We got seated pretty quick this time which was shocking due to it being the 4th! The pizza also comes out pretty fast once seated which is nice. I liked the decor in here and in the restroom haha! The service was great too for us, nice workers. The food is just average though, it's a decently priced pizza joint with limited seating on catalina island so i don't really know what people expect... Great for a quick bite, bite after drinks, not for an actual dinner you want to feel good after lol but again pizza is heavy!

Food: After a long day, having a few pepperoni slices from here, fresh out of the oven, really hit the spot. It's $5 for a slice, and $2.25 for a side of their homemade pasta salad, which isn't too bad. The size of the pasta salad leaves you wanting more, but I guess it's fair for the price you pay. Service: No complaints! Pretty quick at the to-go window. Ambiance: Ordered to go, but you can see the interior from the outside, which has a classic, cozy feel to it. Seems there's limited seating inside, but there are tables out front as well.

A few people raved about this pizza. But I didn't find it to be anything special. To be fair, I only had one slice at the walkup window. It was about the convenience and cuteness of it though

Oh this place is such a gem in Catalina. Feels like a restaurant trapped in time with all the novelties and decor. The service is very friendly and talkative. The pizza is delicious choose whatever you want and you can go wrong. Honestly the pizza to me felt like nostalgia, served in those bumpy black trays. Nice and crispy and with good dough to topping ratio.

This is a cozy little pizzeria on the island, full of charm, with lots of fun historic decor hanging all over the walls and even the ceiling. You have two options: dine in or grab a slice. I chose to dine in and it did not disappoint me. My waiter was a lovely kind lady who made my short stay very pleasant. I ordered a small pizza with mushrooms and a garden salad. The salad was very basic yet fresh and I enjoyed it, however, I wish there were more mushrooms on the pizza. As the photo says it all, there are a few canned mushroom pieces sporadically spread on the pizza. The crust was very much to my liking, neither thick nor thin, perfect thickness. The sauce was fresh and the cheese was very fresh and delicious. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience and highly recommend giving this place a try.

I stopped at Original Antonio's on Catalina Island, and this spot delivers exactly what you want after a long beach day, simple, satisfying pizza in a laid-back setting. The first thing you notice is the vibe. The place leans into a classic, old-school pizzeria feel with a 1950s-style theme and casual seating. You walk in, order at the counter, and either grab a table or take your slice to go. It feels local, not overly polished, which adds to the experience. The pizza stands out for its thin, slightly crispy crust with a soft chew. The sauce and cheese balance well, and the slices come out hot and loaded with flavor. If you like a New York-style slice with a bit of grease and crunch, this hits. One of the best parts is the flexibility. You grab pizza by the slice, which makes it easy to try different toppings without committing to a whole pie. That works well for visitors who want something quick between activities. The menu goes beyond pizza too. You'll find pasta, sandwiches, garlic bread, and salads, so there's something for everyone in your group. Service is straightforward and friendly. Nothing over the top, but efficient and welcoming, which fits the casual island atmosphere. The place gets busy, so expect a bit of a crowd during peak hours. Overall, Original Antonio's is a solid, no-frills pizza stop on Catalina Island. You go here for a quick, flavorful slice and a relaxed local feel, not a fancy dining experience. If you're in Avalon and want dependable pizza, this spot earns a stop.

The pizza is super good has a great cheese pull and it's very filling it's oven baked and doesn't take forever. The staff is very accommodating and very funny. Me and my boyfriend and I had an amazing time here and had a great laugh with the server and the cooks in the back

We are somewhat far away (some national miles from (LBC) and we are visiting Catalina off season, that being said, we found a pizza place was open for business and it did not disappoint. Had a small pizza it was cheese and delicious.

