Blended latte and Iced White Mocha
    Carlo G.

Solid coffee shop in Avalon that also serves pastries and a variety of breakfast foods. To drink, I had their Iced White Mocha and it was pretty good. The iced version only comes in double size (16 oz). The drink was sweet and creamy and went well with the pastry I brought from the mainland. It is on a pricer side for an iced coffee drink, but still good for the island nonetheless. My friend and I visited around 8am on a Saturday and it was pretty busy. We waited around 10 minutes to receive our drink order. For seating, there's only outdoor seating. I'd recommend this spot to anyone visiting Avalon!

I can see why this is a popular coffee spot, but after two visits, I don't think it's one I'd personally return to. The drinks were just okay for the price. My iced mocha was decent, while the mango smoothie was refreshing and definitely hit the spot on a hot day. That said, I paid about $20 (including tip) for the two drinks, which felt a bit steep for what we received. The cafe itself is small, with just enough room inside to place your order and a small self-serve station for straws and napkins. After ordering, the staff directs everyone to wait outside until your name is called at the pickup window. All of the seating is outdoors, and there isn't much shade, so on the extremely hot day we visited, it definitely wasn't a place we wanted to linger. We grabbed our drinks and were on our way pretty quickly. Unfortunately, the service has been consistently disappointing both times I've visited. I understand that summer is a busy season and the staff are trying to keep the line moving, but the interactions came across as rushed and, at times, borderline rude. During my first visit, I asked to have my drink remade, and while they did remake it, the attitude I received made me feel like I was inconveniencing them just by asking. It was uncomfortable enough that I felt bad for speaking up, which was disappointing, especially considering the satisfaction guarantee advertised on the menu. Overall, I understand why this place stays busy; it's a well-known coffee stop in Catalina, but between the average drinks, high prices, and underwhelming service, I'll probably check out a different cafe the next time I'm back.

The ice blended mocha was good. I wanted to try the iced matcha but a previous review said it wasn't that good so I opted to just get the Matcha cookie. Definitely different and not too bad but not something I would come back and order again.

This spot is near the arcade tucked inside the little alleys. We ordered the iced horchata latte and this was actually good although i couldnt taste too much of the coffee but the other flavors were refreshing and not too sweet. Both of these with a substitution of almond milk came out to $20 which is pretty steep:/

This is a great bakery shop for delicious bakery goods, also grab and go for breakfast and lunch. They open very early in the morning and ordering online for pickup is very convenient. We like the iced coffee and matcha latte with oat milk. I love peach turnover, lemon seed muffin and matcha white chocolate cookie. Sister loves the gluten free chocolate cookie and vegan pastry. I have yet tried their breakfast but I plan to next time we are in town. A fantastic shop to stop by for caffeine boosts and bakeries!

I mean there was a line here... coffee was nice, water was delicious ... and people were nice What more can you ask for when you wake up early to travel and need a pick me up Shopping right in front... public clean restroom a few steps away An area to rest and sit under shade.

For a Sunday morning before catching the ferry back, it was quite busy. There aren't many places that have good lattes and Catalina coffee has enough variety. It's a little space to grab and go with seating outside in a quaint courtyard. I got the Mant Blanc with orange zest.

This is the place to be in the mornings! You can smelll the fresh baked goods as you come down the streets. From breakfast sandwiches to cookies and caffeine, it's a must stop. The surrounding alley is lush with plants and a whimsical place to sit and enjoy your meal

We absolutely loved this little coffee shop! It's located in the back corner of the arcade area in Avalon, surrounded by beautiful trees and plenty of tables & seating areas! The staff here was so lovely, it was our first time & they offered plenty of suggestions/modifications they can make to your drinks. Not pictured here was the chocolate croissant and the berry danish we had that were absolutely delicious as well! The inside is quite small but so so cute. They have so many little trinkets to look at for purchase as well. Our drinks came out very quick which was awesome! I will say we went quite early in the morning on a Thursday, and again early morning on a Friday and it wasn't busy. However, we stopped by again later in the day on Friday to check out all the cute stores surrounding and it was PACKED! To beat the crowd, go early. We loved it here and will absolutely be back next time we're in Avalon!

The cookies and pastries here absolutely look amazing. They are all freshly baked. We grabbed a couple of drinks, including the hot chocolate and the iced latte with extra shots of espresso. Also grabbed a ham and cheese croissant sandwich. We took the first shuttle out of Long Beach to Avalon so this place was not too busy and there was plenty of seating. Please come and treat your own adventure.

    Matcha white chocolate chip cookie

Stopped by Catalina Coffee & Cookie Co. while exploring Avalon and it ended up being one of my favorite treats of the trip. I tried the white chocolate matcha cookie (didn't even know that was a thing!) and it was SO good--perfectly soft with a great balance of matcha and sweetness from the white chocolate. The iced lattes were delicious too. The inside is tiny! There is friendly service and definitely a popular spot because there was a line out the door pretty much every time we walked by (our hotel was right in the same courtyard), but honestly, it was worth the wait if you're craving something sweet or need a caffeine boost.

Byob (build your own bagel), and strawberry matcha with extra matcha
    Rose H.

No but how is this random Catalina cafe serving the best, vibrant GREEN matcha I've ever tasted?????? I asked for extra matcha because I underestimated them and then I had one of the most yummiest, earthy, flavorful matchas ever??? You have to be a real matcha lover to like this stuff. They ALSO have a build your own sandwich/bagel/burrito- whatever you want. I loved it so much. Can get very busy and seating is limited in the summer but I would go again and again just for the matcha. They were also so kind about the substitutions I made!

I found this place on TikTok and it looked super cute. I ordered the Horchata Latte and it was a solid latte. I had also ordered an Asiago Bagel with Garlic Cream Cheese, but waited a bit for it. Everyone in my party had gotten there's but mine never ended going out. Once I asked, they did prioritize it though. Overall, good spot on the island for coffee!

The lobster roll was good, but honestly there was a bed of spinach on the bottom under the lobster which felt a little cheap given it was a pretty small lobster roll to begin with. I'm not sure if this is a Catalina Island thing since we noticed this across several restaurants there, but give the people more fries! I shouldn't be able to count how many there are. The broccolini was good as well and nice and soft, but again the portion size was tiny--I paid $6 for 5 broccolini...Overall, it's a great option on the island where they probably have to import most ingredients.
