment, this place probably isn't for you, but if you are looking for some inexpensive and delicious food, this restaurant is great!! read more

We waited in line for about half an hour and then once we ordered it took another 45 minutes to prepare. While the food is good and the vibe is cool I wouldn't suggest eating here if you would not like to wait in a long line to order a pizza. The pizza sizes are also inconvenient because it's only a tiny small that could feed 1 person or a large that could feed 4 people. If I could put zero stars, I would. The service was horrible! I ordered a simple pepperoni pizza and they said it would take 20 min. When there were 5 min left, I decided to approach and wait outside. The cashier then proceeded to come out and ask everyone what they had ordered (what poor management). I proceeded to wait along with other customers as we slowly grew more irritated at how long it was taking. A gentlemen proceeded to go and ask for a few slices of pepperoni and received them before any of us and a person who had order way after me, received theirs before I did. I proceeded to go ask only to find out that those pizza slices had been from my pizza. 40 min after ordering, I decided to just ask for my refund because they have absolutely no idea what they're doing. Holy Mackerel! I got a small mushroom and pineapple pizza and my boyfriend got the combo- they were piled so high with toppings I didnt think the crust would hold up. Little did I know! This review is for the deli/pizza joint rather than the restaurant which also operates as Antonio's. We had a hankering for thin crust pizza, but were told by locals that there really wasn't a good pizza place on the island and were pointed to Antonio's as the best of what is available. Sure enough it was OK but far from great. Heaping amounts of cheese in a soft, mid thickness crust. We also ordered chicken wings, hot, which came out dry and with medium heat. The servers try hard. This place was a surprise for me, I really didn't expect a good pizza. I am in no way a connoisseur of pizza, but you either love it or hate it. I bought one slice on the go as I was heading to rehearsals for Grease, and it was conveniently right across from my hotel. It only cost like $2.50. I bite into this cheesy pizza with a very garlicy taste. It was delicious. and it was the big thin slices you have to fold with your 2 fingers and thumb. Came here over the weekend, I wanted somewhere not too expensive my gf notice a pizza joint a little bit of the main street. We decided to give it a chance. It was a small restaurant with lots of memorabilia and 50s tunes playing constantly. The first thing I notice was the sign that says," through your peanut shells on the floor" I was surprised because I've never seen anything like it before. We ordered a pizza and it was really good! Thin crust and crunchy the waitress was by herself so she had her hands full sometimes but over all the experience here was humble and good! It's not the best Italian restaurant, but it's a great little place to eat on Catalina Island. This place has been around since 1978 with the same pizza recipe. You just got to love it for what it is. There are peanuts on the table. You just throw the shells on the floor. The place has old Hollywood pictures on the walls and plays 50's music. Great pizza, the dough was soft and flavorful. I got two slice of pepperoni pizza and it was one of the best I had. It also filled me up. The people there are nice and if your on the island on a budget for good food. It's best to try this place. It gets busy, but the food comes out fast. First walked in my attention drawn to sloppy cooks who looked dirty as if they hadn't showered in days! Then I see the 2 garbage cans full and over flowing. We walked in with 3 kids and 4 adults ordered 3 pizzas; pizza we ordered was supposed to have pepperoni, came with no meat! When we told waitress (older Hispanic woman) it was if we made the mistake- pizza comes back within 5 minutes, cold meat thrown on top! And it was salami! Our veggie pizza, vegetables weren't cooked they obviously threw the green peppers on top after the fact- uncooked!! Mushrooms, let's talk about the canned mushrooms are u fricking kidding me, you can't get fresh mushrooms??? And don't tell me/us that those mushrooms aren't canned- my family owned a produce company in Chicago for many years! The pizza is awful!! Please don't waste your time. Bathroom was disgusting, entire restaurant dirty, filthy absolutely dirty!! Can't believe the Cali department of health hasn't shut this joint down! Styrofoam plates and bowls for your individual disgusting salad- No draft root beer, water was from plastic bottles, way to look out for our precious environment! Horrible service!!!!!!!! The lady that helped me was named Olga. I asked her a question about the pizza and she told me she didn't know and the pizza was what it was. Then, she didn't give me a receipt with my order, when I asked for one, she aggressively told me " well, I don't know! I have to look at my computer." First, that is not my issue. As a customer, a paying customer, you should've given me a receipt to begin with. Then, she begins to aggressively go through the computer info while talking to another coworker saying " well, this lady wants a receipt," then throws the receipt at me and says" I took a lot of orders so I don't know if this is it," and walks away. I have never experienced such horrible customer service. I'm shocked, will never eat here again when visiting. Stay away from this place! Also-- I think she gave me the wrong size too. The pizza is great. We also had an Italian sub which was good. The salad was basic which wasn't disappointing however the salad dressing was. It tasted like it came right out of a bottle from the grocery store. They should make fresh dressings. It's the least they could do. It isn't hard to make fresh ranch dressing daily and it makes salad better. I also had a prime rib sandwich that was awful. The bread was good but the meat was soooo not fresh. It was as if they cooked a prime rib, sliced it, then froze portions of the meat to microwave whenever anyone ordered that sandwich. Such a shame and waste. The meat was discolored, hard, flavorless and disgusting. The sauce they put on it was bland. Again, they should put some love into the sandwich. They have a captive audience on the island but we aren't fools and they should respect their savvy customers more and give us better options made with love. I go to Catalina for a week every year since I was born. This place is great. It is everything that the larger Antonio's used to be. Definitely come here over the large one. Everything is the same with this one as it should be, this one was not sold like the larger one. Food is amazing. Many times I Bring a pizza home the day I leave. My favorite pizza is a cheese crisp. Basically pizza bread with mozzarella cheese and peppercinies on it. No marinara sauce, nothing. And it is amazing! My only complaint is that it is very tiny and most likely you wont get a chance to eat inside, but that is fine cause it gives you a chance to take your pizza anywhere and eat on the pier or just a bench on the street. Antonios is one of the worst pizzas I have ever had. I have had better pizza out of the frozen food section at my local grocery store. If I had an oven in my hotel, I would have been better off going to the local Vons. Little Caesars is even better then this place, and LIttle Caesars sucks! There is nothing "original" about this pizza restaurant. We ordered two large pizza's, the crust was very similar to frozen pizza you would buy at the grocery store. The mushrooms were canned and not fresh. The pizza was much smaller than the actual box for a large pizza. Don't waste your money there. read more

Super cute and home style on the inside. Pasta was watery and was a very small serving for like $14. Came with a salad but it was just a chunk of sour iceberg lettuce. The smell out side of the restaurant is very appealing but unfortunately I can't say the same for the taste. The pizza lacked flavor and some of the crust was burnt - black crisp. When we brought this up they said that's how it's baked. I guess they were right because that's how the other pizza's looked. We were both very impressed; it was flavorful, a generous portion and perfectly seasoned. My wife had the Italian Sub, which she loved. One in our party had the tuna sandwich, it was a hit.
