It is American Chinese food not authentic Chinese cuisine. Food is so so. But the restaurant has beautiful Chinese decorations.

Normally I love Oriental Wok and believe they have the best quality Chinese food in town, but the last two times I ordered takeout my Lo Mein was much too greasy. There was so much oil dripping from the vegetables and such towards the bottom that I couldn't eat it. Still giving 4/5 stars because of the 10+ times I've ordered only two have been subpar. We've always heard good things about Oriental Wok and have wanted to try it. We finally did. We ordered the Crab Rangoon, which was perfectly crispy with such tasty crab deliciousness inside. You get eight with the order, so it's enough for a family or group. I ordered chicken Pad Thai. The flavors were so good and the noodles were cooked to perfection, with just the right amount of cilantro and peanuts also. My husband had Szechuan chicken with a side of fried rice and he enjoyed his thoroughly as well. The service was excellent. Everyone was so attentive and genuine. read more

Within the last month, my family and I have probably ordered Oriental Wok 5 times. Each time it is incredible. They offer to-go drinks and those are great, too. Each time we have ordered carry-out, our food has been waiting for us and ready to go. My favorite dishes are the Beef Fried Rice, Mongolian Beef, Chicken Lo Mein, and the pot stickers. Be sure to order one of those if you're ever in the area and hungry for Chinese. read more

Consistently amazing. My family loves this place for take out. My favorite menu items are the crab Rangoon, pad Thai (blows Pf Chang's Verizon out of the water), Bali maki, and volcano shrimp, and of course chicken fried rice. Random plus is the to go containers can be easily reused. I have also dined in three times. The restaurant is beautiful and ornate. It feels very fancy. My rehearsal dinner for my September wedding was held here and it was a wonderful experiences. The owner works with you to select dishes and each dish mean something in the Chinese tradition. We did a family style meal with tons of choices of appetizers and entrees. It was awesome to try things I Haden's had yet and there was not a single dish I did not love. One of the best quality Chinese places in town. This isn't the grab-to-go kind of cheap-o Chinese places that proliferate the tri-state. Dishes here are prepared, not made, and there is a difference. Granted, I got the General's Chicken, totally Americanized, but the veggies were good, and the chicken was prepared Very tender and the sauce was their proprietary recipe. (also available at groceries-called General Wong's Spicy Stir-Fry Sauce... Some in my fridge right now!). Atmosphere is great, and the service is spectacular! Very professional and attentive, but not overly so. The two times I've been (and will increase that soon), I've chatted with the owner, and everyone is genuinely thankful for choosing their establishment in which to dine. My eyes were dilated from an eye exam, so I didn't really investigate the menu in depth tonight, and I just ordered what I'd had in the past, but I'm going back to see what other tastebud treats they have. My boss at Fireside recently made me an Oriental Wok fan when he brought it in for a staff meal, so I decided to grab some take out today. Best quality Chinese food you'll ever eat! You can tell they use quality ingredients. The Lemon Chicken was my favorite! Food was still hot when we got home a half hour later. Also, it might be a little more expensive than other places but it's so worth it, and portions are pretty big. It looks like they have a great atmosphere there and a good beer list. So when this ban on dine-in due to the corona is lifted, I'll be sure to be one of their first tables back! read more

This will be a short one, because we got carry out, so I can't speak to atmosphere or service in this review, but I can talk about the 5 star food. My order was an egg roll (with extra hot mustard on the side), Kung Pao beef, Hot and Sour soup and Volcano chicken. The Kung Pao beef was amazing. Thinly sliced beef can get tough so easily. Not so with this dish. Every bite was tender, even when I reheated the leftovers from the generous portion. Amazing value for this dish. The Volcano chicken was good. I would have preferred it a little spicier so I'll ask for a little extra spicy next time. Still, very good. The rice that accompanied both dishes was of excellent quality as well. A quick note about the hot mustard. If you like a screaming hot mustard, this is a place for you. Kapow this stuff was kicking! I absolutely love a good hot Chinese mustard, and this might be my new favorite. It's worth getting an egg roll just to have something to put the mustard on. I look forward to dining in to update my review with service and atmosphere notes, but I'm sure the 5 star rating will remain. read more

Beautiful interior and efficient, friendly service. You can tell there's a lot of love by the owners here, both of which I happened to run into in my takeout experience. They were very present and engaged. I had they shrimp and mushroom with garlic sauce dish after munching on the calamari appetizer. Both were delicious, although I wouldn't call this authentic Chinese food. These are American variations on the traditional dishes, but with excellent taste. No cheap Chinese dishes here and well-worth the price. read more

