Enjoy coming to this place. My favorite sushi is the Elliot Roll. So gooood! I love the sake bomb with the Kirin lite. Can't go wrong with sushi sake and beer. I do like the Kung Pao chicken with no nuts. This dish never fails, it's my go to dish. The spicy shrimp fried rice is always good and good portion size. The sushi pricing here is great. I have had the Mongolian beef and chicken both delicious meat and chicken are both tender. read more

My son LOVES this place so do I and my husband. It's right next to our home. Foods are cheap and yummy. My husband favorite is cashew shrimp ( I hope it's correct). I like everything here. We are too spoiled for living next to the great place like this. read more

Husband wanted sushi for his birthday meal. We were in Mesa and didn't want to go to a chain, so yelp to the rescue! This place is small but don't let that fool you. The sushi they have coming from the sushi bar is very good! We opted for the AYCE option and C got his at half price. I don't even recall how many orders of potsticker husband ordered but it was more than 2. And we ordered at least 5 rolls for us to all share. The price was great for what we got! And did I mention that the entire staff was extremely friendly? Seriously. We had at least 6 people tell us thank you for coming when we were leaving. Lol Next time we're in the mood for sushi, I know where we're going! read more

Follow up review since we were craving sushi. We both got the all you can eat sushi. $27.95 not bad. Well as long as the food is good. Started off with a rainbow roll, tuna roll, and an avocado and salmon roll. It did not disappoint. All were very delicious. Fish was colorful and tasty. Not smelly or dry at all. Rice was cooked well and not mushy. Only small complaint was that some of the rolls weren't tightly rolled so they fell apart. Finished off the meal with a bowl of edamame. A little mushy but ok Once again this place made it worth the long drive from westgate. We will continue coming here as it's one of our favorite sushi places. By the way, the place was completely full around 7pm on a Saturday. Guess a lot of people like the food as much as me! read more

I stopped in here for lunch between the holidays with my daughter. Fast friendly service. The restaurant is very clean. Great selection on the menu. Reasonably priced. The sushi and the rolls are fresh and delicious. I will definitely be coming back here. read more

This restaurant is a great spot for a get together, because the vibes are friendly and lighthearted. The AYCE sushi and the lunch combos are both really good deals so they're my go to. My japanese mom was surprised by the quality of fish, she told me she liked the chirashi. The entree food comes in large portions, i had plenty to take home to eat for lunch the next day. The server and host was very friendly and fun to talk to. The owner of restaurant was very sweet also!! The prices on yelp are all a dollar or two more expensive than the menu so don't let that discourage you from trying some of the best sushi in the valley!!!!! read more

We've been coming to this place for the last 10 years because this place used to be good. The last few times we've been here, we've noticed both the quality of the food as well as the service has considerably decreased. The fish on the nigiri was warm, the cuts of the fish look like it was buttered, and the amount of rice is ridiculous so much so that the fish didn't even cover the rice. We won't be back. read more

I always start with service. If I don't feel welcomed in a restaurant then it's an uphill battle to enjoy my stay. I've been to Orient Sushi Grill 5 or 6 times and EVERY time I've been treated like family. Their sushi, sashimi is sooo fresh. The chefs seem like artists in flavor. Every meal I've had there has been delicious, no exceptions. The inside of the restaurant is not special but it's clean and friendly. read more

Came to Orient Sushi Grill for lunch and it did not disappoint! I specifically came for their all you can option which has a very good variety of sushi, appetizers, and food plates. For the price of $23 it is definitely worth it! We only got sushi this time around with 2 appetizers (calamari and gyoza). No complaints on any of the rolls. The gyoza was good and the calamari was good but I wasn't a big fan of the breading. It appears it's butter fried which I don't know if that makes a big difference compared to actual bread crumbs or how I normal have eaten fried calamari. Other than that everything was amazing and will definitely be coming back! They also have a normal menu without the all you can eat option which is listed in the pictures. read more

We just ordered lunch to go for the first time here. Very impressed with the portions, reasonable prices and quality. I got shrimp teriyaki, the veggies were perfectly cooked and the shrimp wasn't overly cooked. My husband got the curry with tofu and was very pleased. We also got spring rolls and crab wonton. Both perfectly cooked and no greasy mess!! We will def be going here again! read more

The food is delicious. Try the Chandler roll. Just trust me. The only downside is that they kind of indirectly rush you to finish your food. For example, that last time I visited, everytime I looked over the server was just watching us eat. Not sure if that is good service or just them being nosy. Regardless, I was too distracted by my Chandler roll to care too much. read more

My husband was looking for an all you can eat place for sushi and we didn't want to drive all the way to Junn's (we were on a time constraint had to be back home at a certain time)... we'll anyways my husband found Orient sushi and neither one of us could remember if we came here before... and as soon as we parked and went inside we both instantly remembered we've been here before... and then we did the all you can eat and the food came out and our waitress kept checking up on us at first and then disappeared and no where to be found... the sushi was just ok nothing great... we both agreed on why this place wasn't memorable to begin with... And I usually don't send food back or don't touch anything but I do have to say there calamari was pretty bad and that's saying a lot.. the batter they used didn't taste good and they didn't have the crispy battered look to them... but they were busy so MAYBE it was just a bad day for them.. who knows... read more

