Overall Orienta was a pleasant and friendly little restaurant. The staff treated you like family and was very attentive. And the food was absolutely delicious.

Orienta is a high-end, luxury French-Asian fusion restaurant centrally located near Main Street, Greenwich. Ambiance is understated, with low light and tables a bit too close to each other, bordering on cramped. Diners are permitted to eat at the bar, which opens up more cuisine area but eviscerates any casual bar scene. We arrived early and tried to grab a drink at the bar. The proprietor shoed us away as there was no room at the bar for drinks (perhaps something the restaurant should rethink). He was not overtly rude - but he wasn't particularly pleasant either. Surprised, we left for another bar and returned later for dinner. I'm glad we did. As part of a large group, we ordered a number of dishes and shared collectively. Everything was delicious (perhaps that's why the proprietor felt comfortable encouraging us to leave for a drink). For appetizers, the baby back ribs were the star - rich pork falling off the bone. For main dishes, the spicy duck lo mein is a must. Although the food is exceptional, prices are sky high. For six people, the cost exceeded $900 with very modest beverage consumption. I'll be back, but preferably on an expense account.

What a wonderful gem of a restaurant! We stopped in because we wanted something different and boy were we pleased we decided to come here. The service was excellent, quick and efficient. I mentioned to my server that I had a food allergy and she was excellent in ensuring I avoided things I should not be having from the menu. For starters we had the pork spring rolls which were served with a delicious sauce. They suggested we rap them in the lettuce they provided and it was so good! For our entrees I had the Shaking beef plate and my girlfriend had the Spicy Duck Lo mein. Both of our meals were so good. The Shaking Beef was out of this world. The veggies and beef was cooked perfectly and tasted even better. My girlfriend really enjoyed her duck, she opted out of the lo mein and had the Jasmine rice which she preferred. I can definitely see ourselves coming back to try other items. The ambiance at the restaurant was so good. The lighting was perfect and it was nicely decorated. They have a long bar area available for dining as well.

Overall it's a pretty good restaurant. The decorations are chic and the place has a nice vibe. Service was decent too. Food was good overall but tbh not very memorable.

Orienta was a unique French-Vietnamese fusion restaurant with old world style and charm. The food was delicious -- not saturated in overwhelming flavors -- but subtle. The staff and owners clearly love what they do and it shows in the quality of each appetizer. Entrée and desert. While my partners steak was a little on the well-done side, my duck was prepared perfectly. The meat had just enough fat to hold flavor while not smothering the meat. Thanks for a great meal and birthday dinner for Ty!

I really enjoyed this restaurant. The service was great, the dishes came out quickly and hot. I loved everything I tried and already excited to go back to try so many other things. Even their lunch menu is a little different. The one thing I didn't love was the dressing on the Salad Chinoise-- too much vinegar. Otherwise, great food and atmosphere. The coconut tapioca pudding was amazing as well. Such a unique place for Greenwich and conveniently located. Definitely try it!

Orienta Greenwich is top Vietnamese with a French Twist that excels in delivering explosives flavors that adorn all master chef Adrien Bleck dishes and specials . The Shrimp Pho will rejuvenate and uplift your spirit. This is from now on one of my favorite table in the North East . Bravo Orienta ! Bon appétit PascalPicks

Overall disappointing. Many of the dishes were clearly previously frozen. Too salty and all the sauces were off.

The food is just so good and I had the best lychee martini ever here. Would recommend: corn ribs, rock shrimp, honey chashu, duck pancakes, and those hibachi noodles are sooo good. Immediately upon sitting down we saw that the prices were insane for what the menu items actually were. We ordered the shrimp tempura appetizer, which was $18 for 4 shrimp. It was very good, but worth it...? I don't know. The sweet potato croquettes had a great texture on the interior and exterior, but absolutely no flavor inside. The dim sum was delicious, but also overpriced for just 4 small soup dumplings. I ordered the stir-fried udon, and the noodles themselves were delicious, but the chicken was tough/overcooked and also had no flavor. The organic grilled chicken was a bit burnt on the outside and too salty. It was a $32 plate for just chicken and a few veggies-- it didn't even come with white rice or anything. For this price point, I'd expect that I'm paying for at least great service. But our waiter left us alone and only checked on us maybe twice the whole time? We were waiting about 15 minutes just to get the check because he'd completely disappeared. The restaurant wasn't crowded, and we were one of just two tables in the section, so I'm not sure why he left us alone for so long. Eventually, two other employees checked us out and packed our food after waiting that long. Overall, it was pretty disappointing and we left wishing we'd just gone somewhere else. I've gone to Japanese restaurants and had the same amount of food (if not more) for better quality, better service, and better price.