Located in the high tourist traffic area in Avalon on Catalina Island, Original Antonio's has been a popular restaurant since its opening in 1977. It recently changed ownership in 2024, vowing to keep the menu and recipes the same. My brother and I had the opportunity to stop in for lunch on a Wednesday during a roundtrip cruise stop on the RC Navigator of the Seas from Los Angeles. We found the service to be friendly, the sandwiches to be tasty, and the pizza to be OK. Antonio's is located in downtown Avalon and hard to miss if you walk around the waterfront area. They have an outdoor pizza window where you can order individual slices (now $5.50), and an self-serve outdoor dining area with some picnic tables. We chose to eat-in, were the first in line, and were oked to pick our table. The inside definitely has a mid 20th century charm, with pictures of old movie stars and entertainers lining the walls. The menu has a selection of pizzas and sandwiches, and the various cold drinks are lined up in front to choose from. It is a full service restaurant, so we placed our order with the waitress and waited a bit for our food to be made-to order. No tap water is given, only bottled water if you choose not to drink soda or beer/wine. Two sandwiches were ordered, each cut in half so easy to share. They came with a choice of a bag of Ms Vickers chips or a small portion cup of macaroni salad. The pastrami dip ($15.95) came with a cup of au jus for dipping and the phillly cheese steak ($15.95) had the requisite vegetables. The same bread for each sandwich was excellent, and had been expertly toasted to give it a bit of heft. The waitress told us the dough was made daily somewhere in LA and brought here to be baked fresh. It really showed. The filling didn't really match the excellence of the bread. It had all the ingredients, but just not enough of it to make it a wow. The pastrami was sliced very thinly, and came with pepperoncini and dijon mustard. I enjoyed the sandwich, especially dipped in the au jus. The philly probably wouldn't satisfy a true cheesesteak aficionado. The good steak (on the menu as being prime rib) looked like it had been hand cut into strips, and there wasn't too much of it. It was enhanced with provolone and peppers and mushrooms, which had been well prepared. If the name of the restaurant has 'Pizzeria', I would expect it to be the standout of the menu, and in this case, it really wasn't. It comes in two sizes, so we ordered the small combination pizza ($17.50) with six smaller slices. In summary, the pizza was OK...with most of the volume being taken up by the crust. If I had to classify it, it would probably be considered a pan pizza, with it being baked in a pan and the crust touching the edge. The bottom of the crust was crispy, the dough is prepared daily, and it had a pleasant soft taste. All the toppings were there, but they were making sure not too much was given (controlling costs) The sauce was on the sweeter side, which went well with the puffy crust. Service was fine, with no issues. Payment is processed at the table, and 10% discount is given for military (active/veterans). It was getting a bit busier as we were ready to head out, so was glad we had chosen to eat a bit earlier.

Decent slice of pizza made a great late night snack. Thick & cheesy like me. Fast & friendly service. Did not go inside, but outside was nice. It was close to my hotel, so that was a bonus

Jumbo wings lol. Not so many much

I realize it's hard to find a 5 star restaurant on a small Island. But I kinda expect better tasting food for such limited options. But maybe it takes too long to get flavorful items shipped to the island? I don't know. We ordered the jumbo buffalo wings which weren't jumbo at all. See pics. It was kind of laughable. Antipasto salad was ok, but lacking compared to the same salads on the mainland. Some sliced salami, cucumbers, black olives and mozzarella over lettuce. Impressive. *EyeRoll* Antonio's cheese crisp with pepperoncinis was the best but it wasn't even warm. The sourdough pizza with pepperoni was really doughy and the pizza sauce was bland. I'm not sure if we're being overly picky but for the expense of the food items I would hope they'd be better and more flavorable. These aren't chain restaurants and they have local workers so I'd hope they'd take pride in their food. But again, maybe it's the limited supply of items and the availability of having them on the island? We did a to go order so can't rate the service itself other than the phone call where the girl seemed irritated that we were calling in for a pick up order. We told her right away that we had multiple items and after the first order she asked is that all? Probably just a habit but it was annoying.

I picked it because it had a to-go window. Food was good and I saw the pizza coming out and wish I had gotten some. Be advised that they charge for to-go boxes. It was really busy when I went so there was a bit of a wait because of how many were in line and waiting.