Ordered tempura and fried rice from them yesterday. Another person and I got really bad food poisoning from it. Had diarrhea and vomiting all night long. When I called the restaurant, the manager (he said his name is Win) said, "Go get a health insurance and go to a doctor. We never had any issue of food poisoning from any customer. Go ahead and find a lawyer." This is the kind of customer service they provide. This is the kind of food they provide. Stay away from them! read more

Traveling from Vegas, I understand we need to lower our expectation when it comes to sushi, but I can honestly say all of their food tasted off and even grossed me out. Fresh delicious sashimi and they're such hearty slices! I won't go anywhere else and always tell others to come here for sushi!

This place is fantastic. My wife and I have been here a few times with great experiences each time. All I would say is be patient when you go in. They make quality sushi and it takes time. They also have great drink specials as well. Come hungry, be nice and give a good tip. read more

My go-to sushi restaurant for 8+ years! Most of the time I do takeout or delivery but dining in is nice too. You can have it delivered directly from them on their website for less than the food delivery companies (within a certain mile radius). Their sushi portions are huge! In fact, whenever we're traveling and I order sushi from someplace else, I'm always disappointed because Orient Sushi has spoiled me over the years. I will typically order a couple sushi rolls and some sashimi. Again, the sashimi portions are terrific. My husband orders the chicken curry and we order various noodles or rice dishes for the kids. If you dine in, you can also do their all-you-can-eat sushi which is great for those with a big appetite! read more

We have been going to this restaurant for years and it use to be very good food and service!! It is also close to our home. Now the only server that is very good, which is ( Tony ) and he does not work on Wednesday. I took my family there on my Granddaughter birthday on Wednesday and had the worst service from a older Asian lady that forgot everything and than had to be reminded her several time about our dinner and drinks. She forgot to bring out several of our orders and had to let her know about it. She act like she is mad a the world and lost in space. After the terrible service, she charge my credit card a 20% tips on a $200+ bill for crappy service we got from her. She did not ask me if it was OK to do so! The owner said that anytime there is more than five people in your party, that they charge the tip even if you get crappy service. I ready like the owners, but they need to changes there servers and policy on how to take care of their customers. If I go back to this restaurant I will leave if the put her with my family again. I do not minded paying someone a good tip if they earn it by taking care of us. read more

Doesn't look like much on the outside, but the staff and food are both amazing. Anytime I travel, I like to try new sushi restaurants, but they never compare to the quality that Orient provides. Every time I come in, I typically have larger parties, and they do an amazing job accommodating us. We do all you can eat every time, and the food is always flowing fast. From the moment you put a food order in, they are very quick at bringing out the food that is ordered. The quality is the best I've had in Arizona, and when I try other sushi places around the country, they never compare to Orient. When I come in now a days I feel like family, seeing all the familiar faces of the staff makes me feel at home. No matter what sushi I try in other places, Orient always has me coming back for more! read more

Vegan reviewer here! I've eaten at this spot many but I went in a couple months ago for the first time in a couple years with my entire family of 15 (adults and kids) for my post graduation dinner. We called in a reservation a couple days before stopping in on a Friday night. We were seated immediately and our order was taken maybe 15 minutes later. The food comes out as it is made so don't expect to all eat at the same time. I ordered the avocado roll, cucumber roll, the avocado salad and garlic edamame all modified vegan (stating no butter or mayonnaise just in case). My appetizer arrived shortly after and they accidentally brought out regular edamame but replaced it quickly. Once corrected, the garlic edamame was delicious! My salad and sushi rolls came out quickly and wow! They load that thing with avo. It was also a lot larger compared to normal maki rolls you can find at other sushi spots. Everything was fresh and didn't taste fishy or cross contaminated. I have some picky eaters in my family and everyone was really impressed with their meals. We ordered a pretty good variety of food: appetizers, salads, soups, entrees and sushi. I'm glad everyone in my family, including the kids, had no complains about their meals. They still have their all you can eat sushi deal for $23 which includes A LOT of options including vegan options. The sushi quality is still on point as I remember. I can't wait to come back. read more

This sushi place knows how to make good sticky rice! The rolls are all so yummy and plenty to choose from. The baked roll was my personal favorite they pack a lot of fun fish/seafood in their and the sauces make it. The Cali roll- we get one at every sushi place we go- you just have to rock the plain one to make sure the basic ones are good. Super fresh and delicious, good portion sizes too. The rolls are usually cut small enough so I'm not stuffing my face and having trouble chewing. We actually ordered another Cali roll because I just loved it! Definitely going to be our go to sushi place to bring friends and family. read more
