This place seems to be primarily designed for take out although they have a dining room. When we ordered for our table the food was served in take out boxes with disposable utensils. The dish was decent, but a terrible dining experience. I was the only person dining and the apparent owner just stood at the counter staring at me every second. I'm a huge lover of just green beans and rice and egg drop soup - I'm more pescatarian. Anywho! The shrimp fried rice seemed a bit dry and I didn't care for it. They opened at 4:30 and I ordered at 4:35PM...I'm not sure where it went wrong, but it definitely wasn't good. I've had much better shrimp fried rice at other places. The kung pao chicken and shrimp was flavorful, but not for me. I wish I would have just gotten shrimp without the chicken. I think a meat-eater would truly love it, but I'm all about textures. The chicken has a chewy texture and I just couldn't get into it. But everything else about it was right on the money. And now to green beans and chicken. Again, the chicken had a chewy texture that I couldn't handle. I tried to pick around the chicken and only eat the green beans, but the green beans were half cooked - the beans inside were still somewhat raw. It didn't have much flavor and was just a big disappointment as that is what I was most excited about eating. All in all, I do not think I will return. I didn't enjoy the meal and would prefer to stick to other restaurants that I've had. The service was very attentive. Other reviews are right that this feels like, primarily, a takeout place, but that takes nothing away from the quality of the food. Everything was great. We came here for dinner last night and we got their pot stickers, wonton soup, orange chicken and sesame chicken. The fried pot stickers were yummy, the soup was not great. They didn't give us any silverware and they didn't give us orange chicken. They gave us a different chicken with peppers in it. My GO-TO for Oriental food. Their Hot & Sour soup is MY chicken soup. It's the mushrooms. I order about 8 cups of it when I order my dinners and I eat the soup throughout the week and it's amazing how good you feel. The Beef Pepper Steak is great, Chicken Curry, Sauteed Green Beans with Shrimp, Jalapeno Beef.....everything! Oh....also fried Dumplings and the Egg Rolls aren't greasy! We always have enough to eat at least 2 nights on them. I usually order half my rice steamed and half fried. Later I take the steamed leftover rice and make sweet rice....sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, half & half, whipping cream....and a little milk, butter. Then add whatever you like. We've tried this place a few times and I've never been wowed. This last time was no exception. The owner and the customer service is excellent. My husband always comes back with a free order of donuts. The entree portions are enormous... Enormous. Leftovers for days. I love the online ordering system as well. The orange chicken was good, flavorful, but lacked the spice. It is listed as a spicy dish, but I didn't find the heat at all. I really wanted noodles with my order, unfortunately you can only choose fried or steamed rice. So I "had to" order an enormous dish of lo mein noodles. Unfortunately, I was disappointed at the flavor. It just lacked seasoning, but they were cooked well and the shrimp was on point! My husband got the sweet and sour shrimp. It's definitely a heck of a lot of breading compared to the shrimp size, but he managed to eat the whole thing so I'm guessing it was good. The egg rolls are good, a million percent better than the gross ones from Panda Express, which is so close to home, it's usually my go-to place. Well cooked, but nothing super fancy. I struggled to find the crab in the crab puffs. They are good, but they should be called cream cheese puffs. I haven't really found a great Chinese place that I love in the area. I've read all the rage about this place and it did not disappoint. First off, the owner is as nice as can be. She is super sweet and while she runs the front, her husband is in charge of the kitchen as the head chef. So here is what she gave me and let's just say, I was one happy girl when I opened up my boxes when I got home! 陳皮雞 Gen Tso Chicken- The dark meat chicken is battered just right and has a slight crisp as it is cooked perfectly in a sweet and tangy sauce. This dish is usually a good benchmark for me for Chinese food. 豆干炒肉絲 Pork and dry tofu bean curd- I think this dish is off menu? This is literally something my mom would cook for me growing up and it was so good. My mom would prolly smack me on the head right now but it is just as good as what my mom would make it! 炒米粉 Singapore rice vermicelli rice noddles- I saw a lot of pics of this and I am glad she added it to my order. It has shrimp,pork, beef, fluffy eggs, broccoli, carrots, and napa cabbage. I heated this up the next day and it tasted just as good! 炸麵包 Fried donuts- guilty pleasure. It's literally just fried dough dipped in sugar. Just cant go wrong. 酸辣湯 Hot & Sour Soup- ok, i am a hot and sour soup fiend. This hits the spot for me. It has a great balance of the vinegaryness (yes I know that is a made up word but it's the best word for it!) and a slight hint of spiciness that makes you want more. You can tell they cooked it to order and nothing is sitting under a heat lamp. My wife likes the sesame chicken. It somehow is still nice and crispy and super hot even with all the sauce on there. I get the Singapore rice noodles. You should get the fried dumplings and the crab rangoons. While you're at it, make sure you don't forget the chili garlic edamame. It looks like they throw it in a wok and get the garlic super fragrant. Slight char on the bean pods. It makes me angry that other Asian restaurants don't make edamame like this. I could eat that whole box. Food is always delivered faster than promised. Just make sure you order through their website, not through a 3rd party delivery company. She was very attentive and helpful. The ladies here are so friendly. They will give you fried wontons with sweet and sour sauce on the side as a starter. They also bring the plates out as soon as it's cooked. They don't want it getting cold. That's a plus! We ordered the General Tso's chicken with brown rice and Triple Crown with fried rice. Make it a complete dinner for $3 extra and get a soup with egg roll. I chose the hot and sour soup. The hot and sour soup had good flavor. It came in a bowl and not a cup. You get plenty of soup. The egg roll was crispy and good. Yum! Triple crown was delicious. The sauce has good flavor and the vegetables had good texture. It wasn't soggy. The General Tso's chicken had big pieces of chicken and the sauce had a good flavor. We asked for it be extra spicy, but not too much spice (just in case it was too spicy). We probably should have asked them to kick it up more since it wasn't much of a kick. They do have sriracha, hot mustard, and chili sauce. They give it to you in a plastic sauce cups so be sure to ask for some if you need it. Also, they can give you more rice just ask. We were so stuffed that we had plenty of leftovers to take home. This used to be one of my favorite Chinese food places, but it's gone downhill with the new ownership. I've given them three chances, each time saying I won't be back, but meaning it this time. Anything fried tastes like the oil is spoiled and old. The general tso and orange chicken suffer for this one. The Mongolian sauce and brown sauce used in the combination lo mein are so full of added msg it tastes like I'm eating melted bouillon. This place is awesome! IMO this is the best Asian food in Pville and surrounding area. The service is top notch! They are quick with getting your beverages and bringing out the food. The restaurant is always neat and clean. I have tried several of the dishes and they are legit. The portions are huge. I'm a big guy and I usually can't finish all my food. My favorite is the General Tso Chicken, I'm getting hungry just thinking about it. Each time I go I try something different. This last visit we went in a Sunday and our waiter asked if I had tried the fried chicken. He said it's a special recipe and they only make it on Sunday. So I thought well hell I gotta try this and let me tell you it was worth it. The chicken pieces were huge. The skin was crunchy and meat was moist and tender, was really really good.