Not great with larger groups. Servers dont seem to know what comes with the entree and they quibble about adding carrots or veggies after saying it comes with the dish. Sorta pricey and dont clean the glasses very well.. basically not worth the hype, so just go somewhere else and dont waste your money! read more

You can tell they put a lot of effort into the food they make so that its absolutely delicious when you eat it. Every entree we got was so good. I've been mesmerized with this restaurant and I finally got the opportunity to visit. Let me first say the decor is magnificent it's absolutely beautiful in there. I would definitely love to have a dinner party at the establishment. The service was good and so was the food. It was also nice to be able to experience lunch prices until 3pm. I wasn't satisfied with my cocktail & our waiter immediately exchanged my cocktail for plum wine. It was a great experience I will go back someday. read more

At Oriental Wok, the sharp-looking and comfortable old-school Americanized-Chinese décor and atmosphere and pleasant, professional service cannot make up for Americanized Chinese food that is a bit bland and unremarkable for the rather steep prices. We've visited three times over several years, once for dinner (the most recent visit) and twice for lunch. Oddly enough, on one of the lunch occasions when the restaurant was just about empty, the kitchen seemed to step it up a couple of notches. A mushroom dish was subtle and delicious. Maybe it's because the cook had the time to really focus (who knows?). The other times featured too much blandness and sweetness. This last time, we shared siu mai, lettuce wraps, Szechuan shrimp, mushu pork, and spicy green beans. The siu mai and lettuce wraps were okay and fresh-tasting, but packed little punch--the pork flavor was barely there, and more ginger and garlic sure would have helped. The Szechuan shrimp and spicy green beans both had sauces that had disappointingly muddy and rather unpleasantly sweet flavor profiles and seemed to be cooked down too much. Not very satisfying. (And despite the menu's indication that these items would be hot and spicy, the heat levels were tepid.) The mushu pork was sort of like the appetizers--fresh-tasting but a bit on the bland side. A fourth diner had the Szechuan chicken, which was just like the shrimp. That food plus two draft beers and two Diet Cokes set us back over a hundred bucks. You ought to get dazzled a bit at such prices, but, except for that one mushroom dish at one of the lunches, no dazzle was there. This Oriental Wok location is in the ground floor of the Regency residential tower, whose condos are owned almost entirely by retirees. Retirees make up a good portion of the restaurant's clientele, too, so that may explain the tamped-down flavors. One positive feature of the Regency location is the parking--it's usually ample and easy to deal with. read more

Went for dinner here last night with my son and wife. My son and I had the Sesame Chicken and my wife had the Wok Chicken. They were large portions and came with a choice of white, brown or fried rice. You can taste the quality in their food versus many other Chinese restaurants. We also had Won Ton soup, Egg Drop soup and crab rangoons. All homemade. The soup was $5 per bowl (a little high) and the crab rangoon was $8.95 for 12 which was very reasonable. They were fantastic. My wife enjoyed her egg drop soup. My won ton soup was OK but nothing special. Prices are a little high here, but you are paying for the quality and service. All the employees were very friendly and service was excellent from the hostess to the waitress to the busboys. They have a large drink and wine list. The menu has a good amount of items on it including several Special Seafood dinners. They don't have any family dinners like at cheaper Chinese restaurants or combination dinners (Happy Family). You must pick chicken, beef, pork or seafood. Same owners as the Oriental Wok in Northern Kentucky. read more

I just had the shrimp fried rice but the shrimp were large for shrimp fried rice and the portion size was good. Its family owned and operated. I grabbed a late lunch here the other day. The interior is very nice. An upscale feel to it and a very chill atmosphere. The staff was very attentive without being annoying, and really seemed to care about my experience. I was impressed. I started with an egg roll which was nice and crunchy and had a great savory taste to it. They also had some great hot mustard. You know, the kind that clears the sinuses. I love it! They had some unique dishes on the menu but I stuck with a simple chicken lo mein. The sauce was thicker and sweeter than most places, but very good. The portion was just the right size. Really great, high quality Chinese food. I love Chinese food but it is so hard to find a place that has GOOD food. I've done a lot of trial and error in the area. I can't eat the cheap meat Chinese food. Oriental Wok has delicious food and high quality white meat chicken. This is the only place I'll go from now on. Loving the 9 course banquet. Make reservations early next year. I almost feel like I cannot review the Wok, only having been there in recent years for their Chinese New Year banquet, when you know they pull out all stops. I've not been just for a regular outing .