Everything I've ordered has been amazing, and I honestly don't understand how the rating is so low. The service is super fast, and while I usually do takeout, the inside looks very clean and well kept. The General Tso's chicken is outstanding, and I also love the lo mein. Unlike so many other Chinese spots in Greenwich, the food here isn't greasy at all, which makes such a difference. I can't recommend this place enough--I'm constantly telling everyone about it. And if you were a fan of Oriental Gourmet in Old Greenwich, this is the closest Chinese food I've found to them.

Over past visits, I've ordered the mango & jicama salad, mixed greens salad, seaweed salad, satay chicken, salmon avocado roll, and yellowtail scallion roll, and have also shared the wonton soup, spicy scallop roll, and Philadelphia roll. The mango & jicama salad is light and refreshing, the seaweed salad is standard, but I prefer the mixed greens salad -- it feels a bit more substantial and includes jicama, tomatoes, carrots, and a tasty peanut dressing. The satay chicken was solid and true to its name, though a bit oily for my taste. The wonton soup had a nice balance of filling to wrapper and was comforting. Both the salmon avocado roll and yellowtail scallion roll were fresh with a good fish-to-rice ratio. The yellowtail scallion roll wasn't rolled tightly enough, so it fell apart a little, but it still tasted great. The spicy scallop roll came mixed, which isn't my personal preference, and the Philadelphia roll was about what you'd expect. Overall, my favorites are the mixed greens salad, salmon avocado roll, and yellowtail scallion roll. I plan to stick with those three next time!

For anyone wondering about the name, it's pronounced "Me-uh Chah" (not "Mek-ah") and translates to "Mother and Father"--which feels fitting given how much more "soul" the food has lately. A few years back, I felt like they were missing the mark on the essentials, specifically the phở broth and the nước nắm. If you know Vietnamese food, you know those are the dealbreakers. The great news is they've clearly dialed in the recipes. I've been coming back regularly now because the flavors are finally hitting those traditional notes that are so hard to find in this part of Connecticut. My typical order: * Phở Gà (Chicken) * Phở Tái (Rare beef) * Phở Bò Viên (Beef meatballs) * Chả Giò (Fried spring rolls) -- Absolute must-order. They do have a lot of non-traditional stuff like Bao, Handrolls, and a solid Spicy Miso Ramen, and while those are actually very good, I usually stick to the Vietnamese classics since they're doing them so well now. The atmosphere is also worth mentioning. It has a really cool, organic vibe with tons of wood accents. The ceiling is covered in hundreds of 2x4s that hang down like a weeping willow canopy--it's unique and looks great in person. Pro-Tips: * Parking: Don't even bother trying to find a spot on Bedford Street; it's a nightmare. Park in the lot around the back and just use the pedestrian passage to walk through the building. * The App: If you're doing takeout, use their mobile app. It's a lifesaver on the weekends when the dining room gets slammed. So glad to have a reliable phở spot in downtown Stamford again!

I actually went during restaurant week, but since I ordered it to go, I didn't get to take advantage of any of the promo pricing. the ambiance is always nice at Mecha, no matter the location. Even just popping in, you can feel that trendy, laid back vibe they're known for. This was my first time trying bone marrow with my. pho, and I'll admit I thought it came mixed into the broth. Instead, you have to scoop it out of the bone yourself, it reassures you that it's fresh, but I think I might've ordered it wrong. I'd probably go with marrow oil next time for a smoother experience. The pho itself felt clean and comforting, definitely one of those meals you can enjoy a little guilt free, especially if you're feeling under the weather. Overall, it's a good option, just a bit pricey for what it is. I'd be open to coming back, especially to dine in next time during a restaurant week if I have the time.
